  1. Yes, I am looking for a room for 05/26/05/29 for 3 adults. Also wondering if I should look at booking what I am guessing to be the same hotel (same price and same amenities), as I got for previous 3 nights. We would then have to travel back and forth for a few days (will need to look at the train schedules). Just thought it might be nicer to stay near my family there.
  2. Hey all, including AaronJB As stated in a previous win post I was able to get a good deal on a room for 3 nights in Chicago, but now need to look for a room for another 3 nights in the Wheeling area. I also thought about extending my reservation in Chicago by another night, thus only needing 2 nights more in Wheeling. When looking into this the rate went up by about $75 and I know I can do better out in Wheeling for that night, so that is out. In any event my family and I will be taking the Metra train from Union Station to Wheeling (not sure which station though) and will not have a car. That being said I am looking for something that might have a free shuttle and is close to eateries and shopping. Not really familiar with this area and wondering if I should look at sites, other than Hotwire or Priceline, so I can see the exact hotel and location and be able to map it out and see what is near by. I would take anything at or above a 2.5* rating with good guests reviews. Just really don't know where to start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I booked this hotel using the HOTWIRE link on this site after having searched a number of different sites over the past few weeks including but, not limited to Priceline, Expedia, and Marriot. Below are the details for this booking. Amenities: Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Rate information: Hotwire rate/tax: $418.50 Marriot.com rate + tax: $577.00 (other per night regular rates not including taxes at the hotel website were, even more than the total we paid with tax) I am happy with the hotel and the cost. May want to book another night in Chicago for 05/27/2018 (Saturday), depending on when my niece's graduation is on Sunday. Just wondering if I will get the same hotel? Now I am off to look for a hotel near Wheeling, IL (niece is graduating from Wheeling High School).
  4. Hey all I booked this room using the HOTWIRE link at this site after trying to get a good rate on a Park/Sleep/Fly package on another site. The other site wanted lots more for a different hotel with parking (more than this hotel rate + parking at a lot near DIA). Also, I have stayed here in the past and the hotel was nice. Below are details for this booking. Amenities: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Total room rate/tax: $127.03 Hotel website rate: $134.10 + taxes

  6. Hey all, I just booked a 4-night stay at the New York New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for 04/02/2017-04/06/2017. I did this through the MGM Resorts website, so I could take advantage of a 20% off discount (20% off their already discounted room rates) for MLife members and a 1-night room comp (not to toot my own horn) I earned by playing MyVegas Slots on Facebook. I am very happy, as I will owe the hotel $341.59 (including taxes/resort fees) or $85.40 a night. After booking this hotel I did some checking just for kicks and gigles and found a hotel on Priceline Express Deals for $361.68 that could be the New York New York, but can't be shure until after I book it. In any event I am happy with the deal I got, as I really like this hotel. I especially like the location, as it is right on the strip, in addition to being just a short ride from McCarren vie the inexpesive Westcliff Expess. In closing I would tell everyone to sign up for the hotel/resort rewards programs, as the often give you a discount for booking through their website and in this case my discount was on top of an already reduced rate.
  7. Hey guys Just letting you know that I got a message from HOTWIRE about a $50 sale on 5* hotels in Las Vegas. Looks like you must stay December 8-28, 2017 and stay no more than 2 nights. While I can not go then I did a search for December 8-10 and found 5 different hotels at this rate in either the center strip fountains area or north strip Grand Canal Shops area. Not sure how long this sale will last, but in any event, I hope someone else can take advantage of this deal.
