  1. These are the amenities listed when I click on the Reservation Information section of the My Account tab for this booking: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. Am I missing something? Next time I'll remember to use the new features. They sound great.
  2. Happy with this win, especially since it is a busy travel time (Remembrance Day long weekend). Room was $100.95 CAD and taxes/ fees $29.35 CAD. Amenities as follows: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. It's been a while since I've been here and it took a while to find my way around again. Thanks for the continuous improvements...and of course I booked through your HOTWIRE link.
  3. Apologies for the late reply. Thanks for the tip about camo and how to find the additional amenities. I'll do so in future p.s. I forgot to mention that I used your HOTWIRE link to obtain the property.
  4. oh what the heck, we're only staying for one night, so I went ahead and booked. This will be a new one for your Hotwire Hotel Listing. In addition to the nightly charge, Hot.wire tax recovery charges and fees were CAD32.80. Though I haven't stayed in this property previously, friends have, and were quite satisfied while paying considerably more. This is an ideal spot if one is in transit. It can be quite difficult to get a one-night-stay in Barbados during the peak season. Many hotels have a three night minimum. I also looked up the Price.line non-opaque listing for Silver Point - the cost, including fees, was about $10 higher
  5. I am hoping for your help in identifying this Hotwire property. Amenities are -free parking -free internet -boutique hotel -near beach -pool(s) -restaurant(s) -self service laundry -golf nearby. 100% recommended by Hotwire customer reviews . CAD169 per night or USD155 Thank you.
  6. This was my first time using your easy view tool. Very cool. For Dec 29 at MCO for one night your tool showed a 4 star at $90US with these amenities: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access This list matched both the Hyatt Regency and the Renaissance. Since I was happy with either, I went ahead and booked on line through your link. But the transaction did not go through though I tried several times. So I phoned Hotwire. The agent I spoke to was not able to put the transaction through and said there must be a problem with my credit card. So I phoned the credit card company who confirmed there was NO problem with my cc and sent me back to Hotwire. The new Hotwire agent also had trouble putting the card through using the Hotwire booking reference I had been given with the first attempt. She then did a check on the Hotwire system and discovered that the reason the transaction had not been completed the first time around was that the rate had increased by $2 while I was in the middle of the process. At any rate, I did go ahead with the new price which is $92 US, still a pretty good deal, I think. With taxes and fees the total comes to $113.97. It's at the Renaissance MCO. I'm just sorry that because of this snafu, I ended up completing the deal by phone rather than through your link. For future reference, do you know whether there is any way to distinguish the Renaissance from the Hyatt? also, just a note that I found the Hotwire agents to be professional, helpful and knowledgeable.
  7. Hope I am not out of line in posting this but...I thought I'd let members know that I just booked a one bedroom suite at the Murray Hill Suites Hotel - master bedroom with two double beds, living/dining room with pull out sofa-double bed, full kitchen - for three adults for the period Nov 25 (arrive) to December 1 (leave). The amount paid totalled $2305.74US covering $1810 for the room, $120 for extra person fees, $361.74 for taxes and service fees. This works out to about $128 per person per day, which compares favourably to the offerings I looked at on Hotwire (through this site, of course) Because there are three of us, we did not want the regular Murray Hill open plan suite (36 square metres) where you have to go through the bedroom area to get to the bathroom. By contrast, the one bedroom suites (56 square metres) have a separate master bedroom and equal access to the bathroom from both the living room and the master bedroom. Only the regular suites are available on-line through Hotwire, Priceline, Expedia, etc. To book the one larger bedroom suites one has to call the hotel (not so easy because there is no website) or call a third party agency...which is what I did (and then called the hotel to make sure everything was ok at their end). The hotel also said that the rate I got through the third party was better than the one I would have received if booking with them directly. :) The hotel also has larger Executive Suites with balconies which can only be reserved through the hotel itself. I've stayed at Murray Hill before and found it to be a perfectly adequate, if somewhat dowdy, place to stay. The location is great, the rooms are spacious and the staff are very helpful. It's best to ask for a room at the back and/or higher up because there is a fair amount of street noise in front.
  8. I thought I'd add that we had a great stay at this hotel - we were given a quiet, non-smoking room with a view over the lake. The room was very modern with a sleepnumber bed and other quality amenities. The only extra was a $15 charge for parking which was expected.
