  1. Las Vegas, NV • 2/3/14 - 2/4/14 • 1 room • 1 adult 3 stars Near the Strip - West area 95% recommended (98 reviews) Trip Advisor 4 out of 5 This hotel charges a resort fee of about $6.00 per room per night $32/night (75% off, $128 crossed out) Free parking Free internet Casino Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Spa Services Everything seems to fit the Orleans, except their resort fee is $9.99 not $6.00 Any ideas would be appreciated?
  2. Priceline express deal. Used coupon so net was $53 less about $3 = $50. Free Internet, Breakfast and Parking.
  3. This reported win is very difficult to believe. I have been trying to make the same exact purchase for several weeks. Hours after the $180 win was posted, I bid up to $215 on the same days without success. Need more evidence? This hotel has been (and still is) available as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $281. Bidding might normally save you 10% or $30, not $100/night.
  4. Started bidding at $40, upping it $1 each time using free rebid zones. Was also available as PRICELINE EXPRESS deal ($49) and HOTWIRE ($50)
  5. 89% thumbs up Ranked #4 of 441 hotels in Houston 858 Reviews Certificate of Excellence 2013 4.5 / 5.0 TripAdvisor rating
  6. Was offered as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $104. Better option was to bid. Started at $77, got it at $90. And used the coupon code "Summer" for an additional 5% off.
  7. Started at $80, upping it by $1 with free re-bids. At $84, I was denied but was offered the room at $112. I declined, knowing from past experience that I'd likely be able to get it at around the mid-point between $84 and $112, or $98. Continued increasing by $1 each time and, sure enough, got it at $98. Note: it was also available as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal at $106.
  8. Although this was offered as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal at $85, I wanted to see the savings under Name Your Own Price. The answer was $10 as I used free re-bids and snagged it at $75. Excellent hotel, have stayed there before.
  9. Total surprise. This Hilton hotel is listed as a Priceline 3 star, not 3.5 on all sites. I bid for 3.5 and was expecting to get the Marriott. Got it on my first bid (too high!) The good news is hotel quality, as it must have been re-rated up recently.
  10. Started at $48, increasing by $1 each time using free re-bid zones. Got it at $52. Retail for my dates is $90.
  11. This hotel was available on Hotwire for my dates at $171. Started bidding at $140. When I hit $145, they countered at $179, which I rejected. Finally got it at $159. Retail rate for my dates is $192.
  12. This hotel was available on Hotwire for my dates at $139. Started bidding at $109. They immediately countered at $140, which I rejected. Increased my bid by $2 with each free re-bid, snagging it at $123. Retail rate for my dates is $179.
  13. Started at $82 for 5* in Strip North and Strip Vicinity South. Upped my price using free bids. At $104, they countered at $134, which I declined. At $113, they again countered at $134, which I declined. Got it at $118. Six night stay including two expensive weekend nights. Cheapest average room rate I could find the Vdara for those 6 nights was $155. Happy to be going back to this casino-free, smoke-free, crowd-free luxury hotel.

  15. Started bidding at $50, they countered at $60. I ignored it and won the Sheraton at $52. The Sheraton Salt Lake has just undergone a $14 million transformation.
  16. All my research says this $93 current offer from Hotwire is the Westin Gaslamp *4-star Hotel in Gaslamp Quarter North - Horton Plaza with *Smoke Free Rooms *Fitness Center *Pool(s) *Restaurant(s) *Business Center *High-Speed Internet Access *90% Hotwire reviewers recommend *4.0 out of 5.0 on Tripadvisor Dates: 7/3-7/8 Because it does not show Spa, I assume it is not the Westgate. But other's postings indicate that the Westin Gaslamp can show up in other zones like Convention Center or even Downtown-Harbor Island. Anybody know what else it could be? Thanks!

  19. I have always wondered about the following. Say three hotels at the same star level and in the same bidding zone agree to work with Priceline. One hotel says the minimum they will accept for given dates is $50, another says $70 for the same dates, and the third says their minimum is $90 for those dates. If a customer bids $95, which hotel does he get?
  20. Expected to win the Aria, but got the Vdara which is a 57 story gaming-free, smoke-free, crowd-free, all-suite hotel and spa. It is physically connected to the Bellagio via pedestrian walkway.