  8. Hey guys I just booked a great deal via the HOTWIRE link on this site. Both Hotwire and Priceline had a similar deal for this area, so I just flipped a coin and went with Hotwire. 9. Hey guys Just booked a room for one night in Page, AZ via the HOTWIRE link on this site. Below are the rate details and amenities. I any event I was in need of a room for a one night stop along the way and decided to look hotels in Rifle, CO and finally decided to book this hotel on Hotwire, as I good idea that I might end up with the La Quinta Inn and Suites Rifle. Below is the list of amenities and the rated details. 11. Hey guys I was able to get the Main Stay Suites (although Hotwire did give this message 'Book soon! The last person got the Comfort Suites Denver, CO") for $232.64 for 2 nights (taxes & fees included using the HOTWIRE link on the site (by the way saved me $30). Booking at the Choice Hotels website would have cost me $290.79, so I saved over $50. Below are the amenities listed on Hotwire. Free internet Free Parking Free Breakfast Business Center Kitchenette Self-Service Laundry Smoke-Free Suites I am pleased with this win, as the price is good and the location is close to downtown Denver and Coors field.
  12. Hey all After doing researching a number of sites including both Hotwire and Priceline I ended with the following deal using the PRICELINE link on this great site. 3* Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Denver Tech Center Centennial in Denver Tech Center (Centennial) bidding zone for the following rate Room rate: $90.00 Taxes/fees: $15.97 Total: $105.97 This hotel features the following amenities Free internet Free parking Non-smoking Handicap accessible The above-listed deal looks good, as the Intercontinental Hotels website shows the lowest rates, as being $121.26 + taxes. Also, one final note, many of the hotels listed in the Denver Tech Center bidding zone are listed with either the city name Centennial, Englewood or Greenwood Village. This may help to narrow down the hotel you may end up with and better idea of possible location. Looks like this something new, as I don't remember seeing in the past.
  13. While not the hotel I hoped for I think we got a good deal. Someone else did the booking using the PRICELINE link on this site and below for the details of the deal they have. Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel in Denver - Stapleton Airport West zone for $59.00 x 2 nights = $118.00 + $26.36 (taxes and fees) = $144.36 Amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  14. Hey guys Using the PRICELINE link here I did a search for a hotel in Denver, CO for 07/21/2017-07/23/2017 and below is one of the results I got. Was hoping someone could help me ID this hotel. Stapleton Airport West 3.5* hotel for $59.00 with guest rating of 8+ and the following amenities Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Was hoping for the DoubleTree Denver, as I have stayed there in the past for business, but of course, there is never of guarantee of this. Also, it seems, a though there are number amenities missing from this listing. Thanks in advance for your help Wyotraveler
  15. Hey all With the recent passing of an aunt here in town I was given the task of searching for a cheap last minute airfare for relatives in California, as they no longer have internet. In any event, by using the HOTWIRE link on this site I was able to get the following. 2 tickets @ $436.82 + $62.98 = $499.80 = $999.60 (had started searching on Sunday was finding even better fares, but of course my cousin was not ready to book then) on Delta (all flights operated by SkyWest DBA Delta Connection) for 09/21/2016-10/01/2016 A quick search @ Delta.com come up with fares over $1500 a person and United.com come with a slightly better fare for $901 a person. Even a search for cheaper airlines into DEN, the closest major airport, did not yield better results and would force my relatives to miss seeing part of the family, as I could not make it Denver to get them until later in the week after some folks had left. Did find one downside, as I could not select seat assignments @ Delta.com for the first flight as only seats in first class are available. I did, however, get them seat assignments for the rest of their flights.
  16. HI all I was able to the get Hyatt Place Denver South/Park Meadows by using the HOTWIRE link on this site. Below is what I paid for the hotel for 2 nights. 2 nights @ $92.00 = $184.00 + $45.08 for taxes/fees = $229.08 - $40 in discounts = $209.08 vs. around $245 elsewhere. Amenities: Free breakfast, Free parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Internet access. Overall I am happy with this hotel, as i like the location and its proximity to RTD light rail and Park Meadows Mall, as well as a few other retail stores I want to shop at. I was looking for a hotel in the downtown area, as well, but decided to stay in this area after not finding what I wanted at the right price. I was seeing a 3* in the downtown area, for about the same price, but suspected that it might be the Ramada Inn that friends have said is more like a 1 1/2 * at best. In closing I am hoping you are able to get enough information in order to update the zones for the Denver area, as think this one is listed on your site under "South Tech Center - Englewood," which by the way is now "South Tech Center - Centennial" and my hotel is listed on the Hotwire website, under "Lone Tree - Park Meadows."
