  1. To follow up we decided to stay in Cape Coral for the first three days(3/7-!0/17). Won a Priceline bid for the Holiday Inn(2.5*) in Cape Coral for $90 per night. This was a little below a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for a 2.5* at $99/nite. Could not get anything reasonable for 3/10-15 so ended up using points and staying at the Sheraton Suites in Tampa Westshore.
  2. I'm not crazy about the %50 but I know the hotels in that area pretty well. I'd like to average no more than $100/day with taxes.I am also open to breaking it up (i.e. 3/7-10 and 3/10-15) I have booked the Sheraton Suites for 3/10-15 with SPG points but would cancel for the right price.
  3. Sorry about that. We did not go to Delray Beach. I believe we ended up i Treasure Island but I don't remember the details.
  4. Showing as 3* "New" to Hotwire for $101 per night. %50 rating. Amenities include: Free Internet Free parking Airport shuttle Business center Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Don't think it's the Ramada Westshore cause that has been around for a while. Any idea?
  5. I cannot get to the hotwire hotel lists. Everytime I click the link it takes me to the Hotwire site. I am looking at Chicago 1/23-26/16. Is it me ?
  6. Whe I used the HOTWIRE link on Betterbidding it used to go right to Hotwire results. Now I have to re-enter the trip info on the Hotwire site. It was easier before.
  7. This was PRICELINE EXPRESS: I was in need of 17 rooms for 9/18-21/15 and was able to get the Crowne Plaza at Hollywood Beach with 3 separate purchases (i.e. 8/8/1). I tried to do 9 rooms for one of the purchases but it wouldn't go through. Am pleased with what I see for the hotel reviews and my contact with them so far has been very pleasant. The amenities were: Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center The room rate for all was $90. I've had some success in the past with group/multiple purchases in Pittsburgh(Omni William Penn) and Tampa Westshore(Wyndham now Holiday Inn). You always risk that multiple purchases may not go through but so far so good. I always use your Price.line and HOTWIRE links
  8. There are some other options but this one seemed good. I have some time and will check back if it comes available again. Always use the links!! It does make searching easier.
  9. It was doing that for a while. I called them on it and they confirmed it wasn't available. A couple days ago I was able to get to booking on a few occasions but now I see it's coming up "gone". I've been looking pretty much every day so I'm thinking it may become available again.
  10. Sorry about not ending the thread. We ended up getting the Sheraton Suites for $95/nite. Did this by bidding. Started at $60. It was higher than we have paid in the past. Very good hotel but I was hoping for cheaper.
  11. Checked Hot.wire and *3.5 comes up with the following for $100 per nite: Free Internet Free breakfast Business center Fitness center Near beach Pet friendly Pool(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Any Ideas?
  12. Thanks very much. I did see the other(s) and was wondering about them. I know it is very early yet. This is an annual trip and last year I had success on priceline for about $62/nite at the Doubletree. Would probably jump on the 3* if it was the Hyatt Place though. I use the links all the time and will follow up on this trip as I go.
  13. Looking for 3 rooms for 3/12-17 in the Tampa Airport Westshore area. A 3* came up at $92/day withe folllowing: ■Free parking ■Airport shuttle ■Fitness center ■Pool(s) ■Restaurant(s) ■Business center ■Self-service laundry ■Internet access Any idea? Doesn't look like the Hyatt Place.
  14. Sorry for the late reply but was on the road a lot and just got back home. Got this on Priceline.Express the night before(3/3/14). At first it said could not complete the reservation but it went through on the second try. Sorry I do not have the amenities. If I can find the sheet I'll add a reply. Rooms were a little outdated but the staff were great and so was the location (right on the bay) and the pools. Thank you for your help. Not sure if you want this post here.
  15. Can't pull the trigger yet. I'd be ok with it but I still have about a week. We have 3 people and this does give a bed choice w/sleeper sofa. It's just driving me a little nuts because i can't find any reference to an indoor and outdoor pool, and the casino on any website. I'll post when I decide Use the Betterbidding links. Still getting used to the website update/changes. Thanks!
  16. Thanks. I was looking at Chase Suites which I would be ok with. The other odd thing is an indoor and an outdoor pool. I just haven't seen that on any websites describing the amenities.
  17. I wonder if anyone has an idea what this one may be. Need 2 rooms for 3/4-6/14. This 2.5* comes up in Tampa Airport West at $105/nite. The Casino has me stumped. The only casino I am aware of is Hardrock which is not in that zone. Rated 7.0 Thanks for any help. 18. It was a retail rate so I knew it was Enterprise. It's cancellable but I don't plan to do that. The rate for a pickup and drop off at Tpa/Tampa Airport was and has been $500+. I rented a one day car to get to Clearwater/St. Pete for under $40 on the Dollar site. That's still only about $170 total. Its 10 miles away.
  19. Couldn't believe the price when I saw it. Total $129.75 for 9 days. Returning it to the Tampa Airport. Enterprise car rental
