  1. I went ahead and booked 4* HOTWIRE Westminster Bridge - London Eye - Vauxhall for $126 Free Internet Business center Fitness center Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Spa services ==> revealed as Park Plaza London Waterloo This was more expensive than the Novotel London Waterloo but this hotel does seem nicer. Thanks for your help.
  2. Finally got around to booking this. I rechecked all the areas above and for the most part prices didn't change too much. Settled on the following: 4* HOTWIRE Louvre - Vendome - Concorde for $130 Free Internet Pet Friendly Fitness Restaurant ==> Novotel Paris Les Halles Decided to extend this leg of the trip one extra night because the feedback I'd been getting was that there's more to see in France than London. Thanks for your help. going to book London leg in a sec.
  3. Hello. Looking for a decent area in France to do the normal touristy type stuff. 2 adults/1 Teen 4* Paris, France Open to suggestions regarding zone - Currently looking at 'Louvre - Vendome' & 'Eiffel' 12/17 to 12/22 Here are a couple that I found. Any suggestions? 4* Hotwire - Louvre Vendome 12/17 to 12/22 $132/nt Amenities Free Internet, Fitness center, Pet friendly, Restaurant(s) 4* Hotwire - Eiffel 12/17 to 12/22 $108.83/nt Amenities Free internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower 4* Hotwire - Opera Garnier 12/17 to 12/22 $135/nt Amenities Free internet, Smoke-free rooms The 3 hotels listed are poorly rated though 4* Hotwire - North of Champs Elysees 12/17 to 12/22 $132/nt Amenities Free internet 4* Hotwire - Bastille Republique 12/17 to 12/22 $105/nt Amenities Fitness center, Internet access, Smoke-free rooms
  4. Great information...thank you. I listed the hotels above because I thought they would be in desirable areas, but thank you for your guidance on the overall scores of 7+/85%+. Of the options you listed I like the one below the best! I will most likely book after I figure out my Paris Leg (and will reply with my final decision). I'll create another post for that but will close this one out after I book. Thank you! 4* HOTWIRE Westminster Bridge - London Eye - Vauxhall for $98 Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Deaf Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible ==> revealed as Novotel London Waterloo... similar locations as to above
  5. Any guesses on what this hotel could be? 4* Bloomsbury - Marble Arch - Kings Cross Station 12/22 thru 12/26 $120/nt Free Internet Available No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Fitness Center Handicapped Rooms/Facilities Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Access It looks like the Crowne Plaza London Kings Cross in the same region is $96/nt. Is this a good deal? I also see some 'Private Rental' options for $100-110/nt. I kind of like the idea of a kitchen but are these units sketchy?
  6. Hi. Thanks for the reply. I will take your advice on choosing 1 of the 4 zones you listed above and looking for a 'Bed Choice'. My expected budget is around $130/nt for the London leg.
  7. My first time traveling to Europe with a family of 3 (including me). 4* 12/17 thru 12/26 France leg of trip: 12/17 thru 12/22 London leg: 12/22 thru 12/26 I have no idea which region I should stay in so I'm looking for general recommendations. The priceline express deals I'm seeing look pretty affordable. Paris ~$120 and London ~$85-90 per night. Which regions are most family friendly and which hotels are generally close to a metro station? We're looking to do the usual touristy type stuff so I'm sure we'll be using the train often. For example, I see the following hotel in the Chelsea area. This seems too good to be true. 4.5* London / Chelsea - Stamford Bridge Stadium 12/22 thru 12/26 $89/nt Free Internet Available Pets Allowed No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Fitness Center Handicapped Rooms/Facilities Spa Restaurant Free Internet Access Also, I have a 14 year old. Do they really charge for more than 2 people to stay in a room if we're sleeping in the same bed?
  8. Thanks. I went ahead and booked this deal and you were correct, it was the Westin. 3 nights, $230 per night. Taxes were $202.96 taking it to $892.96. I'll be paying an $87 resort fee directly to the hotel. I tried to get a 4.5* using Priceline bidding but all my bids were declined so this seems like a decent deal. Thanks for your help.
  9. Thanks for the reply. Yes, Times Square is the most desired location. My travel companions have never been and want to spend a significant amount of time in the middle of the hustle and bustle. But we are open to Times Square/Rockefeller...anywhere within walking distance of the Theater District. I took your advice and am using the BiddingHelper tool. I see the Hotwire deal below. Any idea which hotel this is? 4.5* Times Square 11/30 thru 12/03 $230 Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly The trip total equals $980.11 with Tax recovery charges + fees and the resort fee. Funny enough, the $199 deal I was asking about last week had a similar trip total as this 4.5* deal. How accurate is the trip total displayed on the hotwire website? Are there any other hidden charges? Thanks again. This site has been very helpful.
  10. Hello! I need some help figuring out which hotel this is. Trying to avoid Yotel because of the horror stories on yelp. Thank you in advance! Traveling to Times Square and I see this Hotwire express deal: 4* Times Square 11/30 thru 12/03 $195 Free Internet, Fitness center, Business center and more
