Jan 2009: I see PRICELINE has added Dominican Republic hotels. I have not seen many people posting their wins, only 1 person who got the Hotel Melia Caribe Tropical for an unbelievable rate of $154 per night, all inclusive.

it told me that for my "security and protection", the site cannot process another similar reservation, since I already have 2 other reservations (it said 2, even though I really have 3 already) customer service says i should be able to click on "do it anyway", but that option was not available.

I already got the Hyatt Grand Cypress for 3 rooms: Feb 3-8 Feb 3-10 Feb 4-8 I need another room for Feb 5-8. Does anyone know what the risk is of getting another hotel if i make the reservation using another person's account? Rob

Hi everyone! I'm booking a family reunion and already got 3 rooms at the same hotel for the dates i needed. I tried one more room, but PRICELINE tells me they can't do more than what I already have. So now am I stuck with paying full price at the hotel directly? We also needed 2 of the rooms to be adjoining (kids in one, parents in another). But hotel says they can't guarantee anything. any ideas?

Taking a bit of a risk, I went looking for a third room for a family trip. Got the same hotel (wooohooo), but now at $81 (first room was at $85, second at $82). Looking forward to our family reunion there.

Thanks everyone. I ended up staying at a different hotel that Saturday night (The LV Hilton). Not bad for the price, but the hotel catered to older people. The stay at the PH was absolutely great. Specially their buffet... it's fantastic

Very happy with the results as this is 60% less than their lowest price advertised on their site. I tried resort on WDW first at $65 --> no luck then added an area without resorts and bid $75 -->no luck then added another area without resorts and bid $85 --> SUCCESS! Can't wait to check it out.
