  1. Thanks - I think the reason this particular weekend is cheaper in NYC is because it is a week after the Veterans day weekend, which had much higher Hotwire rates, and plane tickets were cheaper this weekend. Neither the Jets or Giants are playing at home this weekend. And its 10 days before the much higher room rates that start after Thanksgiving and run through the middle of December for the holidays. I was thinking of the Monday- Thursday of Thanksgiving week when room rates are super cheaper at great hotels in NYC, but airfares were pretty astronomical, and no cross-country afternoon flights on T-day - so I wouldn't be able to stay to see the Macy's parade, so this weekend I booked hit the sweet spot of low airfare with good flight times, and low Hotwire hotel rates for the weekend. Thanks again for your board - I did start with your link - but than had to click on the targeted $20 email link and sign in - so at the point I had a bunch of Hotwire tabs open, I hope you got credit for the purchase. Can you tell me the proper order of doing that, so I make sure you get credit in the future?

  3. HOTWIRE made it really easy to figure out which hotel this was - on the Hotwire results pick list page - the hot rate hotel was listed as having 2311 Trip Advisor reviews, further down in the other non-hot rate hotels the Hyatt Centric appeared with 2311 Trip Advisor reviews and when I checked on the actual Trip Advisor web site it had 2313 reviews. Also - in the Hotwire reviews - a few of the reviews talked about there being a hospital across the street - which again verified that it was this hotel. 4.5 filled circles 95% Trip Advsor Approved From the Trip advisor and Hotwire reviews most people seemed to really like this place, the only draw back seems to be possible sirens at night because the hospital is across the street. They also let me choose between a king or 2 queens for the same price, I used your HOTWIRE link to purchase - While there was no coupons on your page - Hotwire had sent me one for $15 a few weeks ago that I had to use by the 22nd. 4. I was looking to go to NYC for a weekend between the week after Labor Day and the 3rd week of October - so I did multiple weekend searches and on on this weekend of 09/29/17 - 10/02/017 - a "weekend special" popped up for $136.00 in the Times Square North zone. I used the Trip Advisor rating and the Trip Advisor number of Reviews; along with the Amenities at the hotel to figure out that it was most likely the New York Hilton Midtown, which I had gotten quite a few times in the early 2000's. I love the location and the hotel is fine. So I opted to purchase the hotel and it did turn out to be the New York Hilton Midtown. 5. Results after pressing <enter>: Awesome! You're staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown-Convention Center Can you please change the Subject line to: 3.5 Denver ( Downtown Denver - Central) Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown-Convention Center $105 I am actually SUPER HAPPY - I will be attending an event just a block away at the Convention Center. Plus their free breakfast actually lowers the cost by $5 - $8 a night; and I saved an additional $5 a night by using the HOTWIRE link on this page - available at the time of purchase. I'm glad I did try Priceline by bidding up to $90, that way I have no regrets that I could have done better. This hotel is currently ranked by travelers as #6 of 154 hotels in Denver on Trip Advisor. Price summary Room $420.00 ($105.00 per night x 4 nights x 1 room)
  6. I need help Identifying 3.5-star All-suites Hotel in Downtown Denver - Central area. I pulled up Homewood Suites in the Hotwire Vacation section and all the amenities match. I also bid Priceline from $72 - $90 in $3 increments for 3.5* using free rebids and got nothing. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Please point out any other 3.5* all suites in Downtown Denver - Central Area with between 501- 1000 Trip Advisor Reviews; that I may have missed. Thank you.
  7. The hotel must have recently been changed to a Boutique hotel - as it does not show as "boutique" on the hotel list - but based on the 2001+ Trip Advisor reviews - I knew it would be the Omni before I clicked on "Purchase my Hotel". I picked this hotel because it guaranteed me 2 Double Beds - based on the bed choice option - the Double Bed rate for these dates was the same at the queen bed rate on HOTWIRE. Hotel details Amenities Boutique hotel Business center Fitness center Internet access Pet friendly Restaurant(s) Accessibility Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility 95% Recommended on Hotwire Trip Advisor Rating 4.5 of 5 stars 2001+ reviews
  8. I was looking for a hotel in Downtown Houston - as the convention hotel was a bit pricey. I randomly saw a $60 hotel on Hotwire listed as a 4* Boutique. It showed 4/5 cirlcles on TripAdvisor. At the same time I looked at Hotwire's regular hotel listing and saw the Club Quarters for $69 with basically the same amenities listed. Also - on the Hotwire HotDeal reviews I noticed that someone had mentioning recent construction - and on Trip Advisor someone had mentioned recent construction at the Club Quarters. The only thing that confused me was the 4* Boutique rating - as the Hotwire list shows this hotel at 3.5, so I checked Priceline on their regular booking side and noticed that they show the Club Quarters as a 3*. Anyway - I was pretty sure it was going to be Club Quarters - When I clicked on the $60 link from the intial search - it showed "The last person who booked this hotel got Club Quarters" So I figured my chances were even higer of getting it. Just so you can update your records - this came up as a 4* Boutique Hotel Amenities listed: Free Internet Boutique hotel Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Club Quarters in Houston 720 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77002 Rate per night $60.00 Nights 3 Rooms
  9. Thanks - I am very happy with getting this property based on the TripAdvisor reviews - It is only for a one-night stay after flying into EWR from the west coast - then headed into NYC the next morning, so it will work out perfectly - as we will take the shuttle back to the airport - then the Airporter bus to Port Authority in NYC and a short walk to our NYC hotel.
  10. Saw this hotel on Hotwire for $82 - Bid 2.5* EWR - $72 = no go. Added my only free re-bid - West Jersey City $77 = WIN; Country Inn and Suites - EWR
  11. Thank you so much for your help. I've noticed mixed reviews about this property - so I am going to keep looking Thank you once again.
  12. Sorry - The date is actually 10/25 - 10/26 The 9th item missing is - Fitness Center - along with the other 8 items I listed in my first post. $63 is the current price.
  13. Business Center - Accessible for the deaf - Free Parking - Free Breakfast - Free Internet - In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom - Handicapped parking Fitness 3* Sunnyvale - Cupertino 90% Hotwire recommend 3.5 Stars - Trip Advisor
  14. Sorry that it took so much time to get back to you. It's just that time of year. Thanks for your time in going through the reasons I should not go either way. I did just check again and the hotel I saw yesterday for $72; as described above is not on Hotwire today. There is a whole new 3* for $76 with different amenities. I will take your advice - Thank you for your time. Scott
  15. Thanks 2nd question - And I know that this is the Hotwire forum - Not Priceline. Through a combination of 2 different sites. I have noticed that a lot of people are getting this hotel on Priceline for $52 - $55. There is another 3* in the area The Hilton Mark Center that seems to go for $60 and up. I want to get the Crowned Plaza hotel as the event I am attending is in the Old Town area. And I would not want to get the Hilton Mark Center. Since the Hilton goes for $60 and above. Do you think that I would be safe going for the Crowned Plaza on Priceline at $52; if I get rejected add"Springfield" and bid $55 - If I get rejected just go with HOTWIRE??????
  16. 3-star hotel in Alexandria and Old Town This midscale establishment offers more than just the basics in style, comfort and customer service. See hotel details Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restuarant, High Speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby I'm 99% sure that this is the Crown Plaza - Previously Radisson. Can someone please verify this with me?? Thanks
  17. Looking for a place to stay just one night. Tried 2.5 - $28 and $34 - rejected Tried 3.0 - $37 and $39 - rejected Saw Hotwire had a 2* with only a washing machine as its amenities for only $33 - so I bid $28 and got this.
