  1. Just wanted to update - I booked a 5* hotel in Toronto Downtown Centre for 6/14-6/16. I expected the Shangri La since it was the only hotel that met the description on the hotel list. I figured regardless, with 5 stars I would be ok 🙂 To my pleasant surprise it was the Ritz Carlton. Looking forward to staying there for my first time in Toronto! Only issue is it had said in the search there was a bed choice, but I was not able to select before or after booking. I've reached out to hotwire, but will also email the hotel directly. Amenities: Free internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services Accessibility Accessible: for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  2. I decided not to risk it with the unidentified 4.5* and was able to locate another that I likely identified as the Intercontinental instead. I was right! I just booked the InterContinental Chicago for $142/night from Saturday 5/25 through Monday 5/27. 4.5-star Hotel in Magnificent Mile Area - River North This Hotel features the following amenities: Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Thanks for your help!
  3. Was wondering if someone could help me ID this hotel? This specific area description was not on the hotel list so I thought I might ask for help. I am looking to go to Chicago for memorial day weekend 5/24-5/27 and would be welcome to any suggestions or advice. $150/night 4.5-star Hotel in Downtown Chicago - Millennium Park - Grant Park This Hotel features the following amenities: Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby 4.0 out of 5 on trip advisor. I used the HOTWIRE link on the board to start my search. Thanks in advance for any help!
  4. Forgot to post my reply to this - I decided I couldn't take the risk booking on Hotwire for this trip, especially since the hotel hadn't been reported. I instead booked the Harcourt Hotel through the Ireland tourist website. The place was definitely sub-par for my expectations there but for $100 or so per night it wasn't terrible, but I had to remember it is Europe and their accommodations are not up to par with U.S. amenities (in my opinion).
  5. Hi all, I will be stopping in Ireland during a European trip for the weekend of 11/18/2011 to 11/21/2011 and was looking through Hotwire for some reasonably priced hotels. I found a 4* in Dublin West listed below for $62/night. 4-star Hotel in Dublin West This Hotel features the following amenities: Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what this might be, and being this is my first stop in Dublin, if "West" area was a good area to stay in. Thanks in advance for any help!!! Amanda
  6. Just booked, and I got the Palmer House Hilton for $113/night for 7/8-7/11. Thanks for your help as always, and I booked using the sites HOTWIRE link. Thank you!
  7. I am having difficulty identifying this hotel, I have looked at the hotel list and am not seeing any matches to these amenities. I think I read that the Palmer House has recently renovated their spa, so I was thinking it could be that, but am unsure and thought I would see if anyone had any ideas. Dates : 7/8/11 - 7/11/11 4* Chicago Loop - Millennium Park - Grant Park area Hotel 1 Room 2 Adults Hotel Amenities: Fitness Center Pool Restaurant(s) Business Center High Speed Internet Spa Services $106/night Recommended in 90% of customer/Hotwire reviews 4.0/5.0 rating on TripAdvisor Thanks in advance for any help!!! :)
  8. Not sure what I did to deserve the rude sarcasm, I was simply waiting until I got back from my vacation to post (which was today). I hope that's ok with you :) . We ended up booking the Best Western through the HOTWIRE link that thereuare mentioned in his previous post for $126/night. It was a nice hotel for the price and was very clean and the complimentary breakfast was a nice benefit. Thank you thereuare and AaronJB for the help and insight as always.
  9. I updated it, I apologize for the delay, I completely forgot to post before!
  10. I'm sorry I forgot to update this. I ended up booking a 4* which ended up being the Hyatt Regency on East Wacker Drive, for $89/night through your HOTWIRE link. It was a great deal for a wonderful hotel in a convenient location, we had an excellent time!
  11. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me possibly identify this hotel? I am looking at Hotwire, for dates 08/02/10 - 08/05/10 for 1 room, 2 adults in the Boston area. I have a 3* hotel for $108/night in the Charlestown - Bunker Hill area. The amenities are: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-Speed Internet Access, and Tennis Nearby. I have searched the hotel list, and don't see this area listed. Just wondering if it may be under a different name? Also, could anyone give insight as to whether this is a nice area to stay? I have never been to Boston and am going next week to help my friend find an apartment there. She wants to live in the Cambridge area, but we are on a budget of no more than $120/night for the hotel, and I am not really finding anything close in that price range for Cambridge. I have been trying to Priceline it, but have been rejected on every bid so far, I've gone up to $110. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have always had great success with this site and the help that people have given. Thank you in advance!!!! Amanda

  13. This sounds like The Avenue Hotel, I booked it last week thru HOTWIRE. I had a friend that stayed there and was very happy with it, and the reviews look good. I will be there that same weekend the 13th-16th. Good luck!
