  1. Lor20 - Welcome to BetterBidding! The case could be that the Grand Lodge only gives rooms with a queen or king to HOTWIRE. You have to search for a room that takes 3 persons if you want a separate bed for your daughter. You might ending up paying an additional charge if you only book for 2 and shows up with your daughter. What would you like to do? Henrik.
  2. louridojul - Welcome to BetterBidding! First of all. You can't compare rates in the past with your upcoming stay. There is a big difference on low seasson/high season, weekday and weekend, nights of stay etc. I Checked HOTWIRE to you. And there is a 3* in USE for $86 with excellent reviews. I belive this is the Crowne Plaza Union Square. If you decide to go for this hotel so please use this HOTWIRE link I you're going to stick with priceline so focus on the 3* since your budget is $80. Rates are high for 4* in your preferd zones USE and Fisherman's Wharf. also read this Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and learn about re-bid zones or ask for help with a bidding strategy. Good luck! Henrik.
  3. Telly33 The Venetian is sold out for your dates. I looked at HOTWIRE for you but the few 4* hotels are out of your budget. You better stick with Pricline and try for a 4* You could also check boards GTA Hotels and EasyClickTravel found under Support/Travel Links. If you decide to go for the Tropicana so please use this link for Travelocity Good luck! Henrik.
  4. athtrasna, if you feel concerned about the noise issue. Print the answer from PL and take it with you to the hotel. If you get a room with "noise", use the answer from PL to claim a better room. Good luck! Henrik.
  5. 1. " I have tried to stick with resort bids on priceline because the choice seems to be more narrow. Am I correct?" You should know that not all hotels you see in the non-opaque version of PL participates in the bidding version. You could end up with a non reported hotel or a hotel that's not listed in the non-opaque version. also notice that the zones are diffrent in the non-opaque version. 2. "Should I start trying to rebid now for the resorts under Priceline now that my last bid is over 24 hours. Can I try to bid for the same days restarting at a lower bid? and work upwards? Yes, you can start with any price you like and work your way upwards. Do you only bid at the resort level? Please read this: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and learn about re-bid zones. Allways start at the higher level an work your way down using your re-bid zones. You can't go from 3* to 4* but you can use your free zones and go from 4* to 3*. And please remember to use savingsbarn.com link for Priceline Good luck! Henrik.
  6. marino13, there is a match for Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, so that would be a good guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. Henrik.
  7. ccgw - Welcome to BetterBidding! Priceline doesn't remember your last bid. So you can start at any level you prefer. Sorry but I can't help you with the question regarding the rooms. Good luck! Henrik.
  8. nphillips - Welcome to BetterBidding! yes, it's busy times in London at your dates. But the board has several members that know London very well. Could you please post what amount you have bid for a 4* hotel. If you have made 125 bids without any hit must there be a reason. Have you checked the rack rates for the know hotels in your zones you have bid at so your bids are realistic comparing to the rack rates? If you need help with a strategy so please post your max budget for your stay, preferd star rating and zones you would like to stay in. Please read about "when to bid" in the board's PRICELINE FAQ. Have you looked at HOTWIRE for your dates? Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go with HW. Just ask if you have any further questions. Henrik.
  9. mooseknuckles, Thanx for sharing your win with the board! I just tried answerd your question in your other thread, please keep all posts for the same date in one thread :) The Doubletree International Plaza Hotel does not match the HOTWIRE amenities for your stay. Have nice stay! Henrik.

  11. mooseknuckles, the 4* is a match for Hilton Toronto Airport. Sorry, but I can't get a match for the 3* Pleae use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go with HOTWIRE Good luck Henrik.
  12. masmith - Welcome to BetterBidding! We need some more information about your stay and what you need help with. Please post you preferd star rating, what zones you're willing to accept for your stay and max budget if you need help with a bidding strategy. There is also HOTWIRE as an option for your stay. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go this route. Sorry but I have no advice regarding discount tickets. But sometimes Sea World has some great offer on the company site. Search on Google for tickets also, maybe there is a combo ticket for SW and Zoo. Good luck! Henrik.
  13. briand, I looked at the rack rate for Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino ($103 win) for your dates. Best rate is $369. You better look what the rate is for the Westin resort. And what rack rates the other bidders has reported (if any) in the posts You can't compare rates in the past with your upcoming stay. There is a big difference on low seasson/high season, weekday and weekend, nights of stay etc. The best technique is do do your homework. Check rack rates for your stay and see if your bid is realistic, follow the board and see if new wins or rejections are posted around your dates etc. Please ask if you need further help. Henrik.
