It's a 3 star, however it' showing $72 now. Includes free parking, internet and breakfast.

Did not use Priceline Express or Hotwire for this stay. Ended up using hotel coupon I found at the welcome centre. We ended up driving farther than Wytheville, it worked out better for us.

JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa $100/per night was accepted on the first attempt, didn't have to use rebid zones. Bid March 12-14 Muskoka Lakes, Resort Level. Probably should have tried for less, but considering this is during school break I'm very happy with my win.

Thanks. I definitely would prefer to book through Expedia and know what I am getting, but when I check my dates, it's coming up as $323 not $223. That's over my budget. I may have to go down to a 3.5*. Any particular area have nice 3.5*? Thanks for your help!

I tried the strategy and had no luck. I started a little higher and went to $205. Do you suggest I bid one night and hope to exend and extra night? Do they offer the extra night in NYC? or will I end up in two different hotels in two nights?

I have had great success with PRICELINE in the past and thought I would try it again for a New York Trip. I'd like to go to NYC Sept 3-6 for my anniversary but don't know where to start. I have never been to NYC. I would like a centrally located hotel in the 4* range for approx $150/night. Is this even realistic? What area of NYC would your recommend for a first timer. I'll be travelling with my husband and no kids. I'm worried that my dates are during labour day long weekend and will be more expensive. An alternate date we are considering is Oct 8-11, will I have better luck in my price range for these dates?
