  1. I just got a car, started at $15 for a full size car, and got it on first try. Wish I had started at $13 or $14, but $15 per day is still a good deal. So, Hertz, full size car, SFO $15. per day and $67.51 for taxes and fees, total $202.51. Thanks for your help.
  2. I just looked on Priceline again, and now the buy it now price is down to $16 per day.
  3. Dates for the trip: pick up full size car Oct. 28 noon and drop off November 5 around 8pm. Looking for a full size car. Thanks, and I will certainly report back.
  4. addendum, Priceline is offering the car for $17 without bidding. Suggestions on how low to start the bidding?
  5. Hello. Looking to bid on SFO rental car, probably full size, and am looking for bidding recommendations. Without bidding, Priceline offers the car for $18 per day (pay in full now, $19 or $20 for pay in full at time of pick up). Assuming I can do better than that with bidding, where should I start the bidding? Also, I looked at these same cars for same dates one month ago, and the price has now dropped $10 per day. So I'm very happy I put off the booking and waited. Thanks.
  6. Thank you for your post. I think you are right in that it is the Mission Hills Villas. Looks nice, reviews are good but no tennis or golf for me. I too think I'd rather be closer to downtown Palm Springs so I'll keep looking. I've looked into the Hyatt and the Hilton on their websites and may be able to book rooms there for under $200 a night. Very steep! I'm used to getting bargains in Palm Springs but don't think it will happen over Easter weekend. I have stayed at the Riviera through Priceline but overall was not happy with it. After requesting a nonsmoking room I was put into a smelly smoking room and overall I found the place to be dated and inhospitable. Geo
  7. Hi, I am looking for lodging, preferably 4*, in the Palm Springs area from April 4 to 10, 2007. A 4* condo came up on Hotwire for $119 per night in Rancho Mirage/Cathedral City area. It has one bedroom. Does anyone know anything about this property and a more exact location? Also, what are these types of condos usually like? Apartment style? Garden style? Thank you, Geo
