Didn't catch the amenities, but it's the only 4-star west of the strip (Palms is 4.5 star). Knew what I was getting and that's a fair price!
$22 resort fee expected.
The Palms is a 4* and the Palms Place is a 4.5*.
2.) Hot Rate Hotel - 3.5* Price is $58.00 per night (43% off from $102). Amenities when I open are; Free Parking, Free Internet, Pet Friendly, Indoor Pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center. It is 85% recommended on 68 total reviews, 3.5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor.
I think there is a good chance this is the Crown Plaza hotel as they have an indoor pool.
Bid this @ $36, $37, and won at $38 per night for the two night stay. $94.20 for both nights total, booking direct would have been $150, ($67 per night).
They booked through LMT Club for this trip. Thanks!!!!!
Thanks to all that posted, I didn't know about the BiddingHelper.com tool until I was reading old posts last night. Great tool, keep up the great work! This is for a friend and I will post the results when they decide to make a move.
June 6 & 7 Scottsdale AZ (North Scottsdale) 4.5* $62 per night. free parking, free internet, resort, per friendly, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center.
Thanks in advance
I saw it on the regular booking side when trying to match blind hotels.
Wyndham San Diego Bayside is now rated a 3.5* on Hotwire.
You have two things going against you here, NHRA drag racing is in town and so is The PBR at Thomas & Mack.
Your problem is that this is the time of year they want all the cars in Phoenix for our winter visitors. Romelle's plan is going to be your best bet, but the drive is 5-6 hours one way. If you can't get a cheap one way flight try to priceline a round trip and throw the return away.
To late to help you but it may help others. We parked at the Colma Bart station for three days last year. It was dirt cheap and I just road the Bart to the hyatt regency front doors. I think you have to print your overnight parking pass at home. Sure beats $40 per night parking downtown if you don't need the car for a few days.
This is a great resort and you got a steal at $55+20.
I think sooner or later you will get something in the ranges you have been given. It all comes down to how long you want to wait to secure your rooms. Myself I would have something booked as a backup that can be canceled and keep bidding the way you have been. I would also watch HOTWIRE each day to see if rates have dropped.
If you're truly flexible, i would start with Sept thru November... you can search HOTWIRE, Expedia, etc to see rates for this generally 'low season', compare to the Xmas season (to see what 'high season' prices are right)... then search other dates which make work for your needs and see where they fall within the range.Once you're ready to move forward with a more concrete date range let us know and we'll investigate further.
Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
High season is any holiday or when kids are out of school.
Rates on HOTWIRE don't look very high for your dates. I would stay between $130 and $150 for a while.
I don't think its going to do you any good to call The Hotel. They are the reason you are getting this email, not HOTWIRE. I myself would cancel the reservation if I could still get a good rate somewhere else.
The HOTWIRE 4* with Casino is the Fort McDowell Radisson and not a bad hotel. If you need to be by the Marriott Desert Ridge it might be more of a drive then you are looking for.
When bidding 5* you can use all zones without 5* hotels as rebids, resort is under 5*.
Your stuck, this is why you never use a zone that has a star rating at or higher then the zone and star you are bidding! There is always a chance you will be upgraded when you do.
This is not a bad resort and is much better then some in the zone you were bidding.