  9. correction - this is the sheraton at 801 dixon road - NOT the sheraton gateway
  10. It is shown under Toronto Airport East. There are no additional amenities shown if I scroll over to "see all". The USD rate is $82 before taxes
  11. Looking at a 4 star for July 30. Rate quoted is $83.67CAD. Amenities are: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access 85% positive hotwire reviews. Any clue what this might be? The alternative is the Airport Sheraton at $96.69CAD (named) which is a great price for that hotel. Many thanks
  12. Amenities Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Free Internet Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Booked through your HOTWIRE link. I think it's a new one for your list.
  13. Just booked through your HOTWIRE link. Amenities were Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking
  14. The Aug 7 rate for the Hilton has indeed dropped to $146 from $165 as of this writing. Unfortunately, the price drop was outside the 48 hour window so not eligible for the Best Rate Guarantee. I'm still happy.
  15. Goodness gracious me - I went back to book two rooms for Aug 27 - the Hilton (non-opaque) was there for $126.49CAD per room. Wow.
  16. I just used the Better Bidding HOTWIRE link to get a great deal on the Edinburgh Airport Hilton. I booked two rooms at $165.72CAD each. I used the Hotwire hot Rates function where the hotel name is revealed instead of being opaque. By comparison, the best rate I could find on the Hilton website for this date was 153GBP per room! By comparison, there was a listing for a 4-star hotel under the opaque function at $146.78CAD with these icons: indoor pools, shuttle, fitness centre, pool, restaurant, business centre, high speed internet, self-service laundry, golf nearby, spa, accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, accessible bathroom, handicapped parking, roll-in shower. I thought it might be the Hilton, but the 'golf nearby' makes me think it is more likely the Dalmahoy Resort (Marriott) though that's just a guess. Thanks for the great support this website gives to travellers.
  17. We had a great stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a 4th floor suite with a kitchen overlooking the pool. As a result of a minor snafu on check-in, we were also given vouchers for dinner and breakfast. Totally unexpected. The staff were friendly, the grounds were very pretty, and the pool excellent. Parking was free. Internet was an additional $10. For those not wanting to drive, the hotel has a free shuttle to the gigantic Sawgrass Mills shopping centre.
  18. Just reporting in that we did indeed enjoy our stay at this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, 5 minutes to the beach by walking through the Hilton Village. The in-room refrigerator was a great convenience. Not a place for a romantic stay, in my view, but great for us as we were on a points run (LOL). We noticed a number of airlines use this hotel for their crew. Def better (imho) than the Aqua Palms we had also considered. There's a popular locally run cafeteria for breakfast on the next corner. Don't go to the IHOP - portions were simply enormous and priced to match, food was so so, and service was friendly but incompetent.
  19. I pulled the trigger on this and it was indeed the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure. Our rate was $98.06CAD plus $19.15 CAD in taxes. I'm pleased with this as the comparable rate on the hotel website including taxes was $148.74. And of course I used your HOTWIRE link to make the booking.
  20. 4 star Fort Lauderdale (Westin, Plantation, Davie area) December 9-10 (one night) at $98.06. Icons are restaurant, pool, fitness, hi speed internet, business centre, golf nearby and spa. I'm betting it's the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure. Would you agree? Thank you.
  21. Thanks - I've booked and it was the Ramada Plaza as we surmised. I used your HOTWIRE link to book. Many thanks.
  22. Yes, it is rated 3 star by HOTWIRE so probably the Ramada as you say. The other 4 star property you mention was at $124 (when I looked) with 85% recommending. I am thinking it is the Hawaii Prince as the amenities shown are near beach, pools, high speed internet, ocean front, restaurant, spa, fitness centre, business centre. It's a contender but the Trip Advisor reviews are not so positive mainly because of the distance to the beach. Choices, choices.
  23. Just realized I did not see the boutique icon that should be with Aqua Palms so perhaps this is the Ramada Plaza?
  24. This is showing on Hotwire for $100 a night (super savings, best value). Three stars. 90% recommend. Amenities shown are near beach, business centre, tennis nearby, fitness centre, laundry, pool, high speed internet. I'm thinking it's the Aqua Palms. Do you agree? Many thanks
