  1. Bridge203618 - Welcome to BetterBidding! Yes, the University Place conference center has been reported with that set of amenties. So that would be a good guess. Sorry to say that I can't answer about the transportation to this hotel. Sometimes booth PRICELINE and HOTWIRE zones feels unfair when a hotel is right on the border to another zone. Or if the zone cover more than it says. But that is just it way it is. But you're lucky you saw it before booking the hotel. "I am thinking I might be better off with the 3.5 star which could be one of at least 3 hotels by reading info on your site... correct?" Are you thinking about HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? If going with PRICELINE can you get any of the listed hotels. And you can get a hotel that is not listed at the boards list. Hotels and ratings change all the time. Please post if you have any further questions. YellowDog.
  2. Packedready - Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your date(s) for your stay.
  3. baaman, you have nothing to loose, try the whole stay in one shot to start with. You have plenty of time, but labor day weekend will be busy in LV. also book a back-up for your stay that you're comfortable with. This will take the preassure out of bidding if getting rejected. You will find plenty of links at boards support page If it don't work with bidding for the complete stay so just post back for further advice. Regarding pricing: If you would like a realistic advice about bid amount so please post the rates for boards reported 5* hotels, each night separate. Average price for your stay will not cut it in LV. HOTWIRE will also give you a clue about prices if they currently got any 5* listed. You have plenty of zones to bid in when going for 5*. Please make sure you're comfortable with re-bidding zones. If not, read this Priceline Re-Bidding Explained Any questions before you start so just post. Please start all bidding with this PRICELINE link Good luck! YellowDog
  4. nevinsmommy - Welcome to Betterbidding! This is a match for the Gaylord Palms Resort & Spa (very nice place!) so that would be my best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to book the hotel. Have fun with Mickey! YellowDog.
  5. Sam375, have you tried searching for 3 adults or 2 + 2, 3 + 1 etc. YelloDog.
  6. Safari23 - Welcome to BettrBidding! I can help you with Fort Lauderdale. But I'm out of town untill thursday. I'm just stoping by to check the Las Vegas section. Meantime, please post the dates and nighly budget. YellowDog.
  7. stu44, this is a match for the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Clearwater Beach so that would be my best guess. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. YellowDog.
  8. chuzo, this is a match for the Millenium Broadway so that would be my best guess. Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. YellowDog.
  9. JSM123, this is a match for the Millennium Hotel Buffalo 2040 Walden Ave so that would be my best guess. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. YellowDog.
  10. Please follow-up your previous Hotwire Cape Canaveral thread and then bump this post. YellowDog.
  11. AZ Nightshade, thanx for posting your win! But can you please add the dates for your stay? Your correct that this deal will not be nominated as the "deal of the year", but you saved a few $$. You can allways ask or maybe pay for an upgrade when you arrive to the hotel. Sadly is this one the hotels that got "PRICELINE rooms", or used to have. I don't know how far the renovation has come. Next time you use PRICELINE so take a look at the boards Priceline Florida Hotel List. You should not have used the 4* level if you had the Marriot in mind. This hotel is a Resort. So you should have used the Resort level when you bid. Feel free to ask any question before your next stay. I hope everything turns out good for you. If you have the time when you get back so please post a few lines about the room and your stay. YellowDog.
  12. Jason's Storm, In addition to thereuare's answer. If using PRICELINE 3* for the beach area is also the Hilton Rialto in the "city" in the same zone, so if you have your mind set at a beach hotel be aware of the Hilton. For Cocoa Beach (if you want a beach hotel) have I found HOTWIRE safer to use. Take a look at HOTWIRE, and just post if you need help with any ID. YellowDog.
  13. I'm not thereuare but I know the answer :) $6.95 plus tax/night, no parking fee. Cheap beers in the afternoon in the poolbar. If hotel is not fully booked, ask for an upgrade to the sleep number beds rooms. Usally charge you $10, well worth the money and your back! Have fun with Mickey! YellowDog.
  14. MayB - Welcome to BetterBidding! I can't get a current match for this hotel. But this amentie combo has been reported to the board as the Wingate Inn Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. I would feel very safe booking this place with a TA rating at 4/5. And for $49/night. Henrik.
  15. ellruss, I'm bidding for the same dates. I just tried $155 at 5* in the North zone. Got counter offer at $190 You should read my intitial Priceline Las Vegas post. YellowDog.
  16. You should really not post info like this when you don't know what you're talking about. Renaissance is still rated 4* at PRICELINE and not as Resort. You will not get Renaissance if you bid in the resort level. But zones and ratings change all the time so allways check before bidding. YellowDog.
  17. juniorvz1, this is match for the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia so that would be my best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. YellowDog.
  18. kellyv, You'll be fine in the Sea World area. It's only a few (2?) exits to Universal, a very short drive. You can even go I-Drive to Universal early in the morning if you want to avoid I-4. If it's the comp breakfast you're after is there a 3* option in Sea Worls zone. The hotel match the Residence Inn. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. YellowDog.
  19. AmyCaroline - Welcome to BetterBidding! Sorry to say that I can't figure out the 2* hotel. And this hotel has never been reported to the board. But for your dates is there a 2.5*, also with comp breakfast that is cheaper ($44) and got a better TA rating. That hotel is a match for the Extended Stay Deluxe. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to book it. Henrik.
  20. Hello LadTravelsLots - Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a match for the Aqua Palms & Spa. So that would be my best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for the hotel. YellowDog.
  21. bb32, the opaque side don't work like regular hotel business. HOTWIRE rates and inventory change all the time. The board will be happy to help you with your needs. But theres is no point in spending time to track and ID hotels if you're not ready book. The hotel and price you see today can be gone tomorrow. Your stay is on the longer side so my advice is to look into this pretty "fast". If one or two nights gets sold out during your stay, you might be forced to split your stay. And you don't want to do this if not renting a car. And it's not likley to find a 2*/2.5* with comp breakfast + shuttles to all the parks. Not all 3* got shuttles all the parks. But there is other options for going to the parks. You should really think about renting a car to get most out of your stay. Sometimes can you score really cheap rentals at HOTWIRE. Talk to your GF and get back with your thoughts. Henrik.
  22. bb32, I have looked around at HOTWIRE for your dates. There is some nice places within your budget in diffrent zones. But you have to decide if you're going to rent a car or not, since walking to the parks (any) is no option. Are you only going to Disney? No Universal, Busch Gardens, Sea World etc?? Are you ready to look in/book your resarvation know? YellowDog.
  23. kellyv, I have tried to ID the hotel you see at HOTWIRE without success. This is not one of the "regular" amenties combos we are used to see in his zone. The board has been asked before abouth this hotel without any success to ID it then. It might be the Clarion Universal with diffrent amenties, but that is just a guess. Is Universal the only zone you're comfortable to stay in? Henrik.
  24. mattmono3 - Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a match for the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Hotel. Please use this HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for this hotel. Have fun with Mickey! henrik.
