  1. Bid $60 for a 3.5* in Millenium Park zone. Was accepted right away with a complimentary upgrade to a 4*. :D $60.00 bid $17.06 taxes & fees
  2. No BMeeks, this is a quick overnite stop on the drive up north from Florida. No Warrier Dash for me! :) I am not savvy on Priceline like thereuare, but I had a feeling as I kept on being rejected immediately each time I bid was that there was no inventory to offer in Manchester at any price! So, I gave up and bid on the next major town north of Manchester. The Crestwood Suites look to be a nice win for us. Has a small kitchen in the room. Good luck!
  3. Thank YOU. I love Betterbidding! You have a terrific, informative, user-friendly, and instructionally helpful website. I recommend Betterbidding to everyone who plays the bidding game. I love how much money I've saved with research from your site.
  4. Murfreesboro Sept 17 - 18 My preferred location of Manchester, TN was turned down after several $30 - $35 - 2* bids. Next I bid $35 for a 2.5* in Murfreesboro and was rejected. My accepted bid was $30 for a 2* in Murfreesboro. Crestwood Suites - Murfreesboro 1345 Old Fort Pkwy. Murfreesboro, TN 37129
  5. Sheraton Boston Hotel 10/26 - 10/29 --- 3.5* --- $96 per nite. Knowing others have snatched this Sheraton win for $95, I got this on the first try, checking the Copley Square - Theatre District's area only. Sheraton's website's rate is $288 per nite. Copley Square - Theatre District 39 Dalton Street Boston, Massachusetts 02199
  6. Thank you for the helpful information for those of us who are not familiar with the Boston area, higgyia11. Do you know if there are any 3* hotels in the Waterfront area?
  7. 4* Boston (Waterfront-Convention Center) Westin $120 for a pre-cruise stay. :)
  8. Louisville East..... 2 * ESA Dutchman 11/22 - 11/23 $24 I tried a $21 bid yesterday with a Priceline response to up my bid another $6. I waited 24 hours and rebid at $24 and was successful. :) $24 $10.66 taxes & fees $34.66 total
  9. I stayed her again in Nov. 2006 and I was pretty disappointed. The carpet was stained (they were in the process of recarpeting, I think) and everything had pretty much deteriorated, at least in the 2 rooms that my Aunt and I stayed in. It had a run-down feel to the place. I am leery about bidding for a 2* again in this zone because I do not want to *win* this hotel again.
  10. Hi Biddingforhotel. I actually got this for my sister who was in town. I live somewhat close to this hotel. It is a nice hotel, nothing spectacular, but nice. There are some nice views from the higher floors. The room is squareish if I remember correctly, and not generous in size. There is a nice lobby with a restaurant within. I personally was not impressed with the breakfast buffet, which I thought was overpriced for what the selection was. I didn't see anything else that this hotel has to offer except the room itself and lobby/restaurant. There is easy access to the hotel from the tollway. That being said..... my sister loves this Hyatt and she is always happy to win it!
  11. thanks for the advice biddingforhotel. I appreciate it. Hi backatcha, thereuare! :) I'll keep popping in with wins when I get them.
  12. $45 + $12.77 in taxes and fees. A last minute bid.... that went thru easily without any rebids. :)
  13. Homestead Studio Suites $25 per nite. $50.00 + $14.96 Taxes and Fees $64.96 This is a real nice *2 hotel for a great price! :)
  14. Candlewood Suites Will Rogers Airport Area (OKC) 4400 River Park Drive Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73108 405 680-8770 I tried $35 for a 2 1/2* and was rejected. Then tried $34 for a 2* and was accepted. Both bids were for Airport Zone only. Used Savings Barn link. :) Your Offer Price: $34.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $68.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $17.34 Total Charges*: $85.34
  15. Thanks, Thereuare. :) It was a nice stay.
  16. My Uncle won this hotel a few months back and is happy he got it again this time. $35 bid $11.45 taxes and fees $46.45 total.
