  1. Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower
  2. Hotwire said the hotel had a free breakfast and a pool and it would be one of four hotels: Kinzie Hotel, Embassy Suites Chicago-Downtown, State and Grand by BridgeStreet, or Hotel Felix. Neither Kinzie Hotel nor Hotel Felix has a pool. State and Grand by BridgeStreet has a pool but no free breakfast so by process of elimination it had to be Embassy Suites Chicago-Downtown and it was. With taxes and fees - $63.79.
  3. Booked through the BetterBidding Site HOTWIRE link. 90% recommended Amenities: Business center, Fitness center, Internet access, Restaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms, Tennis nearby. Accessibility: Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. With taxes and fees - $85.17
  4. Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
  5. Amenities: Boutique hotel, business center, golf nearby, Internet access, pet friendly, pool(s), restaurant(s), smoke-free rooms, spa services. I like the feature in Hotwire that shows what the previous person got (which was the Swissotel) and because there are not many other 4* boutique hotels in the MP area with a pool, I was confident I would also get the Swissotel. Chicago hotels are a bargain over the Christmas holiday and am excited to be staying here again. Began my bidding with linking to HOTWIRE on the betterbidding.com site.
  6. Started at $50 for a 4* in River North. Rejected and kept the price the same and dropped to 3 1/2* and got the Hotel Indigo. With taxes and fees - $63.45. Began the bidding using the Priceline link on betterbidding.com.
  7. The correct date for this bid was Sunday, September 27. I was checking out the room rates for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday since I have flexibility on when I can go and Sunday rates are significantly less expensive than Friday or Saturday.
  8. Began bidding with site's PRICELINE link. Initially bid $55 for 4* O'Hare South since I saw a 4* O'Hare South for $61 on Hotwire's link. Rejected but Priceline said to increase bid by $17 and I would be successful. Kept bidding at $55 and added McCormick Place and O'Hare North. Both bids were rejected. Then lowered star level to 3 1/2 stars and got the Hyatt Rosemont. Am happy with the choice. Have stayed there in the past. Free parking and a shuttle to the airport. It is about a half-hour walk from the Rosemont CTA station. With taxes and fees - $69.36.
