  1. Thanks everyone. Overall, not a big deal. The stay was fantastic and it was covered by the company (business trip). We were upgraded on arrival, so it made me feel better about the whole thing. Also, the hotel where the convention was held was charging us $249 per night... so all in all still got savings for the company. I learned my lesson, nonetheless, and now I got $60 for Planet Hollywood for my family trip. Good advise everyone.
  2. Megan: I did like it... for the price. Location was great and service was very good. Free parking was nice. I did not like, however the following: 1) My key pad was not working, and they had to send a handyman, and the whole situation stole 2 hours of our trip 2) They have "castle" music in everyroom, and even though you can lower the volume all the way to mute, you can still hear the next room's music or the music coming from the walk ways. Pretty annoying after a couple of hours, especially at night. Otherwise, a good deal, but I am probably not going back.
  3. Pretty happy about the results: $60 for Planet Hollywood when the hotel shows $209 per night on their web site. However, I needed it from 09/27, which is impossible to get. I tried bidding all the way up to $90 per night for a 4 star hotel for the saturday night stay... no luck. Bidding Sequence: STEP 1: Strip South, 4 stars, $45 REJECTED STEP 2: Added North Strip, increased bid to $55 REJECTED STEP 3: Added Henderson, increased to $60 (I knew the LOEWS there would most likely not accept less than $90 anyway, but if it did, awesome) ACCEPTED I could have probably increased it to $59, as I have seen that to be the lowest price... but you know, you can't be too greedy. Any help on how to get Satuyrday night is welcome
  4. We are visiting Sacramento for the first time to attend my son's friend's birthday (they were good friends when they moved out from San Jose to Sacramento. I am excited about the trip, and the deal was a very good one: Bidding sequence: STEP 1: Sacramento (Downtown), 4 stars, bid: $50 Rejected STEP 2: Counteroffer: They offer me a hotel for $14 more I did not accept STEP 3: Added South Natomas, increased bid to $55 ACCEPTED
  5. Great deal for this hotel. We also got the Sheraton (3 stars) for $100 per night for the previous 3 nights. Very excited.

  10. Hi there. This seems to be an incredible hotel, and for the price I got, I would have not been able to get a basic 3*. I tried multiple times to get 3 and 4 * hotels starting at $50 and worked my way up to $80, adding $5 at a time. Bringing family to a business trip now!
  11. I wanted to get this hotel in advance. Love this hotel! I was there for a conference and I swore to bring my wife and kid back one day. Tried $85, $89, and then decided to go for $99. The hotel goes for $190 a night for regular nights... higher for conventions and other events.
  12. Hi there. I was looking for a resort type of experience in Vegas. Lake Las Vegas seems to be out of the $100 range for now, so decided to lock this rate. $89 for 2 nights. Price through Westin's website is $169, so I feel this is a good deal. Rob
