  1. nico_suave - Welcome to BetterBidding! I'm sorry to say that I can't help you with the hotel. This amenitie combo has never been reported to the board. Maybe admin or another member can shine some light over this hotel. Many hotels charge you an extra fee, and they call it "Resort" fee. There is 2* places that charge you this. The name "resort fee" has nothing to do with the * level of the place. YellowDog
  2. Click on the continue button in the red box with price and star level for the hotel. If there is any (not allways) TA rating will you find it to the right of the map on the next page. YellowDog
  3. A general answer is no, it's not the lowest price. But the hard part to answer is how much it takes to bag the hotel. Sometimes it only takes a few $ when you have gotten a counter. And sometimes it takes 50%+ of the counter offer to get the hotel. There is no easy answer to this question. When I was bidding on Vegas, I got a ? counter and I didn't hit when adding 75% from the counter. Sometimes it takes what the counter offer says. And weekends are more expensive in LV and sometimes a difficult city to master since prices are like rollercoasters. The good news is that you have plenty of re-bidd zones (post if you need help with this) to use in Vegas. You have gotten a $60 counter offer on both your 4* and 5* bids. So I would say work your way up to to your maximum using your zones in smaller steps since you have plenty of time. But be aware that the offer can go away any time. If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your maximum for both 4* & 5* and the zones you are willing to stay in. Please remember to use the boards PRICELINE link when bidding. Good luck and post with any question.
  4. Some important info about this place since it new for BB. *They do not provide daily housekeeping service. You have to pay for this service. * Resort fee is $10/day, *parking, internet and shuttle to Disney, Sea World and Universal is included in the resort fee. YellowDog.
  5. fyaman - Welcome To BetterBidding! I could see the TA rating in my search. This is a match for the Planet Hollywood. So That would be my best guess. Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go. YellowDog.
  6. Welcome To BetterBidding! I'm sorry to say that I can't crack the 3* hotel for you. But there is a 3.5* for the same price. And that is a match for the Crown Plaza. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for it. Just post if you have any question. YellowDog.
  7. KUMatrix, could you please post your date(s) for your stay. Please note that admin has posted a question to you in your Las Vegas thread. YellowDog.
  8. Please note that the Oak Plantation Resort is now downgraded to 2.5* per VP 3/09/09 -3/13/09 YellowDog.
  9. Welcome To BetterBidding! Can you please check if there is an additional "24-hour Front Desk " amenitie icon for the condo. I belive we're looking at the same place, but it's better to safe.... YellowDog.
  10. wrdtvlr - Welcome To BetterBidding! In general, there is no best time to catch the best deal. There are so many factors. We all have diffrent ways to score the best deal. Some say early, some say late. If your the tickets ready and plans are firm, roll the dice.... A few things to think about. * Bought is bought at PRICELINE * Don't get stressed and overbid if you don't hit. Take it easy, you have plenty of time * Look at HOTWIRE to get a feeling for the prices * If you feel insure, book a back-up that you can live with and can cancell * Be aware that hotels come and go all the time at priceline Feel free to post with any question. And please remember to use boards PRICELINE link when you bid. Good luck! YellowDog.
  11. HOTWIRE changes for Las Vegas Las Vegas (Center Strip) 3* Bills Gamblin Hall and Saloon. Now shows 2.5* per VP 4/14-4/17/09 Las Vegas (near Strip East) 2.5* Best Western Mardi Gras Inn. Now shows 2* per VP 4/14-4/17/09 Henrik.
  12. TripAdvisor's 2009 Dirtiest Hotels Time again, hilarious reading and photos!! http://www.tripadvisor.com/DirtyHotels?nl=MU&pid=1595 Enjoy! YellowDog.
  13. nyc_adventurer - Welcome To BetterBidding! You will not get a 3* hotel when bidding on 3.5 or the R level. When bidding at PRICELINE you're bidding at the minimum * level you will get. You can get a 4* when bidding at a 3.5*, but you can never get a 3* when bidding at a 4*. The diffrent * levels explained can be found at the official PRICELINE site. Please use the boards PRICELINE link when bidding. YellowDog.
  14. socogirl5000 - Welcome To BetterBidding! Can you please post you date/s for the stay. YellowDog.
  15. greatrockies, I have taken a look at this. And The Rosen Plaza has been upgraded* to 4 stars. So the best guess for this is the Rosen Plaza. The Shingle Creek is not typicaly seen with the laundry option. And Rosen Center is still graded 3.5* Please use boards HOTWIRE link id you decide to go for this. Good luck and post with any question. YellowDog. * (per VP 03/21-03/27)
  16. millsie83 - Wellcome to BetterBidding! There is a match for Hard Rock so that would be my best guess. HOTWIRE only book standard rooms to you. But you can try ask/upgade for another room when arriving to the hotel. I doubt they are heavy booked due to the price they have, but things can change. About the price. Sometimes the difference is small and sometimes does the hotel have great promo that is better than HOTWIRE, Vegas is famous for this. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go that route. Good luck and post with any question. YellowDog.
  17. Thanx for the help! I used boards HOTWIRE link to book this 3* Hilton Garden Inn Orlando SeaWorld International Center 6850 Westwood Boulevard Orlando, Florida 32821 * Fitness Center * Restuarant * laundry * Golf * Pool * Business * High-speed Internet Access Dates: 9/16-9/23/2008. $36/night This is the 3rd set of amenities reported for this hotel! YellowDog.
  18. Welcome to BetterBidding floridabound! Please post your date(s) for your stay and the amenties for the HOTWIRE condo. Yellowdog.
  19. I can't crack this one! I have tried and tried but no go. I have searched on 10 alternate dates in the package section, I have googled the amenties and area, I have looked at all PRICELINE options to get an idea without an answer. I'm pretty good at Orlando but this one drives me crazy! 3* SeaWorld - I-drive South Area. 6/16-9/23. 2 adults/$36 night. 4/5 and 80 reviews. Sure, 4/5 at $36 is a done deal! But I don't want to stay down south at against Vineland. And the golf icon makes me belive it's the south end of the zone. * Fitness Center * Restuarant * laundry * Golf * Pool * Business * High-speed Internet Access Anyone got a pointer?? Yellowdog.
  20. Welcome to BetterBidding kksmama! It's very easy to help you :) PRICELINE is the lesser option for you comparing to HOTWIRE PRICELINE don't guarantee a room for 3 adults, only 2. Using PRICELINE for 3 adults in NYC is risky business. You can very well get a room with a king bed. And there is nothing that say that you will get the Hilton Times Square like the OP. May I suggest that you take a look at HOTWIRE, it's easier to target a hotel on HOTWIRE and you know that you will get a room that takes 3 adults. Take a look at the HOTWIRE zones and hotels and post back with your thoughts. Good luck! Yellowdog
  21. Welcome to BetterBidding markb! The board needs some more info to help you. Take some time and learn about the diffrent NYC zones. There is plenty of information on the board. also take a look at the zones at PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. We also need to know you minimum * level for the hotel. And you should know that there's noting that say that you will get a twin room at PRICELINE. You can get a room with a king bed. NYC is famous for small rooms. Now, do some research (it's fun!), you have plenty of time. Feel free to post with any question. Good luck! Yellowdog.
  22. Welcome to BetterBidding little bear! Please post the dates you have searched for, we don't know how you changed the dates! And the amenties listed for the hotel. Yellowdog.