  17. Hi all I was to get two rooms at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Rapid City for $75 per room + taxes for 7/13/09. I started my bidding out using the PRICELINE links on this site at $60 dollars yesterday for a 2 1/2 in Rapid City. Tonight I tried $65 and was told that if I were willing to add $17 on to my bid I could get a room there. Rather than doing that I decided to add on another zone (Mt. Rushmore) and bid $70 with no luck. I than added Dead/Lead and ended up the the La Qunita for $7 less than the offer Pricelline tried to give me. Also just checked the La Quinta website and it shows their lowest room rates to be $124 + taxes, so i think I did okay.
  18. Using the PRICELINE links on this site I looked at both Hotwire and Priceline to check for room options and rates in Cherry Creek for 05/13/09-05/16/09. Hotwire showed rates of $64 for a 2 1/2* hotel and $86 for a 3* hotel. After using both Hotwire and Priceline in past to book an hotel, as well being braver than in the past, I decided to try for a 3* hotel for less than what Hotwire wanted for 2 1/2* and was successful on my first bid of $45 per night. My final total for my room at the Courtyard by Marriott was $161.53 (including $26.53) in taxes. Marriott's website shows that lowest price at this hotel to be $149 per night + taxes, so I think I did okay.
  19. I am looking to book in Denver for a few days in May. When I do a search at Hotwire for my days I get a listing for a 3* hotel in Cherry Creek for $59. The listing also shows the amenities as non-smoking, fitness, swimming, restaurant, business, laundry, and wireless internet. I looked at this site, but do not see a hotel with these amenities listed here. A friend seems to think that it might be The Courtyard by Marriott. Anyone out there have any thoughts on which hotel this might be? Thanks
  20. Hi all I used Hotwire to book at room for 3 nights in Las Vegas next month. When booking it I thought that I would be the only one in the room. Now it turns out that a cousin from California may be there at the same time. Was hoping to share the room with her and slit the cost in half. Just wondering if the hotel will allow the extra person in room or not. Please reply if you know either way. Thanks in advance Wyotraveler
  21. I was able to get a compact rental car through HOTWIRE a few days ago for 09/22/08-09/26/08 with Alamo for the following price: 16.95 x 4 days = 67.80 + 39.36 taxes and fees = $107.16. It looks as though Alamo released some unrented cars at a good rate in just the past few days or Hotwire lowered its prices, as the rate for a compact just last week was $10 more. The car would have cost $125.47 if I booked it through Alamo.com, as a prepaid reservation. At the time of booking the lowest rate was with Payless for $22 (although is now $18) and would have cost just $120 with the taxes fees using my Perks Member Number. Also I tried PRICELINE starting at $14 and increasing my bid each day up to $17 with no luck. Was then told to check at Hotwire and I did so using BetterBidding's HOTWIRE link with success. Was also told that if I had waited a few days that I might have gotten a lower price with Priceline, as it seems that rates seem to go down around 30 before the date of the reservation provided there is excess inventory. Not sure if that is true.
  22. Hi all I was just able to get a room at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas (near strip-west) for $46 per night for 09/23/08-09/26/08. This is a tower room and the lesser priced courtyard rooms. With the taxes and the fees the total comes $158.46 for all 3 nights. The lowest price found this type of room at this property was $69.99 at their website with many other websites listing pricing this room at $70. The amenities for this property are as follows : casino, airport shuttle, fitness center, pool, restaurant(s), business center, and internet. I had some problem with PRICELINE that will not go in to at this time, so I was unable to use them to bid for a hotel in Las Vegas.
