  1. I am wanting to go for Cocoa Beach area, and I see that I have 3 free re-bid zones for that area, since the others don't have 2 1/2 or 3 * places. With discounts i can get a place for around $78. I'm hoping to get it most for $50 (plus taxes and fees). I am traveling 5/9 to 5/11 and will be arriving late. What do you suggest? ~JS
  2. It is a best match to the Hyatt Grand Cypress. Especially since it has children's activities. ~JS
  3. Whenever I do PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, I get the, "did I do something wrong?", feeling after its all over. Only after looking at it several times, I get over it. Anyone else get that feeling? ~JS
  4. Pretty good deal, and I've dealt with them before. I'm not sure if the $2.50 bonus cash ($20 total) helped with it. Total came to $162.68 with taxes and fees. Also Alamo is In-terminal for both, so it will save on the headaches. Also used the PRICELINE affiliate link. I hope I was sucessful with it. ~JS Added: Alamo's base rate w/o discounts or codes is $490.06 total. So pretty nice. Payed 2/3 less!!
  5. Okay, I get this messege when trying to get Fort Myers: "We are unable to recognize the drop-off location you entered" It seems to recognize it, when I enter the airport code. maybe a glitch? ~JS
  6. The 2 * might be the Comfort Inn, but that is only a guess. ~JS
  7. To be certain, HOTWIRE, would be the best way to go with that many. Reason being, is the PRICELINE only guarentees double occupency (sp?), while I believe HOTWIRE, can go with how many people you have. ~JS
  8. Some places don't get won very often, or are just not reported here. If it gets won, then it will likely get updated. Until then, it can only be assumed as correct. ~JS
  9. Okay, I am wanting to do a one way rental (MCO to RSW), use the bonus money option, the board's PRICELINE link, all at the same time. Anyone have an idea on how to do that? ~JS
  10. I got the same question, so I figured it wouldn't be good to start a new thread. I am doing a one way, from Orlando (MCO), to Miami(MIA), their example even. So how do you do it? Also do you get to see all the charges, before they start processing your request (including dropoff fee). ~JS
  11. You might need a car rental, to get to Disney, because not all offer shuttles to the Disney transportation hub. Also it would probably be cheaper to get a car rental if you are going to Ft. Lauderdale. ~JS
  12. Well I bid $40 for a 2 1/2 and $39 for a 2 * and failed. Found a room at Econo Lodge for $45.54 with corporate discount. I wasn't expecting this one, but at least it beats sleeping in the car :). ~JS
  13. The only problem with the Expedia angle, is that Expedia, doesn't do Intercontiental Hotel Group (holiday Inn brand), and you can get thrown, by that, when searching. But those are helpful hints. ~JS
  14. You're lucky, because its very rare to get a refund, because of weather. ~JS
  15. I'm just trying to get something a little nicer, like Fairfield or Hampton. Granted, I would get points the other way, but I wouldn't mind something nicer. ~JS
  16. Days Inn West Fargo, its near the Brother in-law's place. Howard Johnson, nice, but across town. I could also go to Days Inn FargoDome for $60. ~JS
  17. I'm hoping for $40 for 2 1/2*, I guess we'll see. Reason being, is that I can get a room for $50 with my corparate discount. I just hoping for something nicer. ~JS
  18. Trying to bid for Fargo, this weekend and have failed so far. Used SAVINGS BARN. Bid $36 for 2 1/2 stars then bid $35 for 2 star Any help? ~JS
  19. Got it on the first try. I've never stayed here so it should be interesting. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $42.00 Subtotal: $42.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.55 Total Charges*: $54.55 Going rate was $99 ~JS
  20. Well I saw this on StarTribune.com, that is it going bu bye. I've seen many bad reviews about this place on Tripadvisor, so maybe they'll redevelop this to a descent hotel. Especially with the new Twin's Ballpark coming to the area. ~JS
  21. That's what I actually did. It could be another 3* (an upgrade)? I wouldnt be surprised if they upgraded the rest of the marriot flagships (except fairfield). Heck there are 5 Marriot flagship chains within an 1/8 mile of each other. No, I'm not kidding. Used savingsbarn too. ~JS
  22. I guess they upped the ratings of this place. Total with taxes and fees came to $59.02 Amenities include: Complimentary Breakfast <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. ~JS
  23. Must of been having a sale on car rental in DC area (as you can see by my thread). What make of veichle did you get? And what was the break down of your total? ~JS