  14. Galabar, what rating do bid at?? It could be to your advantage to look at the known hotels (from boards list) rack rates to give you an estimate how much to bid. Good luck! Henrik.
  15. Angulogirl - Welcome to BetterBidding! Thanx for sharing your win the board. Could you please post your date (s) to help other bidders looking for the same area/dates.
  16. jamesjim1k - Welcome to BetterBidding! All hotels that have been reported to the board can be found in the Priceline Hotel List for Other Countries You also need to look after reported wins in Priceline Other Countries Please note that hotel ratings and zones can change any time. You could be the first to report a new hotel. Allways look at the PL maps before you bid so you are comfortable with the zone. Just ask if you need any help. Good luck and keep the board updated. Henrik.
  17. TamB, Congrats to this 3* hotel! Just a tip for the future. When you recive an offer like you did from PL. Start with bidding half (or less) the offer PL just gave you using your re-bid zones. PL will accept this most of the times. A great investment is to read this Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and learn about re-bid zones. Can you please confirm that this is still a 3* rating, thanx! Henrik.
  18. You got the process correct. Just follow the instructions on the PL sites. It's very easy. You will find all 4* hotels reported to the board in the hotel list for Pittsburgh. You must post your maximum budget and the zone (s) you're willing to accept if you want help with a strategy. Please read this: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained Just post if you need help to determ/confirm your free zones. Good luck! Henrik.
  19. brettjiang, great to see that you can appreciate a nice deal! "I think I will accept it. Just want to know whether this 5 star hotel is Venetian" You gotta love satisfied people :) Henrik.
  20. Essiar, the 3.5* hotel match the Marriott West Loop by the Galleria. You have not listed the amenities for the 4*, but there is a match for the Hyatt Regency (Louisiana Street) at your date. So this would be my best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for any of the hotels. Henrik.
  21. Welcome to BetterBidding Ileaina! you have to post your dates, preferd star rating, zone (s) for the city and your maximum budget for your stay. Good luck! Henrik.
  22. Hello oregonn8v and welcome to Betterbidding! Priceline is not an option in your case since they only guarantee a room for 2 adults. Your party is 7 people and you want 2 rooms, so that leaves you with HOTWIRE First of all, if you feel stressed over spring break week so book a cancellable hotel to start with. Good sites are boards EasyClickTravel or GTA hotels, found at support page. I looked at HOTWIRE for your dates (3/20-22) and found a 4* hotel for $123/night. I *belive* this is the Hyatt Regency. I can't tell if it's better then the Holiday Inn. But it's pretty close to the port. If you decide to go for the Hyatt or any other Hotel so please use this HOTWIRE link. HOTWIRE is all about excess inventory so you never know about inventory this far in advance. But Miami will be more crowded due to spring break and many with you are going on a cruise. If you have any further questions so feel free to ask. Henrik.
  23. Well, I'm back home from my 6 leg stay in Florida :o , I really have to get an american wife so I can cut down on airfares :) . (I'm 40, rich and tremendous good looking :) ) I had a very nice time, stayed in some very nice hotels and overall very satisfied with all places and treatment. I will post reviews for the hotels I stayed at. A break down for my stay. Everything is ex taxes. I paid in total for 13 nights $714. Total: Best rack rates at hotels own site at the time I got them $2187 Avarage rate comes to $55/night. All hotels was 3* and upp Pretty hard to beat considering the good quality at the hotels I got. Sure, a lot of homework was done before hitting PL. But I think all the time used was a great investment. And I have more time then money. The savings at the hotels is a free ticket back to Florida in the fall including hotels. Henrik
  24. aluap1234, have you booked a cancellable backup yet? You can do this with the boards EasyClickTravel or GTA Hotels. You will find the links on the support site. The question here is, how soon do want to secure the hotel? As I predicted you moved very fast from $55 to $71 so you could close this :) is it more important for you to get a hotel now or to get it at a lower price? Trying to hit a hotel at lower rate can take some time (weeks). Have you looked at the rack rates for your dates at the frequent Priceline hotels? If so, please post them. I looked at HOTWIRE today and the rates are the same as last time. If you want to end this now, try around 73-75-78 tomorrow or stay cool around $55-$62. You have 3 months before you leave. So I would say that you have the time on your side. I would like to help you out some more but I'm leaving for Disney in Florida tomorrow, I wish you good luck! Henrik.
