  1. Won the 3.5* Doubletree Hotel Pittsburgh Airport on my 4th bid, starting with zone 1 only @ $55, then adding zone 3 (1,3) @ $56, zone 7 (1,7) @ $57 and finally for the win, zone 8 (1,8) @ $59. This hotel is not listed in the Winning bid hotels for PIT, so this will be a new one for the list. Just for reference, prices on most booking sites were around $105 for the dates. I'll let everyone how it turn out.
  2. Started out bidding 4* but price got higher than I was willing to pay for just 1 night. So I went down to 3 1/2*, started at $50 per night in Zone 19 (Downtown Baltimore - Inner Harbor - Fells Point), then $55 using 19 & 4, close browser, $60 for 19 & 5, close browser, then an accepted bid of $65 using zone 19 & 6 for the "Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor At Camden Yards". Price on most of the websites is $194 per night, so I would say a pretty good deal. There are currently 10 zones in Baltimore that don't have 3 1/2 stars in them so you have plenty of options to choose from. Amenities: Free Internet (in Public Area) Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Handicap Accessible Business Center
  3. Sorry forgot to get back with details. We just ended up staying at the Spring Hill Suites EWR, the reviews were correct very nice hotel for the price. We drove into the city on Saturday, and parked the car for the day and took the subway to Yankee Stadium, The 911 Memorial, and a great dinner at Keens Steakhouse. Thanks for all the help.
  4. $70 After 4 tries. ONT A/W $60 Denied. ONT A/W + Cor. Riv. $63 nope. ONT A/W + Fontana $66 no again ONT A/W + ONT A/E Accepted.
  5. Sorry forgot th list the hotel details. Sheraton Bucks County Hotel 3.5& $61 Listed Amenities: Free Parking Free Internet Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Golf Nearby Accessible for the blind In-room accessibility Handicapped parking
  6. Got a great deal here for just 1 night ($61), over 50% off the best available rate on any site. Thanks for all the help on this site.
  7. We will probably drive to the Mets game on Friday. We will park at Newark Penn or Secaucus Junction station and take the train to NYC Penn, and use the subway for Yankees game and other activities in town on Saturday. One good thing about this hotel I guess is we are flying to/from Trenton (TTN) so we are on the right side to head out on our way home. I'll check the PE offer. Any Idea what hotel it is?
  8. Appreciate all the help. Got shut out up to $180, tried again 2 days later subbed MTE for DT, same results (seems to be a higher priced time). I tried 3.5* in Seacaucus - NB, up to $135 again with no luck. We have booked Spring Hill Suites @ EWR for $110 (do you know anything about this hotel?), one of our travelers had some kind of Marriott discount. Will try again as we get closer to April and see what happens. Thanks again.
  9. Thanks, I'll post results after my attempt.
  10. We have a group of 4 people(guys trip) driving to NYC staying 4/25-4/27 we'll get 2 rooms. Plan to attend Mets game Friday night, the Yankees game Saturday afternoon (1:05) then subway to 9/11 Memorial and dinner in the evening. Thinking 4* or even 4 1/2*, max we would like to pay is $200, less is hopeful. The areas I'm thinking of are MSG, MTW, TS, ESB, CHE, less so DT/FIN. Our backup plan would be to stay out in Jersey, Secaucus area, take the train to Penn St. and go from there. I believe the only 3 1/2* in area is the Embassy Suites. Any advice would be welcomed Thanks
