I tried $50 for a 2.5 in Neptune, was rejected (they recommended adding $12, but I knew about the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal already). So I tried adding a 3 star plus the Tinton Falls area, still rejected. So for the $10 I just took the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal--still a good price, I think.

I did try to low ball the same area, Cranston-Warwick for 2.5* at $33 and they declined--and suggested the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal. So I added Coventry and went up to $37, still declined. I used a 10% off coupon so I got it for $41 without bidding. It was a good bargain for a holiday weekend, and the hotel had a lot of amenities, but it was a bit shabbier than other 2.5s I've had like Doubletrees. Just old, and noisy--I could see the Southwest gates from my window. Caveat emptor- earplugs! ;) Amenities - Free parking, internet, breakfast (very good), airport shuttle, fitness room, no bed choice listed. It was clean and staff very helpful.
