  1. Extremely pleased with this purchase based on location and suspicions it is team hotel for visiting MLB teams, on top of price. Was nervous booking since this hotel hadn't been reported on this site that I could find, but using resources and moderator help, it worked out. Thanks and used the board PRICELINE link/discount code for this purchase. PRICELINE EXPRESS Downtown Cincinnati Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  2. Similar post in Hotwire thread, but trying to determine the hotel before making purchase. $108, 9/19-9/23. the only reported win has been the Cincinattian Hotel in the hotel list. Trying to determine if hotel may be that, Westin, or Hyatt Regency... PRICELINE EXPRESS Downtown Cincinnati Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  3. Thanks. That was going to be my guess, but wanted to gin thoughts on if it might be Hyatt Regency. Hoping for Westin with it being anitipated as a team hotel for Cardinals. this is the Hyatt traditional items outright purchase: Airport Shuttle, Business Center, Pet Friendly, Elevator/Lift, Indoor pool(s), pools, restaurant, accessible bathroom, in-room accessibility, roll-in shower.
  4. Not a lot of history in Cincy. Trying to determine this 4* Downtown Cincinnati 90% rated hotel for $112 9/19-9/23 with these amenities: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. Any help is much appreciated! TK
  5. Staying in NOLA for the night before cruise and wanted to stay close to port. Based on rsearch it looked like the amenities listed were for Hilton Riverside and snagged it at $107 ($138 with fees). Please with this win. My parents were also looking to book and I will share win separately. Ammenities: Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower i tried using link from bidding helper three times and kept getting rejected message at payment gateway from HOTWIRE. Finally was able to book going through Hotwire regular route. Sorry we couldn't help you out on this purchase.
  6. Been monitoring prices for a couple months and prices have consistently been high for this weekend. It appears Kansas City Comicon is in town and it appears there may be low vacancy. We were going to stay part way on our travels to KC and only stay Fri/Sat, as prices were $133/Night. I ended up adding Thursday and it dropped rate to $85/Night (essentially a 'free' night) and thought I better jump on it. I may have jumped gun in end, as I am a risk taker, but I'll take this. Amenities: which accurately matched what was expected as the Sheraton Suites Country Club Plaza Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  7. Very pleased with the provided 2.5* hotel, as we got the Holiday Inn Express Mag Mile at $73/Night for 4/7-4/9 ($177.78 after tax/fees with $10 promo). We go to Chicago about six times/year and look to price/reviews over ratings. Had watched prices over last several weeks and didn't see much movement and know there is a Women's Expo, Poli Sci conference, and NCAA Frozen Four. Purchased tonight not anticipating hotel prices to host down with higher rated hotels with the first teams knowing they are Frozen Four bound. FULL AMENITIES: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. I used the the BB HOTWIRE link. As a side note, Holiday Inn Express is listed as a 3.5* on the Hotwire Hotel Lists - Illinois. I was hopeful this was the hotel, as it was the hotel that was on par with the aforementioned amenities. If you need verification of the selection/star rating, I would be happy to provide. Thank you, as always, for this fantastic site.
  8. AaronJB, Thank you so much for your reply. I am sorry for the delay in my reply, as I was letting things ride for this stay, as we go to Chicago about 6 times/year. We ended up booking a 2.5* at $73.00 as we are just looking for a place to sleep and with decent reviews. Ended up with the Holiday Inn Express Mag Mile. I will post win separately, but wanted to close this thread.
  9. Hello, looking for some assistance in figuring out a couple places, both four stars. Looking to stay 4/7-4/9 and realized too late in hoping to find better price, as it looks like the NCAA Frozen Four and a Women's Expo (20k) is in town. Chicago Water Tower, 4* 75% Recommended, which scares me. $77/night. In reading the hotel feedback, sounds like it is an older hotel building, but wasn't able to see match in the hotel list: -Pet Friendly -Boutique -Smoke-free -fitness center -Restaurants -Business Center -Internet Access -Golf Nearby -Children's activities AND McCormick Place - South Loop, 4*, 95% recommended, $84/night Free Internet Business center Fitness center Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms Any help is appreciated!
  10. Good afternoon, A major FYI: It appears Hotwire has just recently changed their Zone coverage for Downtown Chicago. It looks like they expanded Chicago (Magnificent Mile - Water Tower) to now cover the Eastern half of what was (Magnificent Mile Area - River North). The new area, Western part of the former Mag Mile - River North is now "Downtown Chicago - River North". I hope this information is very helpful, especially those who are currently bidding on Chicago, as it changes the complexity of wins, etc. Side note, I tried logging into my old account (TwinsFan), but was not able to. I clicked on the reset password, but was not sent an email to reset password... Thanks for reviewing!
