I just noticed today that Hotwire has combined North Michigan Ave-Water Tower Place and Gold Coast into one zone. I suppose the lack of hotels in the Gold Coast lead them to combine the two zones.

Got it on the first bid of $41/night--which is a pretty good deal for this hotel. We had attempted as high as $50 for 4* only hotels in the ORD area, but didn't get anything. So went ahead and tried a new bid with 3* (and above) and got one accepted immediately. It seems like most people are pretty satisfied with stays at this hotel. We're having our wedding in Chicago this weekend, so I will probably be posting a few more hotel winnings via priceline and hotwire over the next few weeks on hotels near O'Hare as well as downtown.

I just purchased a 3.5* Hotel with "Restaurant/FitnessRoom/BusinessCenter" amenities for Memorial Day wknd. It turns out to be the Hyatt on Printers Row. I don't believe this hotel is in the list of IL hotels won so far through hotwire, so I'd thought I'd share the info. I initially was almost certain that this would be the Allegro Hotel in the theater district, given the location, rating, and amenities all match what was previously attributed to the Allegro, but I guess we now have another one in the Chicago loop.