  17. This is another Priceline Quad Cities option. The Rock Island, Four Points by Sheraton is downtown and just a few blocks (easy walk) to Jumer's Casino and the Mississippi River. Davenport is just across the bridge. There are coffee houses and sport bars right across the street and within blocks of the hotel. There is a Bennigan's Restaurant next to the hotel. 4 Points Sheraton, Rock Island Map of Quad Cities #19 on ths map At the front desk I requested a high floor for a river view and I basically got the impression that the Priceline guests get only 4th floor rooms. Upon check-in we recieved a free parking permit and a 20% off coupon for Bennigan's Restaurant. Bennigans also serves breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. There also is a small shop in the lobby that sells Seattles Best assorted coffee creations as well as donuts. The room was a nice 2* with a very comfortable king sized bed and a nice corner desk work area with free internet. The room was smallish, but we didn't feel cramped. The bathroom came with Panteen hair products as well as a lotion. A coffee maker was also in the room. A USA Today newspaper was slipped under the door the next morning. There is a large indoor pool. It's a nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again.
  18. 2* Rock Island Four Points Sheraton 7/5 - 7/6 $34 Rock Island is next to the town of Moline on the Mighty Mississippi. I specifically wanted, and hoped to get this hotel because of it's location. If my bid was not accepted I would have added Moline as a free bid. As it turned out, it was not necessary. This Four Points Sheraton was listed at $75 with Priceline if I preferred not to bid and purchased it outright. $34 bid $11.47 taxes and fees $45.47 total
  19. I helped my Uncle on this, his first bid thru Priceline. Our first try was $35 for a 2 1/2* and as I predicted, was rejected. Then we dropped it to 2*. I was hoping they'd get the Fairfield Inn or Ho Jo, but we get what we get. :) $35 bid x 4.... with $25.75 in taxes and fees. Branson Econo Lodge 230 S Wildwood Dr, Branson, MO 65616
  20. Got this on the first try. :) Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.44 Total Charges: $46.44 Lisle/Naperville Hyatt website
  21. nd88, I just found that out. (and here I thought Priceline considered me special :) ) The last time I bid Priceline was back in November. I see there are changes as well on the option of bidding for the same hotel before or after your stay. Great news on that as well as the reduced 24 hour lockout!
  22. Two days ago I bid $25 for a 2* DWV Zone only, and it was rejected. Not willing to change anything but the price, I prepared to wait out my 72 hours. Today I get an email from Priceline enticing me to try the bid again. I don't know if this is a new policy, but it was nice being able to rebid after only 2 days. This time I bid $30 and was accepted. Your Offer Price: $30.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $30.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $10.86 Total Charges: $40.86 7769 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, Florida, 34747-1727, US Welcome to Best Western Lakeside!
  23. I just spoke with my sister and she said they did not charge for the crib, but she was charged $10 for the rollaway that she needed. (She needed both because she was given a queen bed for a family of 5.) The Holiday Inn representative I spoke to said the individual hotels can charge for cribs if the want.
  24. My sister asked me to get her a Priceline hotel in southern Georgia while en route to Florida. With little time for research because she needed the room in a few hours, I had to make sure I didn't underbid. I tried bidding $35 for a 2*. (The only star rating options for Valdosta were 1* and 2*.) My bid was accepted the first time. Holiday Inn Valdosta $35 bid $11.59 taxes and service fees $46.59 Total My sister needed a crib for her toddler and was charged an additional $10. :)
  25. This is a beautiful newer hotel located near many restaurants. For a 2* you can't get any better than this! The lobby and front desk are impressive. There is a nice breakfast area that serves complimentary rolls and fruit, as well as beverages on weekdays only. The room is new, clean, and very convenient with a kitchen included. Our room overlooked the outdoor pool and BBQ patio area. This was an absolute steal with our Priceline bid. A definate winner!!!!!!! Virtual Tour of Homestead Suites
