  1. Got on first bid. Could probably gone lower since lots of free rebids, but happy with Hyatt for the price.
  2. Thanks. The reviews are mixed and they refer to the one bedroom unit. Wondering if anyone has stayed in a studio before?
  3. Has anyone stayed at Planet Hollywood Towers in a studio? Orbitz implies that that there is no bed, just a fold out couch in the studio plus a kitchenette. Orbitz also has a one bedroom option but that's double the price of a studio.
  4. Started at $75 w/ Union Square E; added Embaradero and free bids till $82.
  5. The resort fee does not include use of the spa. I was told when I was there in April by the spa receptionist that there is a separate admission fee to use the spa facilities which is basically a tiny sauna and steamroom. I don't recall how much it was, but it was hardly worth the price of admission. Also, I'm not sure about free shoe shine. I've never read that anywhere before. It's something the Four Season's offers, but the Trump ain't the Four Seasons by a looooong stretch.
  6. The Claremount is offering a $99 special including discounted $12 resort fee (regularly $24) through September. Or $109 for breakfast for two. See TravelZoo for details.
  7. Bid $115 and rebid in dollar increments to $119. Hotel rate is $159 so not a big savings but better than nothing. :)
  8. The Mission Hills Villas does not charge a resort fee. However, La Quinta Resort and Spa charges $25/night and Westin Mission Hills charges $20. I don't know if they collect the fee on Hotwire transactions. For Priceline, it's hit or miss. I think the Mission Hills Villas are nicer, better, and more updated than the hotel section. It's worth it to me to pay a little more. And the space is a lot larger with small dining area, kitchen, washer/dryer, etc.
  9. Started at $43 with free rebids up to $48. $10 bonus from Priceline illegally canceling La Quinta Resort reservations. Shame on Priceline and Hilton :)
  10. Started at $65 and worked up in $1 increments. Would have preferred the Hyatt La Jolla, but this hotel just underwent a major room renovation and it's next to the Torrey Pines Lodge and Golf Course.
  11. What happens if you use the link for bidding for two rooms. Do you get $10 off on both rooms or just one room?
  12. Now that Priceline has offiically canceled the reservations, start filing your complaints with the BBB and the California Attorney General's Office. Consumers need to have our rights protected! Have EVERYONE that held a reservation under their name file a complaint, not just the person that received the emails!
  13. Call the hotel and express your disatisfaction and hit the reply button on their email. You should not take this lying down. They have breach your contractual rights and you should not stand for it. I'm am filing a compliant with the Attorney Generals Office and with the Better Business Bureau. I made reservations on behalf of family and friends and I have them filing complaints too!
  14. That's not stepping up to the plate. Priceline needs to force La Quinta to honor all reservations. How could you ever trust Priceline again if they didn't. They would just claim error in the future and cancel your reservation. This is a breach of contract. File a compliant with the California Attorney General's Office and with the Better Business Bureau. If we allow them to get away with this, it opens the door to future abuse. Consumers need to be protected.
  15. Wow, that's more than a year behind schedule. And I can imagine the cost overruns. Priceline ended up moving to the Westin once and the crappy Holiday Inn the second time. Would have been nice to stay at the U.S. Grant for $45 post renovation.
  16. Bid prior to $75 was $73. Exactly the hotel I wanted.
  17. Started at $63 and used free bids up to $82. Surprised it took so much $ to get this stay since Hyatt had availablity on their site.
  18. Started at $70 and bid up. Not very good treatment of Priceline customers who receive 2* rooms. This hotel should be downgraded based on the reviews. :)
  19. Bid prior to win was $82. Hilton and Renaissance is sold out on this night. Hoping for Hyatt, but Westin is okay too.
