  1. Tried bidding for this property using $40, $45, $48, and $50 over a span of a few days. Each time it came back and said it couldn't accept my offer, but they would accept $56/night. Decided against that since it was showing as $52/night using Priceline Express. Listed amenities - Free parking Business Center Airport Shuttle Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  2. Just won this property, still am confused as to how exactly. But, it's okay. I bid on Reston area for a 2.5* property. I had identified one on PRICELINE EXPRESS that was likely Hyatt House for $73. So, started bidding at $60 for 2.5* in Reston area. Instead got a 3.5* in Reston area. And, when I went to PRICELINE EXPRESS saw what was likely this property sitting there for $44. Oh well. On another note, has anyone tried calling SPG property after winning on PL and upgrading to club level? I am a SPG member with a few points, was wondering if this might be possible. I might give it a try, and see what happens.
  3. Just won this property by using Name Your Own Price bidding tool. Listed on PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals at $51/night. Listed on PRICELINE at $84/night. Savings of a little less than $40 or 55% savings.
  4. Stayed at this property last night for $55 (before taxes). Won this property by bidding. I saw it sitting on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $66, $50 was first bid but was rejected. Added another zone, and moved up to $55 and got a hit. Was very pleased, and would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. The breakfast was great, and the reception is a nicely added touch. I originally wanted to be in the casino resorts, but waited too long and couldn't snag a deal. Lesson learned there! I still went to the casino, but actually saved myself about $60-$70 by staying off property. So, can't really complain. On to the amentities: Indoor Pool Fitness Center Business Center Non-smoking rooms Free parking Complimentary buffet breakfast
  5. Amentities: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Free Internet, Free parking, Non-smoking rooms, Pets Allowed, Pool, Restaurant They also offer room service, but didn't see it listed. Was listed on Priceline at $109; so $50 or so in savings.
  6. I got this through the "Hot Deals" by Hotwire for $70. Normal price is $85; although on the Hot Deals page it listed the "starting price" at $130, which made me think it was the Hampton Inn...but it was not! Hotel Amentities: Free parking Free breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness center Pool Business Center Internet Access
  7. Just bought it directly. No bidding, or express. I had a very specific location that I wanted to be in, and couldn't chance that one of the Express Deals would give me a hotel not near where I needed to be place.
  8. It was $62. And, no bidding, no PRICELINE EXPRESS. Just bought it directly on Price.line.
  9. Purchased on Price.line directly. No bidding, no PRICELINE EXPRESS.
  10. This was nearly a year ago. I have no idea what we paid, and I'm unsure of how many stars it actually had.
  11. Hey all. Am looking at the dates fo 6/24/15-6/25/15 in the Harrisburg area. I am trying out the "Express Deals". I am mainly interested in the "Harrisburg West" category. I am trying to identify the following 2 hotels... $109/night; 3.5 stars Amentities: internet, parking, swimming pool, pets, airport shuttle, fitness center, restaurant, business center $102/night; 3 stars Amentities: internet, parking, swimming pool, fitness center, business center I was trying to figure out what each are...there are no 3.5 star hotels on the list on this website for the "Harrisburg West" section. I was thinking this may be the Radisson, thought I'm not sure? Any ideas would be appreciated!
  12. This may sound a little crazy, but the date is for today. So 7/25/14-7/26/14. Thanks
  13. Hi. We are looking for a place to stay in West Virginia for overnight. We would just be staying, sleeping, and getting up and driving after we are rested. I am looking at the Express Deals and see 2 that may fit our needs: Summersville for $59/night. 1 star; Pets allowed, free breakfast, free parking, and free internet I believe that this may be the "Econo Lodge" property. Anyone know? The second we are considering is... Fayetteville for $77/night. 2.5 stars; Pets allowed, free breakfast, free parking, free internet, and a pool. Anyone have any clue what property this might be? Thanks in advance!
  14. Wow! Great catch! I walked by that location quite a few times this past weekend...looked very nice. Would you recommend it to others?! Just curious! :)
  15. Yes, you are correct. Sorry for the mistake! Guaranteed amentites are: free breakfast, free internet, and pet friendly.
  16. I needed a hotel to spend a night in State College; coming back from New York City. I tried doing the bidding, but did not have much luck. Found this hotel under the "Express Deal". Was $44 before taxes, used the coupon, and the ending total was a little over $53. The hotel is regularly priced at $70(before taxes). Site said I saved 37% on the purchase.
  17. Thanks so much for your help. I actually went ahead last night (before I saw this post) and decided to give it a go. I don't think I quite understood how the rebidding process works with different zones etc. I went up to I think $120 using the zones indicated in one of the previous posts with 3 and 4 star options and didn't get any hits. So, I added the 2 star zone (this is what I'm used to staying in when I go places), and go from there. At any rate. I did end up getting a hotel. Clarion Hotel Park Avenue 2 star hotel (despite what I said about wanting a 3 or 4) $98/night (before taxes; about $128 after) Midtown East Area Checked out the going rates online and it seems you can't get anything much cheaper than $163 a night (after taxes) with them; so a savings of $40ish. Might not seem like too much, but it's something. This seems to be the perfect location. Everything is within a 15 minute walk of the location, or so the internet says!
  18. I have never been on the subway, and think it could be a fun time, so that wouldn't really be an issue for me, and it is relatively cheap. So, that's definitely something I would be open to. I would like to try for a 3+ or 4 star if that is realistic. I would be open to any other zones that may be convenient for me. I would most definitely rather pay $2.50 for subway ride vs. $40 extra for a room! haha
  19. I'm not completely sure. It says "10 East 21st Street, New York, NY 10010" is listed as the address.
  20. I am not wanting to be too picky. Dates I'm looking at are 3/28-3/29. Hoping for Chelsea, Empire State Building type of area. Open to other areas though. My conference is on 21st street. Also, I will be arriving and leaving via bus that is on Division Street. So I am trying to find a place not too far from either one. Would like to be able to travel for the most part by walking to help cut down on costs. Budget would be no more than $150 & I am hoping for a 3 star or higher (if I can).
  21. Hi all! New member here. I am a college student needing a hotel room in NYC for a night due to a workshop I'd like to attend. Anyhow, are there any age restrictions set forth by Priceline? I just turned 21 in February, so that shouldn't be an issue. However, do some hotels require you to be 25 or older to check in (some places do this; mostly beaches)? And, if I bid & win a hotel room that you have to be over 25+ for, what happens? Can I get a refund or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance!
