Priceline Express had a 2.5 hotel in Navarre for $92 that I was interested in. Betterbidding's hotel list showed that I would either get the Day's Inn or Bestwestern Waterfront. This morning Priceline sent me an invitation only, 48 hr. extra discount for a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal so that pushed me over and I decided to go for it. I was so scared I would get the Days Inn. Another reason I went for it is because PL's amenities listed a fitness center and I knew the Days Inn didn't have one. So I decided to take my chances and thankfully, I scored the Hampton Inn & Suites instead (which you can now add to the hotel list for Navarre). Here are the amenities:
Free Internet
Free Parking
Free Breakfast
Bed Choice
Business Center
Fitness Center
Non Smoking
Swimming Pool
I would add that I did not get a bed choice. After they revealed what hotel I got, the itinerary details stated that my room would be assigned upon check-in. Not a deal breaker but just wanted to point that out.
The total with the coupon ended up being $401.16.
Woohoo, score! I will be staying at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Alexandria by Old Town from May 20 - 27. I started off bidding at $52 and kept going up in increments of $2 until I got to $60. I chose Alexandria East first, then Crystal City, then Arlington, then the White House, then Georgetown/Foggy Bottom. That was actually going to be my last bid for the night and I got it on my last bid. I accessed PRICELINE through this site and got the EXACT hotel I wanted thanks to Better Bidding. Cannot believe my luck! This is for a full week, too.
Here are the top amenities:
Free High Speed Internet
Indoor Pool
Fitness Center
Business Center
Non-smoking Rooms
Free parking
Complimentary buffet breakfast
Free Shuttle
Sorry for the delay. I ended up not going the Hotwire or Priceline route and booked a condo thru the owner. Thank you again for your help!

Okay, not too shabby. I decided to go for the $36 PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a 2-star in the Galleria area and got the Extended Stay America - Atlanta - Marietta - Interstate N. Pkwy. The thing I liked about it is they gave you a bed choice and I chose the 2 Double Beds - Nonsmoking Deluxe Studio. This Studio Features A Fully Equipped Kitchen, Work Desk, Dining Area, A/C, Hairdryer, Iron, Radio, Refrigerator, Free Toiletries, Flat-Screen TV, Sofa, Kitchenware, Tea/Coffee Maker, Shower, Bath, Telephone, Microwave, Dishwasher, Bathroom, Heating, Toaster, Alarm Clock, Stovetop.
They also have complimentary breakfast, outdoor pool, free parking and free wifi.
I also think I got a pretty good deal since I was able to snag this for the Fourth of July weekend.
Now you can add this property to your Galleria PRICELINE EXPRESS list. ;)
Woohoo! You guessed right! I got the 2-star Vacation Lodge for $46/night for July 4 through July 8 (four nights) in Pigeon Forge South/Dollywood area hotel.

Free parking
Heated outdoor pool
Convenient location

All of our Pigeon Forge guest rooms feature:

I wouldn't mind that one. I'll let you know for sure this coming Friday. Crossing my fingers it's a good one! :)
Star rating is a 2.
City is Pigeon Forge, TN.
Zone is Pigeon Forge South-Dollywood area.
Room rate per night is $46.
Dates of stay are 7/4 to 7/8/2013.
Full amenities are Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pool(s) and High Speed Internet Access.
Hotwire lists a supersaver 2-star hotel for $48 (first one on their list) on their website yet I don't see it listed here. The lowest star rating I see here for the Pigeon Forge/Dollywood zone is a 2.5 star. Do you know what hotel this is? Here's the listing:

Thanks.
lol, I'm still in shock but I bid $32.00 on a 3* in Perimeter and not only did they accept my first bid, they upgraded me to a 3.5* hotel! I'm staying at the Hilton Suites Atlanta for only $32.00! Here it is:
Your Price Was Accepted
Congratulations, we
Wow Keoni, thanks! That was some great info. I appreciate you taking the time to share that. I will be referring to it during my stay. Have a great day! :)
Thanks! That was a big help!
Is there any certain day of the week that's better to bid on in order to get a better or cheaper rate?
Started bid at $38.00 - no go
Then bid $41 - still no go
Then bid $43 - nada
Bid $45.00 and got the 2* La Quinta Chattanooga on Shallowford.
Bid today on 3/8/07 and will be staying there 6/1/07 through 6/4/07.
Thanks. I'll let you know how it turns out when I find out, lol. I will be bidding on something through priceline, though. Thanks again for all your help.
lol, I thought about that but I'm SCARED! It seems like Lookout Mountain would be more ideal than the airport area since it has Rock City and the Incline. And the airport area is farther away from all the attractions, right?
I am planning on seeing Rock City, the Incline, the Aquarium and the Chattanooga Ducks and possibly the riverboat cruise. I'm seriously thinking about the La Quinta in the airport area cuz I saw another post here where the guy got it for $27 and the hotel seemed adequate enough for the price and it had a nice pool and continental breakfast (I'm bringing two kids). Let me ask you this: If you had the choice to stay at either the airport area or the foot of Lookout Mountain, which would you choose?
Wow, I see 1*, 2*, 2.5*, and 3* on my current Hotwire search.
I'm not interested in Hotwire any longer, though. I'm very interested in Priceline. I'm still holding out hope that someone is going to come in from out of nowhere and tell me what Lookout Mountain hotel you get with Priceline.
lol, think that'll ever happen?
lol, that's okay; I'll take your word for it. I didn't see a 2.5*. Is that priceline your looking at?
Huh. That's weird. It's still showing up when I access it.
And I just wanted to thank you for helping me so far. I think I'm leaning toward Priceline anyway. I'm very surprised no one has reported what hotel Priceline gives you in Lookout Mountain. lol, they're prolly scared to take the risk. I want to chance it so bad but I'm scared they're going to give me the Days Inn/Tiftonia. Do they have a LaQuinta at Lookout Mountain? Since that's the one they give you at the airport.
3* Chattanooga (Downtown Chattanooga) Chattanooga Choo Choo
in Hotwire Hotels - Tennessee
Posted
I went to the Bidding Helper under Hotwire Research and was looking for a 2.5 star Downtown Chattanooga hotel and saw one for $63. The HotelReveal Guess said that it was the Chattanooga Choo Choo, which was great since that's where I was hoping to stay. However, farther down the list, they had a 3-star Downtown Chattanooga hotel for $91 and the Guess said it was ALSO the Chattanooga Choo Choo. So which is it?
So since I've used this site before usually with reliable results, I bought the 2.5 star offer for $63 from 3/11 to 3/13. Well, guess what? I did not get the Chattanooga Choo Choo. I got the Kinley Chattanooga, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel. I know it's a risk we take being a mystery hotel but I was pretty bummed that I didn't get the Choo Choo. To add insult to injury, there was also a $10 Hotwire coupon that wasn't listed above the Hotel Search on the Bidding Helper page that I could have used had I known.
