Got this on the second bid. First bid of $38 came with a counter offer of $46. I split that in half and came up with the winning bid. Cheapest rate on their website was $98/night. I know this hotel has not gotten the greatest reviews, but we're not that fussy and I'm sure it will be fine. Fridge in the room and free breakfast are plusses. Are you saying that the hotel does not change sheets, pillowcases, etc. after each customer has left? Or just that they don't change the bedspread? (Which is why the bedspread is the first thing I peel off the bed, and stays off.) Is this a common practice? I don't expect them to change sheets for each day I am there, but I DO expect that no one else has slept on the sheets when I arrive.

Traveladvisor reviews have not been that great recently, but we've always liked this hotel, and it's very convenient for our purpose. Thanks! That's the hotel we're trying to avoid! BTW, the East Hartford Sheraton has changed hands and is no longer a Sheraton. Its now called the Hartford Plaza Hotel, and recent tripadvisor reviews have been less than stellar.

We travel to this same area every year over the Labor Day weekend, and have stayed at this hotel several times, and like it. I have been bidding on Priceline for a hotel for two months! We go to this area every year over the July 4th weekend. I checked previous Priceline wins.... last year we got a 2* for $60, and the previous two years we were successful with $65. When I checked on Hotwire for our dates, I got a message saying nothing was available. I finally got the 2.5* Fairfield Inn & Suites in New Bedford... they upgraded my star level from 2*. It gets good reviews, and the location is ideal, so I'm happy! Thanks, Yelllowdog. I decided not to take a chance with the opaque choices, and booked the Hampton Inn at JFK. It gets very good reviews, offers free breakfast and airport shuttle. I did use the BB link to make the reservation.

Please help me ID a hotel near JFK: Date: 4/26-4/27/11 2* $82 Amenities: Shuttle, Free Breakfast, Business Center and Internet Access. The most important amenity for me is the Shuttle to JFK, as I have an early morning flight on 4/27. I often stay at 2* hotels, but am a little concerned about a 2* in the NYC area. This will be perfect for us, because we really do not need to be right at the airport but in the vicinity, and this hotel is right near I-91. Four Points Sheraton Hotel, Allentown, PA We stayed at this hotel via a Priceline bid of $42 from 12/29/09-01/01/10. The room was one of their 'standard' rooms and was an average size. It had a king sized bed, an Armoire which contained a flat screen TV as well as several drawers, a table/desk, an easy chair set into a small alcove. The bathroom was also average sized. Everything was spotless. Our room faced a courtyard off the indoor swimming pool, and was very quiet and after the snowfall, a very picturesque view. There is free wi-fi and wired internet service in the room. The wireless signal was strong. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is directly across the street from Lehigh Valley Int'l Airport, but we heard no airport noise. The hotel has a restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner, but we did not eat there. There is an extremely well-equipped fitness room, and a large indoor pool. When we returned to our hotel around 11PM on New Year's Eve the place was hoppin' with several private parties, but by the time we got down to our room, all was quiet. We would gladly stay at this hotel again.
