Here we go again...... I *REALLY* wanted the Residence Inn and thought if I waited closer to day of departure, I'd get it. But, once again I received this Holiday Inn in the Airport Zone( however, I think its closer to downtown). Parking is free though, so hopefully it wont be too bad. I did get it for 4 dollars cheaper this time. I might have been able to get it for 40.00. I should have started there and went up. Oh well, next time. I did use the PRICELINE link.

I gave up on San Rafael and went into the city. I was trying to save $$ on parking as I have a friend who lives in San Rafael and we could park at her place and take the Larkspur ferry into the city. I'll still do that on March 18th( staying at her place the night before) and will take the Ferry back on Sunday. 47$ for the Holiday Inn Fisherman's wharf is pretty reasonable especially if I dont have to pay for parking. Used the information from another poster. Bid 47$ on and was succesful on first try. Used the PRICELINE link. I was bidding for San Rafael because I didnt want to pay for SF parking. Was going to take the Larkspur ferry into the city. I'll still do that, but will stay with a friend on Thursday night and spend 3 nights CAR-FREE in SF.

Ok, I added $2.00 and was succesful for 2 rooms. Holiday Inn Amherst( Buffalo). I wanted this hotel, so I'm happy. As per usual, I used the PRICELINE link.

Started at 38, moved to 40 and 42 adding the free rebidding zones. Last year I was succesful at 42.00 so I dont know whats going on this year.

As always used the PRICELINE link. Started at 37 and unsuccesful. Added Laguna Hills (where I really wanted to stay), and got this. Pretty good price!!

Used PRICELINE link. Needed a room because my flight arrives at 12:45am and I DONT want to drive back to Ontario that late.

Couldnt use the PRICELINE link because my spouse at home bid for me. I was stuck in Detroit( after checking out of the Courtyard) due to weather back home in Canada. It was also too late for me to use the "add a night" feature. I was pleasantly surprised by the Crowne Plaza as this was my first time staying there. . The room was larger and more comfortable than the Courtyard. The customer service was better too. Btw, this is NOT on your hotel list for DTW. It seems as if its a new addition.

Used the PRICELINE link, saw another poster was succesful for 30.00 so I started my bidding at 30.00 too. I need a night before flying out since you now have to be at the airport 3hrs ahead.

Priceline said that this hotel is in the airport zone. I used to live in Long Beach and I know thats its closer to Downtown than to the airport. They wouldnt refund me. I did look at the hotel website and parking is free, but I think I'll wait closer to my departure to bid for my other nights in Long Beach.

I used the PRICELINE link, but wow am I pissed. I specifically bid for the AIRPORT location ONLY and was given a hotel in the downtown area. I didnt want to stay downtown because I dont want to pay for parking. I'm on the phone with Priceline as we speak. I hope they will cancel the reservation. This hotel isnt even on the hotel list!!!

Oh great!! What time is kick-off? We mostly stay away from downtown. We usually shop by the mall, arborland, etc. It will probably be best for me to hit Trader Joe's on Sunday before we leave since that is close to the stadium.

I actually started bidding for Ann Arbor. I tried numerous combinations of 3*, 2.5* and 2*. I topped out at 50 for a 3, but went down to 2.5 and then 2(35.00). I figured there must be a game going on at U of M since the median price for a 3 was quoted as 249.00. I also looked at the Hampton Inn website( my prefered hotel in Ann Arbor) and that was the exact price. I decided to just stay at the airport and commute to Ann Arbor( for shopping and eating out). Its not that far and I could get a better room. I started my bidding at 35.00, received the 9$ counteroffer but rejected that. I closed out the browser, started again and added Taylor Southgate( there are no 3* in that area). I raised the bid to 39.00 and was succesful. As ALWAYS I used the PRICELINE link.

1 night, started with 2.5 @ 35.00. Upped to 36 and added 2* Not sure about this hotel as it is NOT the Extended Stay America Deluxe where I've stayed before. This seems to be a new hotel As per ususal, used the PRICELINE Link.

I did use the PRICELINE link as I mentioned in my post. I finally learned to not just rebid in the email priceline sends me after the 24hrs has elapsed. I came back here to find the link so you'd get credit.

I've been trying for the last 2 weeks. Started @ 18.00, went to 20.00. Rejected. Rejected yesterday at 23.00. Tried 22.00 again and was successful. Used the PRICELINE Link. The lowest rental I found online was a special with Thrifty for 277.00 a week( tax/fees included) This bid saved me about 73.00. Total with tax/fee's is $203.76.

You are quite a ways away from the cruise port. Do you plan on taking a taxi?

Can you rent in FLL and return in MIA with PRICELINE? Thats another thing to consider.

Is there a Resort fee here as well?
