  1. I did not win the hotel from "Name Your Own Price". I bought it the regular way from Priceline instead. Wanted 5* originally. $100 - Strip Vicinity South - rejected $105 - Strip North - rejected Kept getting rejected until $145 ($5 increment) Not sure why it's so expensive on that date. Saw other people won Aria for $116 for 4/2-4/4 stay So downgraded to 4.5* and $100 for Strip Vicinity South, still got rejected Downgraded to 4* (still aiming for Strip Vicinity South) and bid from $75, 80, 85 and 88, still got rejected. Saw that Planet Hollywood (4*) is only for $91 so just bought it directly :(
  2. Help bidding for a friend: Started bidding from $69 - Got rejected $75 - add USC zone (no 3* & higher there) - rejected $80 - add Inglewood zone (no 3* & higher there) - rejected $85 - add Lawndale zone (no 3* & higher there) - accepted!!! I think there's only one 3* hotel in downtown LA. Parking is $20 for Miyako, which is not bad for downtown area.
  3. Amenities Free Parking, Free Internet, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Golf Nearby Hope this helps!
  4. I thought I was going to get the Sheraton or Embassy Suites because those are the only ones listed but apparently Hotwire now has Radisson as 3.5* Kinda sad because they don't have any swimming pool :( 3 nights Hotwire Hot Rate Room@ $70.00/night $210.00
  5. So apparently parking at Kodak Theatre is $10 daily max + additional $10 for overnight. Holiday Inn Express next door of Hollywood Heights actually offers $20 overnight parking
  6. I got $170/- night for Outrigger Reef on the Beach - Waikiki Beach. I was bidding up to $150 & still got rejected. Accidently bid for $170 & got accepted. I was kinda happy at first but after that I checked on outrigger website & it's only $159 for AAA member T_T the room will have no view too :) I hope I can get an upgrade upon check in & this resort is better be good.
  7. Starting bidding from $60 - 4* rejected. Originally wanted Newport Beach Area but eventually added Costa Mesa/Irvine $50 - 3.5* rejected (keep adding $5) Accepted at $65 - 3.5*
  8. Started bidding from $45 - $60. Even lowered the star to 3*. Couldn't get anything... Finally did what michroch offered in this Priceline Los Angeles Airport thread and got accepted at $65 for 4* LAX
  9. Accidentally bid with such high price to start with :) 4* French Quarter & Downtown Accepted right away... Not sure if it's a good deal or not...
  10. 1) $57 4* French Quarter & Downtown *FAILED* 2) $60 3.5* & 4* French Quarter & Downtown *FAILED* 3) $81 (2/18/11 - 2/19/11) 4* French Quarter *FAILED* 4) $85 (2/18/11 - 2/19/11) 3.5* & 4* French Quarter *SUCCESS* Why is it so expensive on this weekend? :)
  11. Just got my room for $77 at Trump. Thanks for your tips!!!
  12. I saw the post from alsvider about getting the 5* Trump Hotel for $77 and am determined to get it since I've never been to any 5* hotels before. So I first bid $70 + Strip North + 5* but it got rejected. I panicked and right away place the safe bet $77 adding Strip South while keeping 5* at the same time. My offer got accepted. I wish I tried to bid <$75 but I was too impatient :) Anyway, next time u guys should try bidding between $70 - 77 and see where's the border to get the offer accepted :) Special thanks to alsvider
  13. I wanted to get 3* hotel near LAX since it's the cheapest. First I thought I could get it with $40 but it got rejected. Then I downgrade to 2.5* & add Downtown (which I know is impossible to get) + bid at $45 and got accepted. Even get upgraded to 3.5* :)
  14. After being rejected several times for $40 and $45 for 3star, I eventually raised my bid to $50 and was upgraded to 4-star hotel. But I didn't get is as cheap as what acorns68 got for a week before :)
  15. Start bidding for 3* from $50, then increase to $55 for Ottawa downtown but get rejected. Then add Hull area and increase to $60. Still got rejected. Downgrade to 2.5*and eventually got the hotel for $65 with upgrade to 3* I actually want to bid for 2 room but accidentally bid for 1 room only. Called the hotel and priceline customer service. Was told that there's nothing they can do for me other than asking me to rebid again. So I bid again with $65, Hull+Downtown, 2.5* but it was rejected. I even asked my friend to try and kept getting rejected T_T I don't know what else I can do
  16. Put $65 as my first bid and get it right away :) Should have bid lower price at the beginning
