Sorry,I thought I did. The best rate so far is directly on Payless's site ....$212.00 with all taxes/fees for a mid size.Most are in the 400.00 to 450.00 range...HOTWIRE was 316.00 to 335.00. Any suggestions?

Last year,I got a great rate on a full size car(Mazda CX 5) through Priceline with Hertz for $143.00 total(12.00 day...8 days)from 06/10 to 06/18/2008. I booked it on 02/19/2008. This year, I have gone up to 18.00 day starting with a midsize and rebidding the same price for full,standard and premium with no luck. Also,the fees,taxes,etc seem to be much higher. Did I get lucky last year or am I bidding too early? As always, I used the PRICELINE link.

Used the PRICELINE link and bid $60.00 for 4* downtown Cleveland(which I've tried many times in the past,but never succeeded) and lo and behold it was accepted on the first try.....Renaissance Downtown! Very happy since we are going to the Cavs game and this hotel is connected by a skywalk to the arena......no walking outdoors! Thanks for all your help!

Still looking for a room for March 7th 2009 in the Cleveland Ohio area. Didn't see any hotels listed for Strongsville on the hotel list. Amenities are shuttle,finess center,pool,restaurant,business center,laundry,high speed internet access, and golf nearby. Thanks!

All of the above....done. The date of stay is one night 03/07/09.

Sorry for taking so long to follow up. The Country Inn and Suites was great! Great staff and rather new facility. The young man at the front desk was most helpful.....good area for a variety of restaurants and shopping. Free breakfast in the morning was a little disappointing but the young man at the front desk said that I could use their sister hotel facilities next door(a Comfort Inn I think...also new and almost the twin to the Country Inn),so I ate breakfast there. This is right across the street from the entrance to Six Flags and since I stayed in December, it wasn't near as crazy as I suspect it would be in the summer! Ameneties were comp breakfast,pool,business center and high speed internet access.

Thanks to all who helped and sorry for not following up. We ended up renting a condo directly from the owner in Treasure Island (Sunset Vistas) near St Pete Beach.

Downtown Cleveland Need help with this one...... 3* Comp Breakfast ,fitness center, business center, laundry, internet access. Did a hotel get upgraded and not listed on the Hotwire Hotel List?

I would guess this is NOT the Hilton Garden Inn since no pool is listed.

Saw no listing for a 3* either here or Priceline for Gurnee,so I went ahead and booked this expecting either the Courtyard or Residence Inn in Waukegan. I ended up with the Country Inn and Suites in Gurnee. A little disappointed at this point,but will see how it goes.....mixed bag of reviews on Tripadvisor. Please post all your results on this board so we all can benefit from your experiences!

Ended up having to stay up north of Chicago in the Gurnee area. Will post my results.

Rate was $174.00 and have 2 adults and 2 kids,ages 17 and 11. No,it doesn't replace my other request....I am looking at both options.

Thanks for the info on the update! HOTWIRE is showing that this hotel is a resort, on the beach, fitness, restaurant, and business center. Checking in 6/10 or 6/11/2008...checking out 6/17/2008. Any help would be appreciated! Bob

No 4* listed...anybody have any idea? I really think the hotel list needs a serious update...I think it shows as of 2003.Also,if you use these boards,PLEASE post your results. It helps a great deal.

Just a note.........Web site says they charge $20.00 for overnight parking.

First,yes they play football in August...they are called pre season games. As a Michigan fan,I realize that for the last few years that you have forgotten what real football is all about(GO BUCKS!). But before a major blowout occurs,I'm just kidding and noticed that I said for the last few years! I believe the rating was a 3 star, but it had a large S icon under amenities which indicates that it is an all suite hotel. With a little research,I pretty sure that the Embassy is the only suite hotel downtown and went to thier website to actually see the place and to see the surrounding area/attractions. Also,having stayed at Embassy's before, I pretty know what to expect. Bob

Hey! Thanks for the website! I have used both Hotwire and Priceline on many occasions and use Hotwire first(since they give you some time to make a decision) and then bid on Priceline until now,using TOBB guidelines. Sometimes the deals are just so good on Hotwire that I just don't even bid on Priceline! Anyway,recently got Embassy Suites downtown Cleveland August 15t on Hotwire ( Friday night...Browns vs Packers......GO BROWNS!!!!) for $54.00 night...68.00 and some change with tax and fees. Not bad considering that the Embassy website was $129.00 a night(special) and it includes free drinks at 5:00 o'clock that evening and free cooked to order breakfast the next morning for 4 of us! Again,thanks for a new way to post the deals that are out there to be had! Bob
