  1. I was a little nervous about our stay here but I have to say things were better than I expected. Checked in a little early and asked for a room away from the elevator and ice maker and the room assigned was away from both but I have to say we did hear the elevator as it stopped on our floor. Hotel was pretty quiet that night so this did not disrupt us too much. Room was fine, definitely a little dated which does not bother me and everything was clean which is way more important. Did not eat in the hotel and fronk desk lady was plesant and even printed directions from Google when I asked directions to a nearby store. For the price we paid I have no complaints about this hotel.

  2. I was looking for a night out in this general area and saw that this hotel came up for someone else on betterbidding so I decided to duplicate the same bid. There were no free re-bids for this area. Reviews look pretty good on TripAdvisor and reqular rate was $99.00 so half price is good for me.

We went with HOTWIRE as I was able to pin this hotel from the list on Betterbidding and the location was very close to where they wanted to be. I also booked another room for one night (see seperate post)

  4. I have a Hotwire reservation for my family for 7/16 & 7/17 and some friends decided to meet us there for the night of 7/16. I had tried to get the same hotel as ourselves but no luck. Have been watching Hotwire for the last few weeks and the price on 4* dropped by about $35.00 today. I was able to figure out that it was the above listed hotel when I searched for a room/car package. This hotel is right next door to the Radisson where we are staying so I'm quite happy with the deal we got.

I tried to go back in and get an additional room for the night of the 16th for someone else...it let me go through all the motions but came back and said "Sorry no more rooms available". I will check in the next few days and see if they add more inventory.

Booked through the HOTWIRE Link provided.

  6. The last leg of the trip is now complete. Tried yesterday for hotels in the Albany area but no luck up to $63.00. I tried the Rutland area yesterday hoping to repeat my last bid for $45 for a 2.5 star but no luck. Went back in after my 24 hours were up and started my bid in the above zone for $45....nothing....dropped down to 2* and bid $50 and bingo....upgraded to 2.5* at the Comfort Inn Trolley Sq.

    Taxes and fees $12.58

Bid through the priceine link at Savingsbarn.com

  7. I have 3 nights booked at the Quebec Hilton and the more I read about the city and area the more I want to see and do there so I decided to try for one more night and got the Hilton again.

    Price per night $65

    Taxes and fees $17.57

Booked through the PRICELINE link @ Savingsbarn.com

The vacation is now almost complete....thanks to all the info on Betterbidding I have managed to secure some great hotels at reasonable prices......(would not be doing this trip otherwise).

  8. I hate when the first bid is accepted but I can't complain about the price. Started my bid through the PRICELINE link at Savingsbarn.com and put in for a 2* hotel thinking the 2 star was the above hotel. Anyway my bid was upgraded to 2.5 star and hotel I got was the Comfort Inn Trolley Square, I'm happy with this and the reviews are pretty good and this includes free breakfast.

    Price per Night $45.00

    Taxes and Fees $12.03

  9. Started a 2.5* bid for the Burlington-Williston area for $45 (wishing for Courtyard) rejected. Counter offered to add an additional $13.00 so I added a free rebid and raised my bid to $50. Upgraded me to 3*

Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center

    870 Williston Rd.

    Burlington, VT 05403

Lowest available rate on Sheraton.com is $199 so it's a good savings.

Hotel looks nice and I understand it's going through some construction right now so hopefully all will be okay with this hotel.

  10. Hotwire was not showing much for these nights in Quebec so took a chance with Priceline not expecting too much. Started out with 8/15 and 8/16 and tried $65 for my first bid and as luck would have it my bid was accepted. They offered to extend my stay and tried for the day before and that was also accepted.

    8/15 & 8/16 (bid through savingsbarn.com)

    Price per night $65

    Taxes and Fee $28.32

    8/14 (add a night through e-mail)

    Price per night $65

    Tax and fees $17.50

    Hilton Quebec

    1100 Rene Levesque East

    Quebec

Anyone know of any parking bargains in the area. Will not use the car for 2 of the days we are there.

  11. Booked this for my sister through the HOTWIRE link.

For her and her hungry group the Embassy Suites is a great deal (good breakfast included and plenty of room) so when I saw this one on hotwire I went for it.

    Price per night $99.00

    Taxes/Fees $20.79

    Embassy Suites DC Convention Center

    900 10th St. N.W.

    Washington, D.C. 20001

Amenities: Comp. Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, Hi-Speed Internet

  12. After having no luck with priceline, I went ahead and booked through your new Lastminutetravel.com link and received the Marriott Downtown for 2 nights, Total price including taxes was $238.32. This is the hotel they wanted to stay at, close to where they need to be. Thanks for your help and adding the link so quickly. I was anxious to get something booked for her and now it's done.
