Bad Bidding today. Was hoping for Magnolia or Hilton ended up with the Doubletree Southwest, 10 minute further west. Hotel website offers a discount rate of $81 for HHonors sale. Sometimes you win, sometimes not so much.

Staying Sat., 2/6-2/8 full 1 room, 3.5 star, winning PRICELINE bid $61 for Omaha Marriott, 10220 Regency Circle, Omaha NE, 68114

Renting 2/6-2/8 full size suv (chevy tahoe?) winning PRICELINE bid $60 with Avis.

Took a couple days of trying and finessing, closed springhill suite, $139 (if i remember correctly) rack rate, for $58/ room x 2 rooms for the a th night - sunday morning stay.

Needed a 7 passenger something, orbitz came in at $73 for almost everybody for a minivan, a few more for a full size suv. Bid $44 for the suv, then $49, no luck. Rejection screen offered a sponsored offer of 61 for a mini or 68 for an suv. Changed car type to mini, tried $44, got a suggestion screen that I try $51, tried 49 instead. Closed the deal. This is the weekend after labor day, may be a slow travel week, but one man's experience.
