  1. bb32 - Welcome to BetterBidding! If you don't rent a car you'll need a place with a shuttle if you go with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE I would not gamble with priceline for 2* or 2.5* hotels. There are good places and some real dumps within this rating. I don't have so much time today, but stop by tomorrow for more info. Henrik.
  2. net22 - Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your date(s) for the stay. Henrik. PS. Maybe the nearby goldmine can pay for your stay! :)
  3. 4* Caesars Palace now shows 4.5* (VP 4/16-4/19/08) Current VP amenities: Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services YellowDog.
  4. I just did a HOTWIRE search and it's not there :) I see a 4* W/ Fitness center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Hi-speed internet. At $94 Henrik
  5. davdell - Welcome to BetterBidding! Please post your dates for the stay so we get this correct. Henrik.
  6. You need to wait 24H if bidding for the same zone and * rating and dates. Please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained about re-bid zones. And please keep all you post in the same thread if they are releated to your Toronto stay. It's easier to keep track of your questions and concerns for your stay this way Henrik.
  7. Please follow-up your San Francisco post and then bump this post. Henrik.
  8. board_salomon - Welcome to BetterBidding! you question is not so easy to answer. But take a look at HOTWIRE, this will give you a rough idea about the current prices. And PRICELINE is usally cheaper. If you need help with a bidding strategy for your stay so please post your nightly budget, zone(s) you're comfortable to stay in and * levels for the hotel. Just ask if you have any further questions. Henrik
  9. You should not try PRICELINE before you know what you're doing. What is your main concern? Take your time and ask, you have plenty of time before you leave, it's better you ask before you bid so you don't get stuck in the wrong zone etc. And you should not bid for 4* in the South zone since you don't want Westin or Luxor. 4* in the North zone are not so frequent reported. Most bidders go for 5* If you need help with a bidding strategy so please post your nightly budget and what zones you're comfortable to stay in. Henrik.
  10. happy daisy, can you please post the date(s) for your stay. Henrik
  11. sparky86, you have a separate zone for the beach. Henrik.
  12. salukis1 - Welcome to BetterBidding! I might be slow but I'm not sure I follow your needs here so my answer might look strange. Do you want to go with Priceline for all your dates? Or just 3/6 and use HOTWIRE for 3/7-3/9?? Or is a part of your plan to use cheapest HOTWIRE and the Priceline? 5* for 3/6. Rate is $200 for this night. Just try, it's free! But the inventory is limited for the rest of the stay since your max is $110. Prices are not that cheap this weekend. Westin is cheapest per today and a frequent win in the south zone. So it's a possibility. 4* wins in the North zone is not seen so much I think you should do Priceline your complete stay before you split your bid. Are you ok with the Westin (slight of strip) in the South zone? Please post your thoughts before I make things more complicated. Henrik. PS. Mirage can be booked directly at $107/night and Luxor at $108/night. If you decide to do this please use boards links at the support page
  13. The board don't see many reported wins for 4* in the North zone. It's a long time since TI was repoted as a Priceline win. So you might get an alternate plan for your stay. A good option is to look at HOTWIRE for your stay. Good luck! Henrik.
  14. jaronliu - Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start with posting your win for Amsterdam including the date(s) for your stay. And do a separate post on each question you have, inc the date(s) for your stay if you need any help. Henrik.
  15. sazcjg, how many people did you search for? I did a search for 2 adults + 2 kids but the hotel don't show up. But I can see it when searching for 2 adults. And it's a macth for the Dolphin. Sure, Orlando is made for familys, but I wouldn't advise you to book a room for 2 adults when you have 3 kids. You can get a room with a queen/king bed only when booking for 2 adults. What is your plan for the 3rd kid when it comes to the sleeping question? Henrik.
  16. odaisydukeo - Welcome to BetterBidding! Great that you decided to join the board. I took a look at HOTWIRE but I can't see the 3* hotel for your dates. Do you still see this hotel? How many rooms/people did you search for? Henrik.
  17. lisabarr, good news, it's back :) Per time and date when my post it's made is this a match for the Fairfield Inn Orlando Airport. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for it. Henrik.
  18. sazcjg, please post your preference for your stay so the board can help you. Now you're asking about a 4* in the Maingate area and a 2.5* in LBV. also take a look at boards HOTWIRE HOTEL LIST Henrik.
  19. thereuare, When you have past the C/O date is your details/amenities no longer stored under "my account". Has been so for a while.
  20. TexasBill - Welcome to BetterBidding! I just want to make sure that you are aware about the HOTWIRE rules when it comes to cancellations? I'm just saying this since your stay is so far away. Henrik.
  21. bloomingdale, the hotel is very close to the airport and Westin provides a 24H shuttle. Even if you took a cab would this be cheaper than the $16 shuttle. Henrik.
  22. I wouldn't go for this deal unless you got the tower rooms. Henrik.
  23. elpack - Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your date(s) for your stay so the board can have a look at it. Henrik.
  24. TripAdvisor's 2008 top 10 Dirtiest Hotels Very fun reading and pictures! http://www.tripadvisor.com/DirtyHotels-p757 I wonder how people think when they book a hotel after reading all the neg reviews and seeing the bad pictures. And then they complain about the hotel! Enjoy! Henrik.
  25. The best thing you can do is to call the hotel and ask how booked they are. Say that you can't decide if going or not and want to ask about availability for your dates. Keep the board updated. Henrik.
