  1. Thank You. I just booked it and indeed it was the Hacienda Encantada Resort... that is a great deal. Thank you!!
  2. I needed to follow up on this last post. I realize it's a little late. I was too nervous to book this so we actually just went with a little motel we had stayed at before. In hindsight...I would have preferred the condo. I should have booked. The motel was a little "sketchy". I will never do that again.

  5. I ended up booking the $60 hotel, just thinking that American Inn is right near where I need to be Friday morning if that was the hotel. In fact, that was the winner. American Inn for 3 Stars! I have not stayed in this one but reviews look promising, so should sleep okay there!

I'm guessing "Quality Inn"...perhaps? I will be bidding shortly and let you know. Michelle
  7. I did go back and explain what happened with that bid, we ended up not staying. I'm hoping to book this Middleton room for tomorrow...any help on this bid?
  8. In the end, we decided NOT to spend the night. It was not Hotwire specific, it was due to a child illness. We needed to get him home that night to get his meds. :( . I generally DO book from HOTWIRE and use it exclusively for one night stays, but in this case, we could not book . We waited until the day of and then he got sick, so it was a good call that we didn't book ahead that time.
  9. There's this one too. More expensive, but if any of this would be the Hilton Garden Inn, then I would definitely go ahead with it. 36% off 3* Madison West area hotel 95% recommended $99 per night Book now Hotel features Complimentary Free InternetFree breakfastFree parking Amenities Business centerFitness centerIndoor pool(s)Pet friendlyPool(s)Smoke-free rooms
  10. Hello, I need to go up to Middleton, WI often. I'm trying to determine my best bet when bidding for one single night. Starting with THIS THURSDAY'S date, the 3rd, for one night. I'm debating between these two: 49% off 3* Madison West - Middleton area hotel 95% recommended $60 per night Hotel features Complimentary Free InternetFree parking Amenities Airport shuttleBusiness centerFitness centerIndoor pool(s)Pool(s)Restaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms And then this one.. 41% off 3* Madison West area hotel 90% recommended $60 per night Hotel features Complimentary Free InternetFree breakfastFree parking Amenities Business centerFitness centerIndoor pool(s)Pet friendlyPool(s)Smoke-free rooms
  11. Sorry, I tried to reply from my phone and that did not work. We bid for this for Tonight, November 24th and ended up with the Marriott at Eagle Crest. We used to stay here years ago, and it's always been very comfortable, so we were happy thats' where we ended up. We got a great room for $107 bidding, $127 or so with taxes and fees. Still, works for us! THANK YOU!!!
  12. THANK YOU!!! We were going to try for Friday of this week, as we have tickets to a show down there. However, not sure we want to book. We only live 1.5 hours away so may try to head home. We will likely do it that afternoon once we decide, as we head back from Michigan. I will post if we end up staying, and I will search Milennium Park-Loop if we stay.
  13. We are checking Hotwire for tonight in Ann Arbor. It's showing a 3.5 star for $107 with 95% liking it. Complimentary Free Internet Free parking Amenities Business center Fitness center Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Any idea??
  14. What area would any of you suggest booking on hotwire when going to the Chicago Theater. I'm not familiar with that area and I'd like to stay as close to that as possible.
  15. So...we booked hte 3.5 star as described here. HOWEVER, we waited until 5 days prior when we were on the ship. We ended up getting this 3.5 star for $106. It ended up to be the COURTYARD by MARRIOTT. It was FANTASTIC!! We actually stayed at the 5 star Vanderbilt on the front end of the cruise and were highly disappointed with that hotel. The Couryard was slightly less fancy but WAY more comfortable and appealing in all aspects. For $106, it was quite a bargain for our familiy of 4. I'd go back there in a heartbeat and stay right there!!
  16. So there's this 3.5 star for $230 in Isla, with the following ammenities: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Beachfront hotel, Casino, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access or, for $274 there is this 4 star on isla, with the following ammentities: FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Beachfront hotel, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Then, there's this 4 star in Condado for $130 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Casino, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Trying to decide if it's worth the added $$ to be on Isla. We will be 2 days before cruise in Condado so that's why I was thinking of doing Isla. Just curious on recommendations or thoughts to what these properties are.
  17. Ahaa. Good to know. Just bookmarked that. I didn't realize that site existed. Do you have any thoughts on the hotel available for April 5th then ...??
  18. I was waiting because up until yesterday, I was still looking for those nights in case something opened. I explained in more detail on the follow up to that post. In the end, we didn't use Hotwire for the two nights prior to the cruise because we got a deal we couldn't pass up on Hotels..com but we will definitely be using Hot.wire for the tail end of the cruise, just for that one night. Sorry about that.
  19. Usually, we end up using Hot.wire, but as I continued to watch Hotwire, I was fairly certain that the hotel we'd get was the Sheraton and wasn't 100% sure we wanted it. I ultimately, got on to Hotels..com and found a discount/special for $100 or more a night. We ended up getting the Condado Vanderbilt at $225/night, but then used this $50 coupon on the reservation, so ended to be $200 a night. Normally this hotel is $400 a night so we couldn't pass it up. I booked this, then continued to watch Hot.wire in case something else opened, but never saw it and now we're committed with our reservation. Had I found something on Hotwire earlier in the week, we could have still cancelled the Hotels..com room, but now we will go with it. Hoping to find something for the tail end of the trip now on Hotwire, because the Vanderbilt is showing a best rate of $375, which is too high after a 7 day cruise.
  20. I'm searching Hotwire for a hotel for ONE night, April 5th. Four two adults and two kids. Looking at this 3.5 star with 95% recommend. Any thoughts what that would be??
  21. YES. It is there right now. When you search those dates for 2 adults 2 children, it shows up for $241, 4 star and 85% recommend. Trying to figure out what that may be. I hoped to book soon, but keep waiting for something else in Isla to Pop open. Otherwise, pretty good feeling which one is the Sheraton at Conado and will book that if nothing else opens up on Isla. Last week, a few times it opened on Isla and I didn't nab it. So, I want to wait and watch. However, if I can try to figure out what this one is listed today and yesterday, that I'm describing I could possibly decide. Just not sure what it might be. It's not Interconinental with that 85%. What else could it be??
  22. There is a NEW one listed now for SJU. There is now a 4 star in Isla Verde, but it is only 85% recommended (different than the 90% I saw last week). Here are the full ammenities: FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Beachfront hotel, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Any thought on what this one is?? Trying to decide if I book the 4star in Cononado or this one. I am planning to watch for a week or so and then bid.
  23. Any ideas on this one. There is now a 4 star in Isla Verde, but it is only 85% recommended (different than the 90% I saw last week). Here are the full ammenities: FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Beachfront hotel, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Any thought on this one?? I am planning to watch for a week or so and then bid.
  24. YES! It's still there, but I see it's now gone up to $221 a night for same nights. Interesting how that changed in the last couple of hours. I will not be booking then, I'll hold off a couple of days and watch the rates. Seems to be on then off then on then off.
  25. So, today I see a 4 star in Isla Verde for $195 (regulary 292) with the following amenities (based on bidding helper expanded view). FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Beachfront hotel, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 90% recommend. What is your thought on what this is? Any recommendation between this option and the Sheraton in Condado??
