  1. Used the PRICELINE link - started at $48, used free rebids at $52, $56 and $60. Was hoping for the Hilton (have won that property numerous times) and see this Marriott property is currently under renovations so not too thrilled about it....oh well.
  2. Also notice your hotel list does not include "Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center" zone. Have they recently changed?
  3. About to start PL bidding for a San Diego hotel. Question - just received an email for "Bonus Cash" is there a way to use my bonus cash but still support this site by using their link? Does bonus cash actually work/help?
  4. 4* hotel in Minneapolis Downtown May 24 - 27 Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access
  5. Clicked Should have specified 3rooms Now I'm seeing same price (202) but only ammenities are non smoking and high speed Internet
  6. Will use link if purchasing...retail rates are high and only this and a 3 1/2 come up in the area (@$271) Ammeneties: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Free Internet
  7. Most likely, yes. Check the message board for posts from the same time last year - that might give you some insight.
  8. First bid $43/night for TWO rooms. Accepted. Used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link.
  9. Bid today 4* north strip zone up to $80 - got a counter offer of $143. Just thought I would post this because I have not seen a 4* won in the North Strip in over a year. Obviously if there are counter offers there must be some rooms avail
  10. Try going for the 5* north strip area up to $150. If you won the Palazzo its a suite and the couch has a bed in it I believe
  11. Have you taken a look for what hotels are retailing for in that zone if you were to purchase from the hotel directly? That could be an indicator. Also check out if there are any major conventions in town during your stay, as that would also drive up prices. Vegas is a tricky area for PRICELINE
  12. jbold -- dont go by the hotel list on this board to figure out the free rebid zones. Simply enter a bid on Priceline's site, and ONLY click on a zone. When you ONLY have Nellis checked, you will notice that you can only check 1-2.5 stars. Priceline greys out the other star levels, meaning they dont offer hotels at those star levels in this zone. Hope this clears it up?
  13. Weird, its back to normal now....maybe I messed something up earlier or there was a tech glitch. I do notice that the "Name your own price" screen is a bit different depending on how you get there (through priceline.com frontpage direct, through a different PRICELINE link, through the BB link, etc.)
  14. Did Priceline change their site to make it harder to identify the free rebid zones? When selecting "Las Vegas Speedway" zone you are able to select all star levels. Previously the 3-5* would be greyed out. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this
  15. With PRICELINE patience is key. Do you have a good backup hotel booked in case Priceline doesnt come through for you? I would think you have a good shot at $155, but you might not win it until closer to your actual trip dates
  16. Todays bids: 5* $120 bid rejected, counter offer $182 (increased) 4* $59 bid rejected, counter offer $86 (came down from yesterday)
  17. And make sure to use the PRICELINE link and post your results in a different Seattle, WA thread
  18. there are no clear cut patterns of how PRICELINE counters. What we do know is that it means you're getting close. Keep bidding up a few dollars more each day, so you dont end up over paying. i.e. try 96, 97, 98, ... 105 up to this highest you want to bid.
  19. 62dodge, You'll want to start your own thread if you would like assistance with your trip -- although you are bidding on the same star level, there are many factors that go into priceline strategy and your trip is a month earlier than mine.
  20. Bid today - 5* up to $120, same result of counter offer @ $162 Bid yesterday 4* north and south strip counter offer @$92 Bid today 4* north and south strip counter offer @ $89
  21. Priceline policy states that your room will accomidate two adults under their "Quality Experience Guarantee." I do not know if that means you will get two beds though, because technically a King size bed will accomidate two adults.
  22. thereyouare: I am now bidding on 4-star in the north/south strip zones as well. Do I put my progress/bids here as well (I am bidding on 4/5 star at same time) or do I make a new thread?
