I did some background research and bid $55 for a 4* downtown hotel in Atlanta. Bid was rejected. I can stay either downtown or at the airport (I'm getting in on a late flight, so the airport is actually better), so I added the airport zone and kept the bid at $55. The bid was accepted immediately for the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta at ATL. My bid was $55.00 plus $15.42 taxes and fees, for a total of $70.42. The AAA rate that night is $157.

I'm been bidding on SeaTac hotels for the past several months. I live about 100 miles north and it's easier to drive in the night before and stay over for an early morning flight. I got the Coast Gateway last week for $35, and have also had bids accepted for the SeaTac Marriott ($45) and the SeaTac Hilton ($40) in the past two months. I'm new to this board, but will start posting winning bids in the future.
