  1. Please provide assistance with bidding. Checkin: 08/08/2007 Checkout: 08/09/2007 3* in SEATAC airport area only. Max is $65. Thanks.
  2. Bid successfully! Got the Hilton Garden Inn (Tigard) for $39. Tried bidding for the 3* and went up to $43 but no go. Then tried 2.5* at $39 and was accepted. Based on the review, seems to be a pretty good hotel. And based on Hilton's website, lowest rate is $100, so this is a big savings! Thanks thereuare! Went to the savingsbarn link first to access PL website. :)
  3. Hi, Can you please help me as to what I should be my bidding strategy? Checkin: 06/29/2007 Checkout: 07/01/2007 (2 days) Preferably in the Portland (Tigard) area. 2.5* - 3* My max is $45. Thank you very much.
  4. We stayed at the Le Centre Sheraton in Montreal for 3 nights. Won this hotel at a PL bid (4*). Room itself is ordinary. Bed is comfy and the washroom clean. The facilities are ok. They have a pool but not as big as the Marriott Ottawa, so if a group of people is already in the pool, it does not feel like you want to go into the pool. They have a fitness room as well but it's small too. The location is good. Hotel is 2-3 blocks to St. Catherine. Metro is also close by (1 - 1.5 block). I wouldn't mind to get this property again.
  5. Got the Ottawa Marriott Downtown in a PL bid. This is 3* in PL. I was really happy with the hotel. The room is a little bit small compared to other hotel, but it was ok. The bed was really comfortable and the blanket is nice and fluffy. The bathroom looks new. Overall, the room is very clean and well-kept. I was impressed with the facilities offered at this hotel - mini golf, huge pool, jacuzzi, large fitness room, air hockey ($2), PS2 video games, kids zone. Let's just say that if there was nothing to do outside, I wouldn't get bored in this hotel. :) Location-wise, it's good. It's 5 minute walk to Bank of Canada currency museum, and maybe 10 - 15 minute walk to Parliament. It's a little bit far to walk to Byward Market, but it's still doable. Anyways, you are seeing the sights while you are walking so you don't really notice the distance.
  6. thereur, you are right on target!!! For Hotwire, I got the Marriott Toronto Bloor Yorkville! I know I could've gotten this cheaper if I bid on Priceline's 3 star hotel, but like I said, I don't want to risk getting the Bond Place. $73 is still a good deal so thank you, thank you and thank you! :) Here were the amenities listed just to make it official: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Used the HOTWIRE link that you have provided.
  7. Yes, both are 4* hotels. I thought the Marriott Toronto Bloor is 3*? Anyway, if this is the hotel I would be happy. Will try Priceline one more time tonight, and if not successful, will go ahead and get this Hotwire hotel. I know Priceline has this hotel rated at 3* but I don't want to risk getting the Bond Place. Thanks for the warning about the 2 rooms thing. Didn't know about this. Will use the link and will let you know how it works. :)

  9. Hi, I want to book a 4* hotel in the Toronto Downtown area from May 3 to May 6 (3 nights). I started bidding and went as high as $70 but not successful. I checked Hotwire and there is a $73 4* hotel (most likely Cambridge). Also, when I run Hotwire for only May 3 - May 4, a $69 hotel appeared. I guess my question is, would it be worthwhile to separate my booking? Seems like May 3 (Thurs) - May 4 (Fri) have lower rates compared to May 4 to May 6 (weekend). When I got a successful booking through Priceline, it gave me an option for Extended Stay. Assuming I was able to get a good rate for the May 3 - May 4 date, what is the likelihood of it accepting the Extended Stay? I think my max bid should only go as high as $73, given that I'll be able to get the 4* hotwire for $73. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Lowest price in Marriott website was 239 CAD so was surprised that it accepted my bid of 53. Am really really happy with this. :)
  11. LOL. Yes, you're right. Thanks MJRBIM. Priceline accepted my bid for Ottawa 3* May 1 - May 3 - Marriott for $53!Really happy with this. Used the SavingsBarn PRICELINE link. :)

  13. Hi, I noticed that in your priceline hotel list for Toronto, there is a 4* for the airport. However, when I go to Priceline's name that price, and select the airport area, the 4* does not appear there. Also, in Priceline, the Vaughan are shows that 4* is available. But the list does not show any 4* hotel. Just want to clarify this before I start bidding. Thanks!
