  1. I tried to replicate the search and no longer found that offer. I am now seeing 3.5* in Monterey for $101 with pets allowed, business center, pool, restaurant, no smoking, and free internet.
  2. Free wifi and parking, pets allowed, fitness center, restaurant, pool, non-smoking. Also looking at Name-Your-Price for Carmel Valley 3.5* $78 but no amenities given.
  3. Ended up working with the PRICELINE bidding system after the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals on both sites jumped up on prices by more than $20 for the night. 3.5* Disneyland-Anaheim-Garden Grove $100 bid Sheraton Garden Grove-Anaheim South 34% savings
  4. Day before planned stay win: Sheraton Garden Grove-Anaheim South $100 bid (bids from $70-95 not accepted) +$23 taxes and fees. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the full list of amenities as I had to do the booking on my phone but the ones that it did state were the standard amenities: fitness center, business center, accessible.
  5. I have decided to go with one of the hotwire express deals for my trip instead of bidding. Here is what they are giving me, any thoughts on which hotel this would be? 8/9-8/10 3.5* $95 Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Would it still be the doubletree?
  6. After seeing the hotels in the 3.5* range on priceline I was also looking at those and here is what I got for 8/9-8/10: $98 Disneyland-Anaheim Convention Center-Garden Grove Pool Pets Allowed Restaurant Fitness Center Business Center Since the amenities listed are pretty standard I'm having a hard time figuring out which hotel this would be. Also, what bidding strategy would you recommend for 3.5-4* in this area for those dates if I were to bid rather than take a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal. Thank you!
  7. 8/9-8/10 HOTWIRE 3.5* Disneyland South $86 Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Self-service laundry center Internet Access 80% recommend My best guess is the Embassy Suites Anaheim South or the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Thoughts?
  8. $97/night 4* hotel near Disneyland on Priceline Express Deals: Outdoor pool Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant Guest rating of 8+ Bed choice assigned at check-in I'm guessing the Anaheim Marriott since most of the hotels around there (other than that one) are less than 4* and this one has all of the amenities listed. Any thoughts?
  9. Took a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal through hotwire as this is one of many trips I am planning and I did not want to worry about a hotel anymore. 1/17-1/19 Hotwire 3.5-star Times Square $105/night The Manhattan Hotel at Times Square Overall the reviews have been very mixed so I'm really nervous about this stay but I'm hoping for the best with the amazing location. I was hoping for the Room Mate Grace as it had the same descriptions as what is listed under the list section of Better Bidding but no cancellations now!
  10. I would like to stay in Midtown East or Times Square/Theatre District in a 4-star or higher for preferably less than $150/night including taxes. If possible I will try bidding up but I'm not sure what is average for this as I have seen people winning 4.5 star hotels for $125 but also people winning 4-star hotels for a bit more than that. I know that it depends on the dates as well as to how the prices will go. I am open to only using priceline for 1/17-1/19 if that makes a difference as groupon has the Hotel Mela for $129/night for the night of the 16th.
  11. Hello! I was wondering if anyone could advise on the best priceline bidding strategy for a hotel (preferably 4 stars but will also go for 3/3.5 if there have been good wins) from 1/16/2014-1/19/2014 for 2 people (1 room). I would prefer to stay in Midtown East, Midtown West, or Times Square area if possible while trying not to spend over $150/night. Idealistically I would like to try and spend between $100 and $120 per night - a little bit less than what the express deal is for (4-star midtown east $125). Also, has anyone won anything similar for dates in January that could advise me on what the possible hotels would be? Thank you!
