  1. Thank you for the great suggestion. I ended up using the link you provided and booked Treasure Island for $209 per night. That works well b/c we were planning to check out the Cirque du Soleil show there too. Thanks for the tip! :)
  2. I'll be in Vegas Nov 2-5... Could you let me know what link you booked the MGM on? Sounds like a decent deal.
  3. Nov 2/07 - Nov 5/07: 4 Star Central Strip - $204 per night Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services Trip Advisor 3.5/5 1100+ reviews 4 Star South Strip - $229 per night Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Golf Nearby Spa Services Trip Advisor 4/5 620+ reviews As noted I believe these to be Planet Hollywood and NYNY respectively. Thoughts?
  4. Thanks for the quick reply. I feel more comfortable going through HOTWIRE since I'd have a better chance of ID'ing the hotel I'd be booking. I just did a search for my dates again, and I get a 4-star that seems to match Planet Hollywood. They showed 1100+ customer reviews at 3.5/5 stars, which matches their current tripadvisor ratings/numbers. We're not set on the Paris, just want a 4-star hotel, Centrally located, and willing to pay around 200 - 250, as that seems to be the going rate. I also noticed that the South Strip hotels seem to be pretty good too. The 4-star hotel on South Strip that I suspect I am getting, is NYNY so I am trying to decide which is better. Any thoughts on preference? Both fall within my price range.
  5. Hello, I was hoping one of you experts could help me with this. I am going to Vegas Nov 2-5th and am hoping for the Paris. However, when going to the official site, it tells me that the hotel is full on the first night. Does this mean my chances of getting the hotel on Hotwire are basically nil? Or do hotels "reserve" a handful of rooms for sites like Hotwire and Priceline? Thanks, Karen
  6. Sorry... Yes there was a high speed internet icon, and also I completely forgot to use the HOTWIRE link from this site... I will be sure to do so next time!
  7. Just booked a 3 day stay for some friends to join us on our vacation, so I had to keep trying for the Sheraton. As per my last booking, it noted: Customer favourite Best value Gym/Restaurant/Pool/Business Centre/Spa Trip Advisor 260+ reviews, last reviewed July 2007 11.8 miles to YYZ For a long time, I kept getting the Hilton, or what I thought to be the Hilton, so I held out till today, when it changed!
  8. Hi PLandsdown, glad you got the Sheraton... I was the one who booked in August and wrote the note about the Trip Advisor ratings... I am trying to book another room for the same time, same hotel, for friends, and I noticed that the Toronto West hotel that they show doesn't show the trip advisor ratings! I was just curious as toi whether yours showed a "spa" icon... Thanks!
  9. Hi Everyone, I was checking out the boards to do some research on hotwire hotels for TO; first-time poster. I've just booked the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, which is precisely the hotel we wanted. It was described as: 4-star hotel in Downtown Toronto West Best Value Customer Favourite Fitness Centre Restaurant Hi-Speed Internet Pool Business Centre Spa Customer Reviews 4/5 240+ customer reviews last reviewed May 2007 11.8miles to YYZ (this is the geographical distance, not the travelling distance) A few days ago, the price was seventy-something but I just decided to book at $85. It's now at $89 For some reason, the Retail price is also drastically lower than it was when I looked at it last week - Anyone know why there's such a fluctuation??
