I doubt that the $105 price will come up as it did for me, since they will be trying to make up for the lengthy closing. I think that they are scheduled to open in June but I don't know for sure. I ended up staying at the Presidente for 1 night and at VCI condo for 7 nights. I am going back next March and staying at Royal Mayan condos. I was extremely disappointed that the JW was not open in time for my trip, but now that I have been to a Royal Resort I would not stay anywhere else in Cancun
As long as the zones that you add have only lower quality levels than the level that you are trying for, you can add them and rebid knowing that you can't possibly get a hotel in the additional zones because they don't exist at your requested quality level. You need to check each zones max quality level individually in order to determine your free rebid zones. For example in Toronto the only zone with 4* quality is Downtown, so you can safely add all of the other zones(1 at a time) and get a free rebid, when bidding on 4*. If you were looking for 3* then Scarborough and toronto east are your 2 free rebid zones since they only offer a max of 2* quality. There is an entire thread on this site that explains Free Rebidding if you need further assistance
Was trying for the 2.5 * courtyard but got upgraded to the Radisson (a bit out of the way but a good price) bid 38 countered at $52 rejected up to $47 two separate bids 4 rooms each
Priceline rooms are only guaranteed for double occupancy, so you would have to call the hotel to request 2 beds in the rooms. I have never had a problem getting my requested bed combinations. Also you won't be sure to get the Hyatt when you bid, it could be any 3* property.
Hi Just for future reference there are at least 8 free rebids for 4* downtown Toronto if you use the simple method and well over 100(more than you would ever need) using the exponential method, so you could have increased your bid $1 at a time if you wanted to find the bottom line bid
Price came down so I booked this knowing the probable identity in advance and also knowing that Mar 10th is the reopening day after wilma taxes and fees of 21.89 for a total of $149.89. Price was $133 using my laptop but $128 using my wife's desktop(although taxes and fees were identical)
Hi I would try bidding priceline 4* at $59 and raise $1 for each free rebid if rejected. You should be able to beat the $75. I got rooms for friends at the sheraton for feb 11th(for $59) when the hotwire price was $75 also You might be able to get 3* for between $42 and $50(but I am confident you will get a 4*)
Hi You can get an extra bid in this area by following: 1) niagara 2) Niagara & St Cath 3)Start a new bid nad select Niagara & welland 4)Niagara& Sta Cath and Welland If you can get a rate of $99 Canadian then it will be about the same as your $80 US bid after taxes/fees are added and it is converted to Canadian. It might just be too early for this bid, based on your rates I would have thought that your bid would have been accepted. Hotwire has a 4* for your dates for $71 it is likely the Hilton based on the amenities matched against Hotwire's package listings
I need one night in Cancun for Mar 10th 2006. Hotwire currently lists a 4 star hotel that I believe is the Intercontinental, however this hotel is not scheduled to open until Mar 1st. If I book now and the hotel does not open before my dates, will Hotwire refund my money?
Hotwire is currently showing a 4* Customer Favorite for $63 for your dates(4 nights) Rest, Pool,Fitness, Spa and Business centre(ibelieve that this is the Sheraton) P.S. Your previous hotwire 4* was most likely the King Edward as it is the only Resort listed hotel I would grab the above deal as I have seldom seen Hotwire rates this low Also for EasyClickTravel, each OFF the Record hotel offered has a status listed, in your case the 4.5* for $70.20 has an "on request status" which means that they must check with the hotel first.
