  1. Looking for a cheap clean place to stay and the Princeton Zones are usually a good canidate for a Sub $50 win. Cheapest Website rate for Courtyard Princeton was $109 BEFORE taxes and I got it for $1 less for 2 nights inlcuding tax. Seems like a good deal. Used PRICELINE link,
  2. Yeah I do see both pool and internet and I missed the trip-advisor rating which is 4 out of 5 which does match the Sheraton. Guess its a good educated guess (the most you can have on HOTWIRE) that it is the Sheraton. Thanks Aaron and thereuare.
  3. Dates: 5/10/13 to 5/12/13 4* Magnificent Mile/River North Area Amenties are: Indoor Pool, Smoke-free, fitness, resturant, business center. NO Trip Advisor :-( Based on the list, my guess is the Sheraton in that area.
  4. Started bidding again and got it for $15+$3 bonus cash= $18 total per day. I was expecting to get it lower but I did save $58.58 over my Thifty Rental and while I could have gotten a similar price with Sixt, I avoid the shuttle ride and Sixt being a off brand. USED the PRICELINE link. Rental company is Budget and a Compact Car Offer Price Summary Bonus Cash Per Day: $3.00 (per day) Your Offer Price Per Day: $15.00 (per day) Total Offer Price with Bonus: $18.00 (per day) Total Charges to Your Credit Card Your Offer Price: $15.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 6 days(5 days and 14 1/2 hours) Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes and Fees: $63.12 Total Charges: $153.12
  5. Thifty is now down to $151+tax (About $200 all-in) or Sixt at $111 (About $160 all-in). Been being rejected up to $17 a day. I have to stop now till I get paid again as Christmas is getting more expensive then I thought. Do you want to close this and start a new one or should I come back after the new year when I get paid and post here?
  6. Anybody use German rental car company Sixt? They are offering $19.99 per day intermediate cars at MCO $160 all-in for my 6 day rental. Thifty in a second at $230 all-in.
  7. Bid $12+3 for compact= Rejected Bid $14+3 fpr Full Size=Rejected Question: Why does it only show $12 and $14 for my bids on the rejection page? Its almost like I'm not getting credit for the bonus.
  8. Looking to rent a car from January 28-February 3, 2013 out of MCO. Have $3 a day for 6 days rental bonus cash Lowest rate is $210 weekly rate with Thrifty (ironically premium car). Is $12+3=$15 a day too little for a compact car. Thats a 50% discount off of Thifty. Does it make sense to bid low for awhile while I have time? Jason
  9. Well it appears the third time as they say is the charm LOL.. After spending $90 on two crappy hotels closer to my destination of Bangor, PA. I decided to go with an old standby which when it comes up with the ratings and the price is no secret to me what it is. It will take me 30 minutes to get there from Bangor but I know what I'm getting and minus my $90 mistake, its a great deal. 1 Room, 1 Night Holiday Inn Express Suites Lehigh Valley Airport 3375 High Point Blvd Bethlehem, PA 18017 1.610.882.2255 Check in: Sun, Apr 3, 2011 Check out: Mon, Apr 4, 2011 Room 1 - Total: USD 43.16
  10. Well this was strike two on my bid to find a hotel in the area. Purchased a 2.5* in the Stroudsburg area and got this hotel which I really wasn't expecting because it was rated on Travelocity as a 3* why I thought they wouldn't "upgrade" me I don't know but I knew I didn't want to stay at this hotel. I've emailed Travelocity Customer Service as everyone else rates this as a 2* besides the fact that I was told the hotel I was buying was a 2.5* not the 3* they claim. Hopefully I will get somewhere with them, though probably not. 1 Room, 1 Night Days Inn East Stroudsburg 150 Seven Bridge Rd US 209 US 209 / I 80 Exit 309 East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 Check in: Sun, Apr 3, 2011 Check out: Mon, Apr 4, 2011 Room 1: Top Secret Room (1 adult) Pricing Sun, Apr 3 USD 34.60 Sum of nightly rates USD 34.60 Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees : $3.57 Room 1 - Total: USD 38.17
  11. Me too. Been there twice and seems to be a great deal and available on most weekends as you said. FYI For those who stay here, even though its not listed as a delivery store on the Dominos website the store on Union Blvd in Allentown does deliver to the HI Express Store 4792 1826 Union Blvd Allentown, PA 18109
  12. Really wanted to stay in Stroudsburg but after using all my free rebids I added Tannersville/Bartonsville as its not that far. I had a sinking feeling that maybe I shouldn't have and I was right. The Tripadvisor reviews are horrible for The Chateau. There goes $50 down the drain, not staying at this dump. Chateau Resort & Conference Center 300 Camelback Road Tannersville, PA 18372 90 out of the 152 reviews rate it poor or terrible. Beware of bidding in Tannersvile/Bartonsville as this is a 3* the highest in this zone
