  1. Need some help bidding for a San Fran hotel for the dates August 16-20, one room. Don't want to go below 4* Choices for location are in order: USE, Soma, Financial District, then USW Trying not to spend more than $110 a night. I won the Parc 55 last July for $89 and noticed that others won it for these August dates last year for $83. I have bid for all 4 zones, including free re-bids, up to $110 for the past few weeks with no success. Am I just too early? Is there a conference or event going on that I'm unaware of? Thanks for the wisdom of the board!
  2. Bid $90 in NMA and was rejected. Added Lincoln Park area and bumped up to $100 and received the Sax. Was hoping for the Westin River North or the Intercontinental, but the Sax looks like a good place. Happy with the price, for sure. Used the PRICELINE link to book. Thanks!!
  3. Used the HOTWIRE link here. Westin San Deigo 400 West Broadway Amenities: Smoke Free, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet TripAdvisor Customer rating = 4/5 Recommended by 80% of reviewers, based on 100+ reviews. VERY happy with this price over the 4th of July! Thanks!
  4. Got it on the first bid. Courtyard by Marriott East Memphis 6015 Park Ave Used the PRICELINE link. Thanks!
  5. First bid rejected at $55. Added Garden District zone and upped bid to $61. Accepted. Sheraton Hotel at 500 Canal St. Stayed here twice before and enjoyed it. Parking is $30 per night though. Otherwise, very happy. Used the PRICELINE link here. Thanks!
  6. After several unsuccessful bids on PRICELINE, I found this one on HOTWIRE. Very pleased! Parc 55 Hotel July 7-10, 2010 Fitness center restaurant/bar business center hi-speed internet 80% customer review 4/5 tripadvisor rating Used the HOTWIRE link. Thanks!!
  7. Searching for 1 room, 2 guests in Orlando for Feb 17-20. 4* comes up for LBV/DD area for $74. Amenities are: resort, fitness, pool, laundry, internet TripAdvisor rating = 4.5 Any ideas as to what this is? Thanks!
  8. That is the InterContinental Chicago. (4/5 rating on TripAdvisor based on 340+ reviews) P.S. The other 4.5* listed for $126 is the Sofitel Water Tower.
  9. This is almost certainly the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, which has apparently been upgraded to a 4.5* I saw the same hotel on a search for June, including the same amenities. The TripAdvisor rating was 4/5 with 80+ reviews. On TripAdvisor, the Loews is rated 4/5 with 86 reviews. You should feel pretty confident in this ID, unless someone comes along with better info. Good luck!
  10. I did call and make that request. They cannot guarantee it, but it doesn't hurt to try. Thanks!
  11. I decided to stay another night in Chicago (see post below) but couldn't get Priceline to match the great $81 deal at the Westin. So, I stuck with the NMA-River North area and bid $85 ... rejected. Waited 2 days and re-bid at $91 ... rejected. Added Skokie-Evanston and upped bid to $101 ... accepted. I'm encouraged by the looks of the Knickerbocker's renovation, and I like the location. Has anyone stayed there recently that can vouch for it? Thanks!
  12. I wanted to avoid the Hyatt Regency during the conference rush so I stayed in NMA-River North area with my bids. Started with $75 in NMA-River North ... rejected Added Skokie-Evanston and raised bid to $81 ... bingo! Very happy with the Westin River North reviews, location, and a great price for mid-May. Thanks to Better Bidding for making this so easy!

Nashville - Downtown/Vanderbilt 2.5 stars Complimentary Breakfast Pool Internet Fitness Business 4.0 rating on TripAdvisor I'm seeing $76 for a one-night stay on August 23.
