  3. La Quinta Daytona Beach 2725 International Speedway Drive Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 (386) 255-7412 1 room(s) @ $43.00 per night x 2 night(s) $86.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $16.95 Hotel Subtotal $102.95 I have stayed there before. It is a difficult to find the first time. There were a number of small items that didn't make it a comfortable stay. I didn't rate it very highly. It was a priceline purchase. It turned out crazy but I did get a complimentary room coupon from it.
  4. You right it is in the Northwest Zone not Columbia Central. It is not far from there so it is a good location for those needing to be in the Columbia Central area.
  5. Oops! I made a mistake on the complimentary breakfast. It is not complimentary it is $7.95/ so we will have to eat out after all. Bummer. Well maybe not. It is a good hotel for some of the kids to experience their first hotel stay away from their own city. :)
  6. Wanted the Columbia Central area. Bid $52 for 3 star that was rejected. Rebid in same area for 2 Star reduced bid to $48 rejected. Selected Columbia NW for $47 and it was accepted. $47.00 Number of Rooms: 4 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $752.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $102.28 Total Charges: $854.28 I am extremely happy with this bid. If you notice my bid is for 4 rooms because this is for a youth group. The hotel serves hot breakfast, has a pool and free internet service. Those things alone will save mucho dollars.
  7. Yes, I couldn't find a contact telephone number for the Sheraton City Centre. I believe the address that I was given was that same address that why I wondered if they brought them out. The dates of my stay: 6/15-19, 2005 1 room(s) @ $48.00 per night x 4 night(s) $192.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $34.95 Hotel Subtotal $226.95 Total Price $226.95 Actually, I got a good deal all the way around on this trip. I was able to get my tickets for $198.00 off of Priceline. The cheapest fare I could find was 259.00. I bidded 155.00 with taxes it came to 198.00
  8. I got antsy and decided to go ahead and bid. Crowne Plaza Cleveland City Centre Hotel 777 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44114 (216) 771-7600 It is about 10 minutes or under 4 miles from my conference at the Intercontential Hotel & Conf Center. The conference rates were 115.00, so I think that I get a great deal. By the way, any know if they brought out the Sheraton? I couldn't find a telephone number to contact them but if not I am very happy where I am. They don't have airport pickup or a shuttle but the Intercontential did not have that service either. The conference committee suggested the bus line but I guess that I am going to have to find out about a taxi ride. Any suggestions?
  9. Any idea of what hotel? Customer Favorite! Read reviews Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center Best Value! Distinctive $48 per room per night Also, would this be near Intercontential Hotel & Coference Centre? 9801 Carnegie Avenue Cleveland, OH
  10. Thank you for the information and insight. I would perfer to bid for the 3 rooms. So, with that in mind would you suggest Copley and what other zone? I don't mind walking the couple of blocks at all. Is there reliable mass transit that I could take? Any idea how much taxi fare run? pinkhouse
  11. That was my first bid. I surprise that I received it because all the sites were showing 89.00 or more per night. This was the hotel that I wanted because it was the closest to the conference that I am attending. pinkhouse
  12. I just discovered that the conference is being held at Congregacion Leon de Juda
  13. I have not checked the website because I planned to bid for a room but I don't know the area to make certain that I get close. Also, I will be bidding for 3 rooms. Is Copley one of the areas that I could check? pinkhouse
  14. Bid $42.00 Taxes & Service $12.89 Total $54.89 Checking other hotel sites couldn't find the Holiday Inn cheaper than 89.00 a night. pinkhouse
  15. Hi, I attending a conference in Boston on 7/7-7/10. I will be flying in and will not be renting a car. It will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites Boston Crosstown Center 811 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02118 The conference rate is $115.00 but I missed the deadline date. I am not certain on Priceline if the Commons is the same area and I don't know what area to check for on hotline. pinkhouse :)
  16. I am very happy that I was able to get the Hyatt Regency on this bid because the conference I am attending will be held there. The price is a steal compared to the prices that coming earlier. Originally tried for a 4 star hotel with an offer below 50.00 and added the 3 star as I approached the over 50.00 bid price. I used up all of my rebids and then got LOCKED OUT ( duplicate submissions). Started out with a submission for 3 star at $55.00 and it wasn't accepted. They came back with a counter offer to increase the bid by $15.00. I tried to put in $5, then 10 and it would accept it. So, I bidded 16.00 and it was accepted. The very good news is that I got the exact hotel I wanted and a lot cheaper than what I was seeing on all the websites for the same date and hotel. Hotwire had a 3 star for $189 per night then a 2.5 star for 99.00 a night. Final outcome: $71.00 4nights $284.00+ $53.44=$337.44
  17. Thank you all for your assistance and offer of assistance during our Daytona Stay. We were able to get a very good internet special at the Comfort Inn Suites in Daytona for $59.00 a night for the weekend. 2 Queen Beds, Suite, No Smoking. Max Occupancy: 6 persons 1 Room Suite Partial Room Divider Sofabed-2Person Free High-Speed Internet Access Microwave Refrigerator It was a very nice room especially at that price. This reminded me to also check the websites for various specials.