  13. Detailed traveler ratings can be a little off. The ratings for my win in Allentown didn't exactly match the ratings for the Holiday Inn Exp LVI Airport, yet the top secret hotel was the HI Express. If its close and the :) rating is close, its probably the hotel unless there is a better match. I think the DTRs for the TS hotels aren't updated in real time
  14. Holiday Inn Express Suites Lehigh Valley Airport 3375 High Point Blvd Bethlehem, PA 18017 (610) 882-2255 Check-in: Sat, Dec 11, 2010 Check-out: Sun, Dec 12, 2010 Nights: 1 Room: Room 1: Top Secret Room (1 Adult), Status: Confirmed Pricing Room: Top Secret Room (1 Adult) 1 Night: Sat, Dec 11 $44.85 Sum of nightly rates: $44.85 Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees: $4.49 Total for 1 Room: $49.34 Used Travelocity link from support page
  15. 1 Room, 1 Night Holiday Inn Express Suites Lehigh Valley Airport 3375 High Point Blvd Bethlehem, PA 18017 1.610.882.2255 Check in: Sat, Nov 27, 2010 Check out: Sun, Nov 28, 2010 Room 1: Top Secret Room (1 adult) 1 Night Sat, Nov 27 USD 39.10 Sum of nightly rates USD 39.10 Room 1 - Total: USD 43.01 Total: USD 43.01
  16. It also says "and you will arrive no later than 12:30 a.m. the next day." Based on the flights from NYC to San Fran, you might be on a CO flight from Newark to San Fran departing at 830pm arriving at 1155pm (nonstop). This would only give you 5 minutes left on June 25th so it moves it to June 26th.
  17. Yeah I have stayed there as well and thought it was a nice hotel, location was good. Have fun at Six Flags.
  18. I'd say try the Ocean City Somers Point, the 3* Residence Inn is showing $149 for that Sunday night (6/6). If you try for Cape May or Wildwood you'll probably pay too much. Its about 45 minutes away down the parkway and I think you could get it on PRICELINE for between $60-80 because its a Sunday night. It looks like the Residence is the only 3* in the zone but I'm not 100%. As far as the race convention, if thats the case you probably don't want to be staying in the area anyway.
  19. Being from Jackson, I would say you'd want to try to bid the Neptune-Wall Zone in the Tinton Falls Area. In the area that is shown by the map the only hotels are 2* Days Inn (frankly it looks like a 1* to me) in Neptune 2.5* Courtyard By Marriott in Wall (2-3 years old and looks nice) 3* Residence Inn in Neptune (was built right before the Courtyard looks nice is right across the street from Walmart, Ruby Tuesdays, Arbys, McDonalds and Home Depot) All of those hotels are less than 5 minutes from the Garden State Parkway and I-195. I'd estimate your looking at 25-30 minutes from any of those hotels to Great Adventure. Other zones I would try would be 1. Cranbury-South Brunswick Zone the Zone is close to the Turnpike and I'd say again like 30 minutes to Great Adventure but I don't know the hotels around there 2. Princeton East (I would say 35-40 minutes away) 3. Princeton West (same as Princeton East) As far as price, I would say If you were lucky you would get $70-100 because its after Memorial Day on a weekend. I would say that one of the Princeton Zones would probably be cheapest because they are further from Great Adventure and away from the Jersey Shore. In addition it appears the Courtyard and the Residence in Neptune/Wall Zone are sold out. Marriott.com says "Unavailable"
  20. Even though I got this property for $39 for Friday and Saturday Night it looks like I didn't overbid for this date. Summerfields website shows this for $169 on Thursday Night vs $79 on Friday and Saturday night.
  21. My only problem is I'm doing this to commute into a conference in New York City, traffic on Friday might be bad. Oh well I got a great deal I'll just have to get up earlier.
  22. 3* Hyatt Summerfield Parsippany 1 Ridgedale Avenue North Whippany, New Jersey 07981 973-605-1001 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $39.00 Subtotal: $39.00 Taxes and Fees: $13.19 Total Charges for Original Reservation*: $52.19 Great deal especially since it comes with breakfast.
  23. Bidding for 3/20-3/21 Started at $33 w/ Parsippany-Hanover added Morristown-Florham park up to $35 counteroffer $44 REJECTED added East Hanover-Livingston up to $39 ACCEPTED 3* Hyatt Summerfield Parsippany 1 Ridgedale Avenue North Whippany, New Jersey 07981 973-605-1001 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $39.00 Subtotal: $39.00 Taxes and Fees: $13.19 Total Charges for Original Reservation*: $52.19 added another night before 3/19-3/20-$39 ACCEPTED Tried for 3/18-3/19 got Summerfield again for $41 (I overbid probably but its only $2) Great Deal $52 all-in. Even better part is I'm splitting it with a friend. AND FREE BREAKFAST
  24. I knew it was the season I just thought maybe it would be cheap due to the fact it was during the week and not on a weekend.
