  4. I can spend up to $200 a night, not that i want to, the thing that is bothering me the most is what is that 4.5* hotel =( the 4* hotel in both the priceline express deal($147) and in the hotwire deal ($142) are almost forsure going to be the Hotel La jolla =( Im going to find out what it is ill bid one more time and add a zone! its killing me not to know!
  5. So far i tried again today.. same dates, 4.5 star level... im up to $165 and i still haven't won it yet its my 4th bid, started at $130 ive used 4 rebid zones so far..( La Jolla is where i need to stay) + i used Mission bay + North county coastal + Sorrento Messa idk if i should do this anymore or just book a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal. im already way over what i want to spend but i have a feeling that 4.5* hotel in La Jolla, Ca is going to be the La Valencia hotel, or the Grande Colonial La Jolla (dont mind staying at either)... Its the only thing that would make sense in this price range. what do you guys think?
  6. I want the 4.5* thats listed in la jolla, i bid 86. No, added areas (3* areas) bid $95, no...added more areas again, and bid $110 and no dice. $110 max bid so far. im willing to go $120 - 125 next time.
  7. Bid up to $110 didnt get it, changed the ares where i knew there were only 3* n lower hotels, will bid again tomorrow on PRICELINE for $120 and see where it goes.

  11. All I gotta say is wow. They took care of me 100% gave me the best room in the house. I didnt get any priceline discrimination. I was just really polite with the check in clerk and told her we were there for a special occasion they took care of me no problem. I'll chock it up to the best deal I ever got on priceline or for any hotel booking site period. I think that the mean rude and demanding people who are bland are the ones who get screwed. Like someone always told me if you don't ask politely and make it count you will never get what you want.
  12. Well I just said to heck with it and played the priceline game @ $67 like the thing on the last post said and I ended up getting the westin mission hills resort. Mind you, I am traveling with a beautiful woman and no kids. I think for the price it should be well worth it. It would end up being $220 for both nights with that stupid resort fee + all the wonderful good ol USA taxes rolled on. For sure I will be politely haggling the check in person for a little nicer room. Maybe even try the old $20 trick and my charming smile. The last time I did that I won a room on priceline at the JW Marriott last year for only $78 a night Friday/Sat. The lady god bless her looked at me and gave me the $20 right back like I darn messed up. I lit up red like a Xmas tree it was embarrasing. She was very polite and still hooked me up with a better room!!!! I will report back if anyone is interested to see what I did how I went about it and what the result was.
  13. Wow that was fast looks like the price went up! and the areas changed but thats all in the same area i guess they could jazz it up and take off and add as they please. heres whats comming up as of this morning for both sites. Hotwire 85.00 4* Hotel USD per room per night* La Quinta - Indian Wells ( not Rancho Mirage - Palm Desert) but same amenities... i wrote them down the first time Amenities Include: Internet access, Pool(s), Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Business Center, Resort and more... FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Children's actvities, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Priceline 4* $ 86 per night Rancho Mirage - Indian Wells - Palm Desert Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) Indoor or Outdoor Pool Pets Allowed Fitness Center Free Internet Business Center
  14. Hello, This is my first post. I will be as Thourough as possible with the situation. Using the Bidding.helper on this site. I plugged in Palm Desert, Ca for 7/25/14 to 7/27/14. Results are as followed; Hot.wire deal; $65 per night 4* Rancho Mirage - Palm Desert Amenities Include: Free Parking, Internet access, Pool(s), Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Business Center, Resort and more... now heres another same from PRICELINE... Priceline Express Deal; $63 per night 4* Rancho Mirage - Indian Wells - Palm Desert Rated 8.0 out of 10 (or higher) Indoor or Outdoor Pool Pets Allowed Restaurant Fitness Center Business Center they look to be the same hotel IMHO.. Dont know which but can someone identify Heres the kicker.... So i went ahead and did a bid on the NAME your Own price part of PRICELINE, same area same 4* hotel. I bid $55, it was not accepted instead this happened. "Try Again Right Now We searched hundreds of options to find your hotel room, however we can't accept your offer of $55 per room, per night. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 240-919-XXX-XX. If you are willing to raise your price by $12 to $67 per room, per night, you can try the same request again right now. Normally you are required to change additional items (add zones, star level, or dates) in order to try your request again. However we are able to extend this one-time opportunity to you because of the zone, quality level and dates you requested. Name Your Own Price® (per room night) Total charges, including taxes and service fees, are shown on the next page." I don't think i should do it for $67 dollars, its probably going to be the exact same hotel on PRICELINE's express deal. What do you guys think? WWYD?
