  1. Welcome To BetterBidding Tash79! I have looked at the current prices for your stay. And I would say that your chance is slim. And if you use PRICELINE must you be willing to accept any of the reported 5* hotels in the North Strip zone. It's very hard to target a specific hotel. And using PRICELINE and HOTWIRE don't give you the option (many times) to choose room location, strip view, tower room or newer section of the hotel. Sure, you can get an upgrade. But this is up to the clerk at C/I. Reading your post gives me the feeling that HOTWIRE is the better option for you. Since the board many times can ID the listed hotels there. I would suggest that you start looking at HOTWIRE to see what they offer for your stay. Please post with any question. YellowDog.
  2. That is correct. But the TA ratings comes and go in a mysterious way. YellowDog.
  3. peeb - Welcome To BetterBidding! PRICELINE only guarantee a room for two adults. You could get a twin room, but also get a room with a queen/king bed. So if your traveling party is 4 people would I use HOTWIRE. You can search HOTWIRE for a quad room. Please have a look at HOTWIRE for your stay and feel free to post with any question or help with ID of hotel. Good luck! YellowDog.
  4. Roaderunner, I have sent you a PM about this. Please post when your plans are firm regarding zone(s) and star rating. HOTWIRE only book the standard rooms at the hotels. But, several posters had good luck with the "$20 trick" at TI. Upgrades are depending on the clerk at C/I but it never hurts to ask. I have been upgraded without asking when it's slow at the hotels. But I have also got a big no sometimes. YellowDog.
  5. volman3, Great to hear that you liked the stay. Yes, it's a great place with an awesome pool area. Could you please let us know the current resort fee? YellowDog.
  6. Admin: This is the same hotel as the "2.5* Best Western Movieland" in the list. Just got upgraded with the new owners. neocadre: Let's hope you like the place since you got it for the next weekend also! The location is perfect, very close to Universal and Sea World. 15 minute drive to Disney parks. Lot's of breakfast/restaurants/bars within walking distance. YellowDog.
  7. There is a really nice solid 3* place for kids in the in the Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney zone. It's the Holiday Inn Sunspre Resort. The have special kids suites and rooms with bunkbeds. And all rooms/suites got refrigerator and microwave. They also got "kids eat free" (12 & under) with the purchase of one full adult entree for breakfast or dinner. And shuttle to Disney parks. Rate for your dates is around $90/night. If you decide to go for this so please use the holiday Inn link at the boards support page If this is over your budgett so please post your maximum/night + preferd area to stay in. YellowDog.
  8. bobbarkerbilly, since your trip is only 2 weeks away would I like to ask you about a small favour? Excalibur got 2 types of standard rooms, restored (widescreen room) and unrestored (Deluxe rooms). Could you please report back what kind of rooms your party got. And if you were given the option to upgrade to a restored room, given that you got an unrestored room at C/I. Have fun and thanx in advance! YellowDog.
  9. pinkdiamond816, This is a match for the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. So that would be my best guess. Please use boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for this. Have fun with mickey! YellowDog.
  10. Changes for PRICELINE Las Vegas (Strip South) 4* Monte Carlo now show 3.5* per VP 4/14-4/17 Orlando (Universal Studios - SeaWorld) 3* Doubletree Orlando Universal now show 3.5* per VP 5/4-5/7 Orlando (Disney World Vicinity) 3.5* Regal Sun Resort now show 3* per VP 5/4-5/7 2.5* International Plaza Resort and Spa now show 3* per VP 5/4-5/7 2.5* Courtyard by Marriott Lake Buena Vista now show 3* per VP 5/4-5/7
  11. You have post what zone(s) you're willing to stay in and your maximum budgett for the Resort or a lower rated hotel to get help with a strategy. also start a new topic for Kauai since that stay is for diffrent dates. And please remember to use boards PRICELINE link when bidding. YellowDog.
  12. pinkdiamond816 - Welcome to BetterBidding! I'm pretty sure that this hotel is'nt the Swan. But I will be happy to try to help you ID the hotel you have posted. But I belive that there is more amenties for this hotel then that you have listed. You have to go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering and then click the "See all amenities" link under the icons, do you see more amenities than what you've listed for the hotel? NOTE: you will likely need to click the pop-up window with the amenities, the CTRL+A, and copy/paste to a text program such as NOTEPAD or WORDPAD to see them all since HOTWIRE is missing the scrollbars from this window. YellowDog.
  13. This is the same hotel I got on my search. There is a match for Treasure Island, so that is my best guess. Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to go for this hotel. YellowDog.
  14. estreetgirl - Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post the date for your stay. YellowDog.
  15. Roaderunner, I just did a standard HOTWIRE search (2 adults) for your dates and I'm getting a diffrent hotel. Can you please do a new search to see if your posted hotel still appear. also post how many people you searched for. YellowDog.
  16. luckygyrl8a - Welcome To BetterBidding! There is two "issues" with PRICELINE for LV that posters talk about. 1. Westin 4* in the South strip zone. This hotel is slight of the strip but is a very quick walk. 2. The most recent issue is the 5* Trump in North strip zone. There is no Casino. Please let us know if you're ok with this and we will take it from there. also look at HOTWIRE as an option for your stay. YellowDog.
  17. Can you please post your date (s) for your stay. YellowDog.
  18. grapewater69, Please close your posts with what you did after the board has taken time and answerd you. You need to post your date(s) for this question. YellowDog
  19. Donsyb - Welcome to BetterBidding, do you also see an additional Spa icon when you click on the "see all amenities" link on the next page? YellowDog.
  20. Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a match for the Venetian so that will be my best guess. Please use the boards HOTWIRE link if you decide to book it. Have fun! YellowDog
  21. rsaini, Did you search the hotel webiste for the same dates as the HOTWIRE package. Since there is a festival at the hotel maybe they don't have saturday C/I to break up complete wekeend bookings for this event.
  22. Please keep all posts in one thread since this is for the same date. Admin will edit for correct section. To ID a hotel for future use is not usefull. Hotels come and go all the time. And the amenitie combos also change all the time. When it's time for your next travel could it be that a diffrent hotel uses the amenties that we ID today. And the hotel we ID today uses another combo. Just post when it's time for you next trip and the board will be ready to serve you :) Have nice cruise! YellowDog
  23. insurableinterest, can you please confirm the amenities. Is there also an additional Golf And Tennis icon when you click on the "see all amenities" link on the second page? YellowDog.
  24. Janjan3108 - Welcome to BetterBidding! Yes, the prices fluctuates and hotels come and go. But it is impossible to say what way it will go. Is $108 the only previous price you have seen before or have you keept an eye on this for some time? If you want help with an ID of the hotel so please post the full set of amenities. Feel free to post with any question and please remember to use boards HOTWIRE link Yellowdog.
  25. jdpaul85 - Welcome to BetterBidding! You're are doing a classic rookie misstake here! Let's say you can hit the 3.5* at $31, and you wone the 3* at $30. This is only an example. But if you decide to bid at a lower * level, also lower your bid at the same time. Or you can end up overpaying for a hotel. Sure, maybe this is no biggie for you but you get my point :) Lower * star level = cheaper price most of the times. Have your budgett ready for each * level when you start to bid. It's hard to help you without knowing your date(s) for the stay?? Feel free to post with any question. And please remember to use boards PRICELINE link when bidding YellowDog.
