  1. AMENITIES: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities (The hotel prices are insane between 5/16 and 5/18! But I am happy to get this hotel in Brooklyn, although it takes a bit to get to manhattan)
  2. Amenities: Pet Friendly Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Handicap Accessible Business Center (Very happy with the deal but the hotel charges a $44 resort fee)
  3. This deal seems to be sold out at the moment. Amenities: Pet Friendly Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Handicap Accessible Business Center
  4. I found Intercontinental on Hot.wire (one has to search the hotel name in order to find this hotel now) and like Aron previously stated, it seems to be recently updated to a 4.5 stars and hence it is still gathering reviews, which matches the hot rate deal closely. Considering this, I probably won't risk this. Though I am still confused that if that is the case, it obviously will not take 47% off the retail prices as the Hot Rate deal indicated; in Price.line, this is less of a problem because it always clearly states how much you save (and if it goes wrong you can argue with PL)
  5. I will probably just go for it since the price is fair. But I wonder can I argue with Hot.wire, for example, if in this case I get Intercontinental but it is not listed as a 4.5 stars in Hotwire (since Intercontinental is not ideal for me)?
  6. Thanks for your update! I really thought it must be L'Ermitage since it is the only *4.5 stars on the list. But I also thought that it would be too cheap for L'Ermitage. The full amenities are: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I am more familiar with Price.line than Hot.wire. But when I checked the standard hotels list, Intercontinental is listed as four stars (does this rule it out?) and the standard rate is lower than the original price in the hot rate I quoted. The price just rose to $203. If it is L'Ermitage I will go for it immediately!
  7. FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, and Accessible for visually impaired Price: $195 (48%off, orginally $376) Help ID Thanks!
  8. I guess I can't guarantee, since average Manhattan hotels do not meet my requirement. Should I wait for better offer then?
  9. Right, the hotel was built in 2013 so it can not possibly be old. We must have a room larger than 200ft (ideally 250ft), and then we want it to be close to midtown or downtown, our budget is $250 pre-tax. We are going to stay in May. Should we wait and see if there will be better offer? Now it seems impossible to find one below $250 that will also meet our needs. But meanwhile I also worry that since mid-May is close to graduation, the hotel prices may rise.
  10. That's true. The room size of Courtyard Marriot TS West is around 280ft, but the interior looks pretty old from the pics
  11. Thanks! And I got the reply from PL, they say the 34% is correct. Also, I don't really like Four Points Sheraton Midtown because their cheapest room is kinda tiny, about 200ft I will guess it is Courtyard, since the estimated resale price is closer to the saving rate
  12. Restaurant, Fitness Center, Free Internet, Business Center Rating:8+ Price: 225/night Discount: this is where it goes weird: on the Exp list, it says "save 28%", but when I clicked in the booking list, it became "save 34%". This can mean two different hotels, right!? Booking period: May 11-14
  13. I just got the Venetian through ED for a two-night stay on May/21~23, for the price of 125$, all exclusive Venetian is the minimum I guess. But I am satisfied.
  14. Right. These luxury hotels do not really differ in basic amenities. In fact, it does not really matter which one I get in the end, if it comes from one of the five hotels shown in the "what hotel" drop-down list (but Priceline also states there is a possibility that it may NOT come from the hotels in that list and in fact I will have to accept whatever they give me as long as the very vague decription matches, i.e. 5 stars, has all the amenities...)
  15. Thanks for your reply! Amenities: pool, casino, restaurant, fitness center, business center, free parking Rating: 8+; Five stars Ps: If trying to calculate the "retail price" is not a reliable way to determine the hotel then it becomes a bit more problematic...
  16. Can someone help me figure out if this hotel I want to bid is Venetian? Info (PRICELINE EXPRESS): Date:Mon,May 18/19, one night Bid Price: $248/per night (it is kinda pricey but we can only spend that day there); Discount: save 35% or more Amenities: with casino and without free wifi Because there are only five potential hotels (as indicated by Priceline via "what hotels") and the only two that are close in terms of price are Palazzo ($409) and Venetian ($399), it is 50/50 at least!
