  1. I'll wait til I can confirm what hotel it is, but yes I am willing to pay 200/night 11 months ahead of time. It's a huge event (like the East Coast Comiccon) in Atlanta and almost all of the best hotels are already booked. I need to watch these dates like a hawk because these hotels are highly sought after and $250 is more the standard price for this time of year.
  2. I guess I didn't think all the accessibility amenities counted, since they're on almost all of the hotels now. Accessible for the blind, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, wheelchair accessible, accessible bathroom, roll-in shower, handicapped parking
  3. I'm looking 8/28-9/3 and I see a 3.5 star hotel with free internet, and then a lot of handicapped accessible amenities. It's $209/night and it says "We are still gathering reviews for this property". My best guess is the Marriott downtown (not the Marriott Marquis). Does anyone have a better idea?
  4. It had all the amenities associated with the Hyatt, but it turned out to be the Melia (formerly the Renaissance). Bleah. no-smoking, hi speed internet, fitness, pool, business, restaurant 4 stars downtown = Melia (can't seem to edit the title of my post, but it was a 2011 booking, I just forgot about the new year :).)
  5. The Wyndham and Baymont are no longer in downtown Atlanta (they closed and sold to the local University, rumors are they're to be made into dorms). Just thought it was worthy of note since they're still listed as possible downtown hotels.
  6. The topic pretty much says it all. I didn't see any 2 stars on the Hotwire hotel list for Atlanta Downtown area so I did a little research on other sites to see which amenities matched up. The amenities listed were Retaurant, Fitness, Pool, and laundry. Most of the 2 stars in the Downtown area do not have pools, so I was pretty sure it was the Days Inn before I booked (but not positive). Please add this hotel to the list so other people can benefit from my experience :). -Sonya
  7. I was looking to an Atlanta Hotel for August 2008 and am seeing options for 2* and 2.5* hotels in downtown Atlanta, but I can't find any 2* or 2.5* hotels listed in the downtown Atlanta area on the board's list. Does anybody know what hotels they might be? 2* says fitness center, restaunraunt, laundry facilities, and pool and is 49/night 2.5* says complimentary breakfast, internet access, pool, fitness center, and laundry facilties and is 39/night
  8. I just thought I'd share and see if it helps anyone. I bid on these hotels back in March, I just didn't know about this board back then. Wish I had! :)
  9. I bid 65/night and chose downtown 4 star. I got eh Hyatt Regency. Post title pretty much says it all, I just thought I'd share.
