Can you help ID this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer?

    Pets Allowed

    Business Center

    Restaurant

    Free Internet

    Indoor or Outdoor Pool

    Fitness Center

I have a hunch its the Holiday Inn Civic Centre - what do you think?

    Thanks

  2. Hi there,

Just looking for some advice and suggestions for a hotel (3* and better) in the the San Fran downtown/union sq/Embarcardero/Wharf area.

I've noticed a few people getting 4* hotels for around $110-$120 in late Nov/Dec. In my searches so far, I haven't found anything even close to these prices.

Just after any advice on the best possible deal/bargain for a good hotel in San Fran for those dates. I have a budget of around $175/night but hoping to get something for less if at all possible.

    Thanks

  3. Damn - you're right - It's gone.

Any other suggestions for a really good bargain around the Midtown/TS/CP areas? Happy to look at 3* star options now as well?

I'm hesitant on the 4* suggestion that was previously suggested in the thread because the mandatory USD 22/night fee is so unnecessary. I'll be booking 2 rooms as well so I'm trying to find a better deal.

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

Can you help ID this one from Price.line:

3 Star Hotel in Times Square - Theatre District Area - $171/night

    Guaranteed Amenities:

    Restaurant

    Fitness Center

I've checked the hotel lists and etc I'm guessing its the Tryp by Wyndham Times Square.

    What do you think?

I'm leaning towards booking this instead of the other 4 star suggestion based on the review, provided this is most likely the Tryp by Wyndham.

    Thanks

  5. Hi,

I can't remember any other amenities, I copied and pasted the entire list I had.

I notice the hotel above charges a mandatory fee of USD 22/night in addition to the rates. I've noticed Resort Fees when I did my Vegas booking but didnt realize this was in effect in NYC as well. Is this normal or just for this particular hotel?

No desire to sta in the same previous hotel and would rather stay in a different area for the additional nights and the preference is for CP, Midtown and Times Sq or anyone in that region.

Do you reckon that this is the best possible deal to score for those dates even with the mandatory fee?

    Thanks

  6. Thanks for your help. Ended up booking a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at $189/night in Lower East Side inc Free Breakfast. I chose this area to avoid areas which will be affected by the NY Marathon on 01/11. Was hoping to get the 3.5 star Wyndham but ended up getting the Comfort Inn. Pretty disappointed with the result based on the reviews on tripadvisor.

Ended up booking from 31/10 to 03/11. Will now try searching for another hotel from 03/11 to 05/11. I'll start another thread for that.

    Thanks for your help

  7. Hi,

It's pretty odd then. I'm searching in USD as well and referring to the rates before taxes. Have a look at the following link:

    <link removed>

For $219/night from the 31/10 to 04/09 I'm getting a hotel in the "Empire State Building Area" at 80% recommended. - This can't be the Broadway area hotels you mentioned?

On the Holiday Inn in East Village, I'm getting it at $197/night - East Village - Lower East Side Hotel at 100% recommended.

Another question I had was, is it better to perhaps wait a few more weeks before locking down accomodation down through sites like Priceline/Hotwire. Will there be better deals closer to the date of the stay in your experience?

    Thanks for the assistance
