Used BB link already in January. Starting our New England trip from Newark, our first next stop. Happy, includes breakfast.

Used BB PRICELINE link of course. As already reported (thanks :) , and thanks to BETTER BIDDING, I knew exactly what would be the result. Unfortunately no other chance :( . But still less than booking directly or with other dealers, so nothing to complain. Started with $75, then $79, only $80 worked.

Used BB link, "got this into my bag". 142 and 145 unsuccessful, then 149 - won. Very happy with this deal, wouldn't get better at that time of the year, if I tried later, so why not now. And of course we'll taste Adrian's pizza again :) Thanks.

Used the BB link. Started a low ball and added 10 up to $149 for all common central parts like CPS, MTE, MTW, TS, ESB, Madison, HK. And for those who wonder why that early: Just take it with a smile ... got the flight some minutes ago and couldn't wait. Will report more bids on NYC and New England States later this year.

As a "local" I'll try to help with some information. The airport of Hamburg is a so named "City Airport". Meens that it is not outside of Hamburg as many other airports are - because of the noise not very funny for citizens as I am. However as Romelle already mentioned, from the Airport with the Underground you'll be directly in the middle of the city in less than 30 minutes. On the other hand, if you tried a 5* you'll be on the safe side because none of them is outside, ALL (even if not listed) are in downtown of Hamburg. So again, you might try HOTWIRE, or perhaps for the same amount a 5* on PRICELINE. Good luck.

Instead of using the extension option for my reported $59-2day-win in same hotel on Sept. 25./26. I decided to bid again, starting with 49 and 52. It worked - same hotel for 55. Okay okay peanuts, but ... Of course I used BB PRICELINE link.

Tried 5* before up to $85, then got this one on first try. Could have done even better ...

We enjoyed Thereuare's recommendation as well and stayed there. However a little tricky to find the location. If you like hand-made pizza it's a must to visit Adrienne's. Absolutely delicious, and more than you can eat for two. Enjoy.

Beachcomber, "no risk no fun" :) and I also need to point out same as Thereuare: You may get any of 4* hotels - if there are in your area. My plan was: Looked into BB listing for Priceline hotels in South Carolina - Charleston - Mount Pleasant/Isle of Palms. There I found as currently only 4* the Wild Dunes Resort. So I bid on that area for only 4*, using rebids with lot's of rebid zones. And successful, got it - as reported. Hope it helps. But as mentioned, no risk ... etc.

Thanks Thereuare. Please would you kindly change the amount into $62 (that would be shown in USD as I tried just now). Just for the "calendar of wins" and to avoid confusions of other bord members. Other "tax+fee" amounts are not of much interest (I don't know that amounts in USD ;) ) so please delete them from my report. Thanks.

Currency was wrong. Could never imagine that if I booked via BB HOTWIRE link and then tranferred to Hotwire the currency could be others than USD. However the amounts are in EUR and I didn't notice ! Considering todays currency rate it should be multiplied by 1.3 to get USD. Would have never taken it, but now I need to do. Sh....

After my unlucky experience with wrong December date instead of this March I needed to bid again and just won this, using my bonus cash of $10 per day. $59 and $65 and $69 didn't work before. Winner was $75 bid (+ bonus $10), subtotal $225 + taxes $30.99 + fees $21.45. Total charged $277.44 for 3 days. Happy and exactly what I expected as it's currently the only 4*. Used BB PRICELINE link.

Thank you Thereuare. Looks very understandable to me, and "my" type looks like you decribed type 2. However, I signed into Priceline, went to My Profile, then My Rewards. Believe it or not: There are other Bonus Cash but not that new one with expiring date 12/31/2012. So is it another type 3 ? I think so.

Thereuare, please could you more explaine point 1. - How can I "deposit" it into my rewards ? If I clicked on the link they sent to me I get automaticly on the screen where I should fill the destination and dates for bidding, using the bonus cash. Hey, you got credited the wrong bid - and now you'll get it once more for the correct one ;) but I'll do my very best to make it work.

I need to report some unpleasant continuation on this matter. Perhaps someone else will "learn" as I did ... it cost me more than $250 ! While the stay was planned in March 2012, suddenly I got a request "Please tell us about your recent stay in Charleston". Oh, oh ... Yes, I realized that I got the "Name-your-own-price" win for 18th. to 21st. of DECEMBER (!) instead of March. Unfortunately the days Sunday to Wednesday were exactly the same as in March so that I did'nt notice before. And now we may understand the fact that 3.5* didn't work before (was in March) and some minuts later for less money it worked. Now for December !!! Contacted Priceline. But their customer service only offered a bonus cash of $50 with separate mail while I only need to book 3 days in Charleston again, so only can use $30 of it. Very disappointing for me, however explained by Priceline and understandable. However, cash bonus is offered as personally reward nearly all the time, more or less. So please be careful with dates. Was not easy for me with more then 10 legs during my March trip and with more then hundred tries over all ... and shit may happen. By the way dear Mods, I opened Priceline via the BB link, then copied the URL into the browser - but the bonus cash was not valid then. If I opened it directly from my mail system it worked. Please could you explain how to do with BB before I start to try Charleston again ?

Using BB PRICELINE link, I got all planned - today got the last deal of our next US trip "in the bag". Tried 4* first up to $94, then 3,5* up to $84. Nothing. Then 3*, starting with $69. Got counter offer to be successful immediately for $80. Learned from Better Bidding not to accept but to bid some lower. So using one of the rebid zones I bid $72 - bingo ! Was upgraded (!) although it didn't work with 3.5* some minutes ago. Very happy with this outcome, a fairly good deal I think. Thanks Better Bidding I saved lots of money for the whole trip. Can't imagine how to travel without it ! Thank you for all guyes.

Used BB PRICELINE link. Not successful with 4* - however got this one.

Tried for several weeks. While without success all the time with less amounts (up to $75 even for 3*) - now got it on first try. Perhaps too unpatient but not that bad for the stay when starting our trip.

Used BB PRICELINE link. Same hotel but other date as already reported. Tried $55, didn't work. So took it for the same rate.

Used BB HOTWIRE link. Tried Priceline before up to $52 with no success. So took it from here - and very happy with this deal. By the way, according to their website they serve "Full Breakfast" not mentioned as Hotwire amenities. Their amenities are: Pool(s), Business Center.

Used the BB PRICELINE link. First tried 4* and 3,5* up to $95 with no success. Started 3* with $65 and got it on first try. Could have done better as I realized when looking at other wins and on their website. Unfortunately also not good rated on TA, mainly because NOT "Downtown". So not that good feeling with my "win".

Used BB PRICELINE link. No rebid zones available, however got a fairly good deal that early.
