  1. If some one at Hawaiian airlines said they interline bags with continential then you will have no problem with times. Just make sure they check the bags all the way through and not just to HNL at the airport.
  2. I don't think you will be able to check your bags all the way to NY either. If I were you I would call Hawaiian airlines and see if they interline baggage with your mainland airline. If they don't It could take you some time to get your bags claimed, rechecked and clear securitiy again. You will also need to run the bags through the Agricultural inspection before you can even check them. If you try all this when there are a few mainland flights leaving you are not going to make it.
  3. No you can't bid for just Mandalay Bay. You are bidding for a zone and star level only.
  4. Some one just won the Sheraton for Jan 31-Feb 7 and it was at a bid of $120.
  5. With a flight arriving into hnl at 7:35 pm I think I would hit another island on the tail end of your trip. If you try to make a connection that late and anything goes wrong you would be hosed.
  6. Please see another island over the seven days. Go see Maui; it is a lot of fun and much more relaxed then Honolulu. You are going to be disappointed if you stay on HNL for all seven days. There are some good specials on inter island flights. What airline are you flying? Try to book you inter island flight on the same airline so you can have them check your bags all the way through on one of the flights. I always spend my last few days on HNL to make sure there is no chance that I miss my flight to the mainland.
  7. If you need bedding for three people you need to use HOTWIRE or take a big chance with PRICELINE that you get two beds. A lot of hotels in Vegas will give you two beds but they want to charge you more $$.
  8. Looks like no bid is safe from the Trump anymore. PRICELINE is pushing 5* Strip business to HOTWIRE by including the Trump in the Strip zone.
  9. You can ride the Bart from SFO or OAK to the Embarcadero area and get a cab from there. You could also take a shuttle for around $20 per person. Parking in San francisco is just out of control. Last time I was there I paid $40 per night. I don't think you will have a problem finding a rental can in the area. Most major hotels have desks in their lobbys. You might also want to see the Golden Gate Bridge. The tour of Alcatraz is also a great fun thing to see, and it does not cost that much. If you go make sure you get the audio tour. Also buy the tickets online early before you go as June is high season and you won't get tickets at the window, trust me on this one. http://www.bart.gov/index.aspx
  10. Can you please list all of the amenities of the 5* you see?
  11. Was there no pool icon as has been reported before?
  12. Looks like a match for the Wynn. If you don't book for 3-4 people there is a chance you will only get one bed. No you can't cancel if you don't like the hotel even with insurance.
  13. Some one reported winning the Venetian @ $80 for some of your nights. If you have not bought yet you might want to try a $80 bid. We have not seen the Trump as a winning bid yet for less then $100.
  14. If this was my stay I would use HOTWIRE and target the Scottsdale Hyatt or the Princess resort. Bidding resort on PRICELINE could get you the Scottsdale Resort & Conference center. The point resorts that someone else brought up are ok but older hotels.
  15. March is Spring break and college basketball season. This one might cost a lot more by waiting, but this is just my thoughts on the matter.
  16. You can't pick hotels. You are going to win what ever hotel PL has for sale at the time you bid, if you bid high enough.
  17. Don't forget to budget a extra $50 in resort fees for this hotel.
  18. Can you please post your dates? The Trump is also a hotel that could come up at 5*.
  19. The hotel sets their own rates and gives PRICELINE access to so many rooms.
  20. From looking at the vacation packages I think it could be the Intercontinental Montelucia Resort and Spa?
  21. This is a great resort with outstanding customer service, good to see it on HOTWIRE. If you have never stayed here use the bellman with the golf cart, this place is huge.
  22. I like the Palazo and Venetian my self as I find the Bellagio a little stuffy for my likes. I would try a $80 bid for one of these hotels. We have not seen the Trump accept a bid @ less then $100 yet. Remember the Trump could still come up if they lowered their PRICELINE rate but this could be your first Las Vegas bet. :)
  23. I have stayed here many times paying regular rate with Hyatt status and never seen the water from my room, so don't count on a great upgrade.
