  1. wewowe, HOTWIRE has a 3* in the "City Line" zone for $156 if that zone is working for you. Henrik.
  2. ducman - Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you going to use priceline or HOTWIRE ?? You are asking about Priceline and list amenities for HOTWIRE Golden Nugget is the the only reported 4* hotel (Freemont street) for the moment at Priceline. But that don't exclude the possibility to get another hotel. Zones and ratings change all the time. The HOTWIRE amenities you have listed is a match for Golden Nugget, so that would be a good guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. Just post if you need any further help. Henrik.
  3. dle, what do you need help with? Maybe the hotel don't have any inventory at Priceline for the moment If they are "pretty" booked. Have you looked at the hotels rack rate for your dates? Best rate on the Westin site is $394/night. Henrik.
  4. Another thing to decide is this. Priceline only guarantee a room for 2 adults. You can get a room with only a king or queen bed. I would say go with HOTWIRE. Henrik
  5. prh1976 - Welcome to BetterBidding! I have searched at your posted dates but I can't get the hotel to show at HOTWIRE. How many people/room(s) have you searched at?? Henrik.
  6. timriley, there could be a big difference from month to month. Don't rely on old wins. Shame about HOTWIRE, it's usally a clue to use. What is the rack rates for boards reported 4* hotels in your zone?? Please read this link about when to bid: www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=17& Henrik.
  7. stephen509, All reported wins for London is found in "other countries" www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showforum=177& A good way to get a feeling for a realistic bid amount is to check boards reported 5* hotels rack rates for your dates. An option to Priceline is HOTWIRE If you need help with a bidding strategy so please post, 1. Your date(s) 2. Zones you're willing to stay in 3. Budget/night in $USD Good luck and just post if you need any further help. Henrik.
  8. Used savingsbarn.com PRICELINE link to start with Rejections for 10/5/07 - 10/9/07. I have tried $90 for Resort in Disney World Vicinity zone. And $48 at 3* Universal Studios - Sea World zone. I'm going slow at 3* since Wyndham at I-Drive got $99 as best rack rate. Rack rates are pretty decent for Omni and Gaylord Palms in DWV zone. The magical amount use to be $95 here. But there is options all around. And boards GTA Hotels got some nice deals. But I have my eyes on the "newer" 3* Crowne Plaza Resort ($99 at HOTWIRE) in Universal Studios - Sea World zone. If anyone got rejections around my dates, 10/5/07 - 10/9/07, so please post. I have made my back-up with boards GTA Hotels link. Henrik.
  9. Used savingsbarn.com link to support the board Sheraton Yankee Trader Hotel Ft Lauderdale Beach Area 321 North Atlantic Boulevard Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304 Missed at $76, got offer to raise $22, bid $80 and got it. I have been waiting for the Diplomat in Hollywood to show at HOTWIRE without luck. So I did my homework and got the best price ever for October dates in Ft Lauderdale, $80/night with a beach that is far better than Hollywood. I do prefer Fort Lauderdale but an ocean view room at the Diplomat is hard to beat. But I'm very satified with the outcome and the beach is more important for us. Happy days! Henrik.
  10. Used boards HOTWIRE link to book this stay Best Western Lakeside (2.5*) 7769 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway Kissimmee, Florida34747 Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry (no change comparing to boards list) Very nice place for the price. Second leg done, 3 to go! Henrik.
  11. azm1000, can you please post your date(s) for your stay. Henrik.
  12. MJL065, can you please post your date(s) for your stay. Henrik.
  13. titi - Welcome to BetterBidding! No need to be stressed, you're in good company here! The first thing you should do is to determ and post what zone(s) your willing to stay in. Second thing is to post your budget/night. I know that NYC is expensive and busy in december. Is a 3* hotel an option for you? The board needs this information to help you with a bidding strategy for your stay. Just post if you need any futher help. Good luck, Henrik.
  14. smokin - Welcome to BetterBidding! Yes, you can use Priceline.com without any problems. I live in Sweden and the board got several other members from Europe, Canada etc. Just ask if you need help with anything. Henrik.
  15. MattOsprey, thanx for the info! I looked at this zone recently, and the 4* option was there. But like I said, ratings and zones change all the time. Strange no one has posted about this, it's a frequent zone. Henrik.
  16. Priceline. Los Angleles (Santa Monica & Marina Del Rey zone) no longer offer bidding at 4* Henrik.
  17. rachelle - Welcome to betterBidding! I did a search at HOTWIRE for your stay since you have no luck with priceline. The best value I can find is one of the two 3* Sheraton's Clipper or Trader (my guess is Clipper) in the beach zone at $115. I did a search for 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 children/room. Both the Yankee and Clipper are solid 3* hotels with resturants and pools. The Sheraton's is very close the port and around $10-$12 with cab from airport The 4* Pier 66 is also at HOTWIRE for $340. But I wouldn't pay that for this hotel. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to book. Let us know if you need any further help. Please post your outcome at the board. Good luck! Henrik.
  18. Andre - Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a match for the Best Western Lakeside. BW Lakeside is a 2-story motel style place. The location is great to the parks and restaurants. Grounds are nice with 3 pools. Restaurants and bars got good prices. Clean rooms in regular size with refrigerator. Great value for the money if you ask me. This would easy be a 3* if built in "hotel" style. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to book this place. Please post your outcome for your stay. Henrik.
  19. To all 3 posters Don't forget to look at boards EasyClickTravel and GTA Hotels. Great deals can still be found here when HOTWIRE or PL hotels are expensive. Links are to be found under Support/Travel page. Good luck! Henrik.
  20. SpencerSTHLM, the hotel isn't that bad, you did well for the money. The location to the parks, resturants and I4 is great! Pool area is ok, they have 2 for 1 beers in the afternoon. Pizza Hut with fair prices and a well stocked (expensive) gift shop. There is a good Golden Corral close to the hotel. Just make sure you get the sleep number beds. They might charge you $10/night for that. Have fun with Mickey! Henrik.
  21. Used the savingsbarn.com pricleine link 3* Bahia Mar Beach Resort And Yachting Center Ft Lauderdale Beach Area 801 Seabreeze Boulevard Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316 954-764-2233 Missed at $55 & $56. Parking is $20 :) This is for our first night before we leave for Orlando. More posts will follow for Orlando (nearby dates) Henrik.
  22. earlthepearlferrell, it's still very early to catch a room. Hilton or other hotels might not have an inventory this early at Priceline. But I'm sure that the spring break will drive up the price. Rates change all the time allong with the inventory. You can't compare old rates with diffrent new dates. Please read this PRICELINE FAQ. What is the rate on the Hilton site for you dates?? Henrik.
  23. To close this topic. I tried a few times within my limit without any luck. I still think it's strange.... Henrik.
  24. To close this post. Another couple decided to join my friends on the trip. So they feelt more secure to go the conventional way. Some people win and some lose... Henrik.