  18. I also way to thank you for posting this winning bid. My family will be in the same town from 12/29-31, 2004. I saw your bid amount and submitted the same bid and I got it!! If your winning bid hadn't been posted I probably would have started around $35.00. I also checked the website for hotel and the cheapest room would have been around $59.00. Bid $28 Wed, Dec. 29 Fri, Dec. 31 1 Room 2 night @ 56.00 + 14.48= 70.48 THANKS A LOT!!
  19. Oh! Yes! The hotel is also Fairfield Inn in Valdosta
  20. I also way to thank you for posting that win. My family will be in the same town from 12/29-31, 2004. I saw your bid amount and submitted the same bid and I got it!! Bid $28 Wed, Dec. 29 Fri, Dec. 31 1 Room 2 night @ 56.00 + 14.48= 70.48 THANKS A LOT!!
  21. Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Oceanside Inn Plaza Ocean Club Daytona Beach Tropical Winds Palm Plaza Oceanfront Resort Beachcomer Daytona Beach Resort Daytona Inn Beach Resort Red Carpet Inn Daytona Beach Bermuda House Ocean Sands Beach Ocean Walk Resort Tropical Winds Oceanfront A couple of these I could get around $60-69.00. This list has been available from the hotel checker so I couldn't understand why a bid as high as 60.00 would be rejected. Bermuda House is a 2 star and we have stayed there before and would be happy there. I could get it for from this list for $59.00 dollars but I couldn't even get that to come up. Any suggestions?
  22. I guess I am now confused because earlier for the Daytona Beach area there was a 4 star selection. I then chose a three 3 star in the same zone. When the amount of 343.00 kept coming up. I added the additional zone of International Speedway for the highest in that zone which was a 3*. That was then rejected with PL coming back saying that hotels in that zone costed 177.00 a night. I was careful not to increase the bid over the 60.00 I was already bidding because I couldn't not find to support the PL price. I am more interested in the quality of the hotel. I would like to stay somewhere very nice but at a good price. Not pay the same price that I could have gotten from other websites. That's the problem that I was running into while bidding. I kept getting rejected with PL mentioning some outrageous prices that I couldn't substantiate. So, I thought that maybe there was something major happening on those days. I went back to the website today and only 3* is listed for the Daytona Beach zone and they listed 76.00 as the average price of rooms during those dates. I have to keep those dates. I am open for suggestions.
  23. Yes, I had several rejections from PL. That's why I was asking for help. I bidded up to $60.00. and at first I kept adding zones and the Priceline suggested bid kept increasing. Then I checked several of the websites and should have been able to get at least a 3* for around 60.00. But I kept getting rejected with priceline should these ridiculous amounts to increase by bid. For a 3* in Daytona Beach & International Speedway zone PL keep saying that the cost of a room would run $177.00 a night. For a 4* it would cost $343.00. When I checked the other hotel websites the cost were a lot lower for either a 4* or 3*. Actually, the 4* was running around 129.00.
  24. Hi, Somehow I am not getting my email post stating that there is a reply to my post. Okay we are traveling to Daytona Beach 11/12-11/14. I would like a 4*. There will be 4 adults and 2 kids traveling. We can easily break it down to 2 rooms. I mentioned wanting a suite because a ran across a resort (can't remember the name now) that offers a 2 bedroom suite that will sleep 6 for 199.99 a night. I didn't really want to go that high. But I couldn't get a good price on Priceline. The rooms for that date was coming back as much 343-$177.00. Yes, I do ignore their suggested bid amount. But as mentioned even when I went down to a 3* those were the type of prices coming up. So, my bid was being rejected. So, I am seeking assistance with the bid.
  25. I selected a 4* and then a 3* I did make a lowball offer but Priceline came by with a Price of 345.00 a night. Even when I go to Orbitz and SideStep there is no list for that amount. Can anyone Help? I am looking for a suite for 4 adults and 2 kids. I can break it up to 2 rooms.