  14. I ended up booking through the HOTWIRE link stated above, and it was the Avenue Hotel. Still seems like a good deal, it ended up being $286 something total for the weekend, and I went to Avenue's website, and booking through there would have been $450. I did not like the Boutique property, although in a good area, we were looking for something more modern and elegant, and I thought the Hotel Indigo's decor seemed cheap and and the pictures of their rooms appeared to be very small. Thanks!
  15. Still haven't booked anything yet, but just found something new on Hotwire, and couldn't find it on the hotel list. Any suggestions on what this would be? 4-star hotel in North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast This hotel features the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby No Tripadvisor details. Best Value. This is $82/night for 2 adults no children February 13th-16th. Thank you!!!!
  16. I have not booked anything yet, as I have been trying to find more of a trendy place for us to stay. My best friend and I are doing a "girls weekend" and we are looking to stay at a hotel by some popular hot spots, trendy bars, etc. We are 25 and would like to check out the nightlife scene, as my friend is possibly looking to move there. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice hotel/area where we would be close to these things? We still want a very nice hotel if possible, somewhere in the 3.5-4* range. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Amanda
  17. Hi, I am looking for a hotel room for February 13th-16th in the Chicago Mag Mile area. I have found two so far and was wondering if anyone could help me out with identifying either. Thanks in advance for your help! 4.5* Magnificent Mile - Streeterville Hotwire hot Rate $102/night Amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Trip advisor 4.0 out of 5.0 Based on 320+ Customer Reviews (Last Reviewed January 2009) 4* North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast Hotwire hot Rate $82/night Amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet No Trip advisor comments. 18. I just booked using your HOTWIRE link and got the Hyatt Regency Chicago for $109/night for June 6th-7th. Seems like a great deal, I checked their website and the rooms are $199/night through traditional booking. Thanks for your help!
  19. Thread replied, I had never followed up because I didn't end up using a hotel for that stay. Found a friend that was willing to provide their couch and saved me a lot of money. Any help for this would be appreciated.
  20. I did not end up using a hotel for this stay. I stayed with a friend while the rest of my party got a room in the hotel that the wedding party had reserved. Thanks for your help anyway!
  21. Hi all! I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on which hotel this might be: 4 Star Hotel in Magnificent Mile-Streeterville Area Dates Friday June 6th-Saturday June 7th $132 per room per night - 26% Savings (Retail $179.00, save $47.00) Amenities: Fitness Center, Business Center, Restaurant(s), High Speed Internet Access Tripadvisor Traveler Rating 3.5 out of 5 based on 180+ Reviews I looked through the forum and it looks like it fits a couple of different ones so I was just looking for opinions. I used this last year when I traveled to Chicago and got a great deal with great advice! If anyone knows which hotel this is, does anyone have experience there? I figure it would be a safe bet since it's 4 star, but sometimes you never know. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance. Amanda
  22. Yes, they suggested the Hampton Inn, which is right across the street, but it is $130/night and they will not allow rollaways since the rooms are too small and it is against fire code. I was just trying to find something a little better for the money.
  23. I believe the wedding reception is at a Greek Orthodox Church/Hall? The address is 555 N. High Street.
  24. Hi I am looking for 2 room with check in on October 27th and check out on October 28th in the Downtown Columbus-OSU Area. There are three options coming up, but I am having a hard time IDing them through the hotel list. 1. 4* Amenities: Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Business Center, Spa Services, Restaurant(s), and High Speed Internet Access for $94 per room per night. 2. 3* Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Restaurant(s), Laundry Facilities for $79 per room per night (I think this might be the Drury Convention Center???) 3. 2.5* Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High Speed Internet Access, Pool(s), Business Center for $89 per room per night. I would obviously like the 4* depending on what it is, I am going for a wedding and would like to end up relatively close to the reception hall. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. I used your site earlier this month for my trip to Chicago and now it's the only way I will travel!!! Thank you! :)
  25. Thank you very much for all of your help! I found the 4* Loop hotel for $92/night again, and booked it using your HOTWIRE link. It did turn out to be the Palmer House Hilton! You guys have been an excellent resource for me and I will definitely recommend this site to other travelers! Thanks again. :)
